NEVER EVER CONSIDER RENTING AN OFFICE HERE
I am writing this to warn others not to make the same mistake we have by trusting Regus!
The most serious of the many issues I will be sharing is the AC in our office has not been working properly since the beginning of our contract. There have been multiple pleas for action on this both in writing and countless verbal requests which have fallen on death ears. Only one vent in our office pumps some slightly cooler air in the room and sometimes doesn’t seem to work at all.
As a result of this my team and I are not able to utilise the space a lot of the time and certainly not on hot days. The management are aware of this and don’t seem to care.
It has been months and months and still no action on this and we are left to suffer as a result.
For such expensive rent I never in a million years expected issues like this.
Another major issue is the grave HEALTH RISK that the water filter has not been serviced since 2024! (PLEASE SEE PHOTO FOR EVIDENCE). This is not only a risk to tenant’s health and safely but another blatant example of Regus’s negligence. As I understand, Regus staff avoid drinking this water. This is truly shocking!
Electrical faults: Recently there has been sparks coming from plugs and worrying popping sounds. Although this was dealt with fairly swiftly, it serves as another example of the LOW QUALITY and potentially DANGEROUS environment tenants are expected to work in and PAY A HUGE AMOUNT FOR.
This office is very unsuitable for anyone wishing to work beyond the ‘normal’ working hours of 9 to 6pm. Although there is 24 access, most services as well as the AC does not work out of these hours.
Another shocking and deeply unethical practice is the ultra-profiteering nature of Regus’s business model. If you need anything put on the walls (whiteboards, pictures etc) you will be FORCED to use one of Regus’s contractors. We were charged almost 400 ringgits to put up a small fan. They likely made a huge profit on this.
Regus also don’t allow you to buy a parking season ticket from the building management. Instead, you are FORCED to purchase it from them at (likely) an inflated price to add to the profit Regus extort from you.
Late fee’s for essentially paying early: Regus take payment from the 1st to the 15th of the previous month for the following months rent. This unusual mechanism is not properly explained and means if you pay your rent for example on the 17th of the month for the following month you will likely be charged ‘late fees’ essentially penalising you for paying early. This is yet another deeply unfair method of extracting money from their tenants.
Do yourself a favour and NEVER CONSIDER RENTING AN OFFICE HERE.
