Gutted, and very disappointed.

Over a week ago I purchased a plate I've had my eye on for months. I finally bit the bullet and purchased the plate. Everything was fine, I got email confirmation and a letter asking which vehicle I'd like it registering to.. All was well. I was told they would begin the transfer.

Over a week later I had heard nothing and thought it was taking a while. Then this morning I find out that the previous owner of the plate had not successfully put the plate on retention and has therefore lost all rights to it.

So they can't fulfil the purchase Iv'e made.

This is madness to me, that a website like this is listing plates for sale and taking funds for registrations that aren't able to be sold! Surely they should be asking for retention certificate copies from the current owners in order to sell online?

Very very disappointing..

I’ve been chasing this plate for a few years now, I asked Jon at Regplates if he could make it happen & he just said leave it with me, honestly Jon went to extraordinary lengths to get this deal across the line, I was even in contact with him outside business hours & I can truly say I cannot thank him enough for what he has done for me & my Family, I would not choose to go anywhere else other than Regplates to get another plate!

First class service from ordering to receiving my plates

Okay, what can I say, phenominal. I struggled on the dvla site 3 times to get plates. I made 1 call got them to get the plate I wanted. They tansfered all the information across new v5 to the door even my tax was transferred to the vehicle. Done in 3 working days all I had to do was notify insurance company for the change of plate. Brilliant
