Scott is a waxed cotton Wizard!
He has revived a much loved but exceedingly worn gilet from R M Williams, Australia, bought in 2016 and treated abysmally by me for over a decade.
It was posted back to me in zero waste paper packaging, in its own cotton sack, with a detailed personal note signed by Scott and Chris and even a little pin badge.
It is, in my opinion "better than new"; it has all the memories but now looks wonderfully tough once more. The numerous detailed repairs are practically invisible, with a tiny patch being the only giveaway to the trained eye. A little reminder of the resurrection!
Their service is quite simply above and beyond. If you want to be utterly delighted, like a child on Christmas Day, send them your own challenge.
Their enthusiasm for the work is the bedrock on which they stand, quite rightly, head and shoulders above the rest.

The team were professional, friendly, and really know their stuff. Managing to source an original barbour zip as a replacement as well as an outstanding re-wax job.

The extreme hot weather of the last few weeks caused issues but Steve let me know straight away, managed expectations and gave updated timelines. Which is just what I'd expect them to do, and the weather was certainly not their fault!

So would very much recommend.

I highly recommend this company. From the very first email the communication and customer service was outstanding. The quality of the work is brilliant my relatively new but not that well made wax jacket came back better than new. The original wax coating was not very good and had me wet through within a couple of wears but I can honestly say that Scott and Revive Retold have now protected me from the elements better than expected.

Excellent customer service throughout, Scott clearly communicates throughout the process and the final finished jacket is immaculate, he even identified a few extra bits of work and did them without extra charge! Would highly recommend, my jacket is 10 years old but now looks good as new.

No ifs nor buts :The service from Revive Retold in repairing my Belstaff jacket was from first contact to its return exemplary. An examination of the jacket was made to assess whether the repairs I thought necessary were sufficient to return it to good order. Carrying out the work was not conditional on having the jacket cleaned and rewaxed. I actually like its authentic mildly patinated condition. The repairs were carried out as soon as replacement parts could be sourced. I am fully satisfied with the result. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Revive Retold. I was kept informed by Scott throughout. Would that I could rely on this level of attention and value for money more often.
They were a delight to work with.

My 35-year-old Barbour was for the chop until I found REVIVE RETOLD - it’s Veteran run.
So many memories woven in to that old ragged, leaky coat - I had patched and stitched it like a proper amateur and it was basically Cat 5!
Got my quote (cheaper than buying a brand new one), sent my coat (easy labels emailed to me), and then let the professionals do their job.
Chris and Scott were straight up with me: REBUILD required! They kept me informed all the way. They wouldn’t take any more money from me, even though I knew they were going the extra mile to sort it.
Just wait for when it arrives - you’re in for a real treat: So much craftsmanship. A new experience in an old coat - now unique - that’ll probably see me out now!!!

I have known Scott for many years, so I was really excited for him and Chris when they launched Revive Retold. Their hands-on experience with clothing for extreme weather truly sets them apart—they understand what actually works in real conditions.

I never thought I’d get excited about a wax jacket repair, but I am over the moon with the refurbishment of my faithful, heavily beaten up 20-year old Barbour jacket. It was worn, torn, falling apart in places, but Scott of Revive Retold has worked a miracle! I could not have wished for better service from start to finish, with Scott sending me full survey and advising me of numerous options for repair. I opted for the funky contrasting patches and I am totally delighted with the finished product! I even love the eco packaging and the inclusion of care advice.

You will not find a better solution for getting your favourite wax jacket refurbished. And they’re ex-Royal Marines, too - proper heroes.

Sent my 40 year old Barbour Gamefair jacket which was in a pretty bad state to Scott at Revive Retold, they did an exceptional job of bringing it back to life repairing all the rips, tears and holes, the result was way beyond my expectations. Great service, would definitely recommend.

Absolutely fantastic service by Scott, 10/10. Scott restored my waxed Filson bibs. After a few seasons of hedgelaying they were in pieces. The work he did was nothing short of exceptional. His communication, eye for detail and quality of work is first class. Faultless. Will definitely use again.

In the absence of a service by Belstaff themselves then I would recommend this as a great option.

Slightly more expensive than the service that Barbour provide for their own jackets, however the jacket was returned in excellent condition with notes on how take care of it.

Nice touch that they sent photographs showing the outcome before it was returned to me.

Scott painstakingly restored my Barbour International jacket, which had previously been over waxed and had acquired a musty smell. I was kept fully informed during the process and received it back looking like it was when I bought it some 15 years ago! A testament to the work undertaken. Would thoroughly recommend this company and am sending them a second jacket to work their magic on!
