Suggested property advertised in an area. Then description underneath relates to same street name, in completely different area of UK?? Another review here said same thing happened to them. Poor. Other companies are constantly updating properties but don't charge £19.99 a month.

I had joined this to hopefully find a home, unfortunately that was not the case. Paid £1 for the 3 day premium. Was not able to find anything so I cancelled my subscription. Then I get an email being threatened to be taken to debt collection?! Over a 19.99 bill I had cancelled!! This is horrible. Luckily no money was taken but this needs sorted. What an absolute scam and heart attack.

be aware that they will charge you 19.99 a month just so you don't have to search for properties on different websites. its not for private landlords and is such a waist of money when really you might as well just open 2,3 tabs of different agencies to find a property

Not helpful at all
Rentaroof is an aggregator of properties from different sites and lists them on their own. A great concept as it saves having to scroll different websites to find your ideal home.
What isn't great, however, is the price they charge for such a service. Whilst it may be worth it to some people looking to save time, £19.99 a month is a bit steep especially in this current economic climate.
The two biggest issues I have had with this, is the following:
- There aren't that many properties in the area (that could just be down to location and what is available, something they aren't able to help)
- The accuracy of the listings. It took a month for the website to finally update me with a new listing, only for the data to be incorrect as the listing was located somewhere 2 hours away from my location/the location specified in the search filter.
These alone make it difficult to even consider paying a premium for the service, but my biggest issue (and the reason I am even writing this review in the first place) is the predatory nature of how the subscription model is set up.
When you do decide to bite the bullet and subscribe, you have the option for a 3-day trial that costs only £1. A fantastic option for those who want to try the service before committing to it, as it gives you full access to the site and it's features.
After the 3 days is over, you are then charged the full amount for a month.
After deciding I no longer wanted to continue my subscription as I didn't consider the service to be worth the full amount, I attempted to cancel my subscription, but it didn't work. After multiple attempts of cancelling, nothing happened.
When the time came for the subscription to finish, rentaroof continued as if I was still active, and gave me a month's premium, but because the transaction didn't go through, I now owe them for a month I did not want in the first place.
Now they are sending me threatening emails demanding I pay, otherwise it will go to their legal team, and then debt collections, who will increase the fee considerably.
I have tried contacting them via their support email and have received 0 correspondence back.
The stress this has caused me has been mentally exhausting.
If you've made it this far, do NOT use rentaroof. Their customer service is non existent, and their subscription policy is predatory. If you need to find properties, just search other websites and save yourself the trouble. At least other websites will input the correct information on the listings as well.

Nightmare landlady
Please don't waste your time viewing the 3 bed property Smore Slade Hills, Oadby, Leicester.
The landlady is extremely extremely vulgar and the most rude and vile person you will come across. Difficult and humiliating.
Honest opinion, for how ill-mannered she is, the property is not even up to date, very outdated furniture and bathroom and old dirty carpets for the landlady to be acting all prestige. Stay away!
