We spent 5 days in southern Carpathians in Romania tracking bison. Tracking is an important word as this turned out to be a fantastic immersion in nature and in the wild, really looking after wild animals. Beyond tracking and observing nature and animals, we met fantastic people from either WWF or local communities who greatly contributing to make that trip unforgettable. Organization, accomodation, food... were excellent. On top of that, we had a lot of fun ! We warmly recommend Rewilding Travel and will certainly choose another trip with them.

Great trip to Central Apennines. Stunningly beautiful area with majestic wildlife. Guides were top class and really knowledgeable. Accommodation was good though food could have been a little better especially in the two hotels. The Agritourismo had better food. As it was Italy the default expectation is wonderful food but it didn't always deliver that. That said it was a brilliant trip with amazing hikes. An area that must be seen. The group were lovely. You'd want a reasonable level of fitness and be ready for some early starts. !

Amazing hikes and wildlife spotting with very knowledgeable guides in the National Parks of the Appenines in Italy. Were blessed with great weather and some amazing accommodation including a farm stay and a medieval 'hotel ' which had been owned by the Medici family. Days were full...with the opportunity to opt out if you didn't fancy a 4.30 am wake up to see wolves ... I'm glad I didn't miss that one. Was interested to learn about rewilding in this region....a process not without problems but there is hope.
I gave my review 4 because there were issues for me with the food ;I'm gluten free and the provision for me was sometimes very disappointing.
However I would definitely recommend a trip with RET .Just ensure that you ask questions about length of hikes and elevation before you commit.

My husband and I went on the Swedish Lapland Mountains of Sapmi trip with RET and had a great time. I would highly recommend this trip. We arrived at the fishing camp by snowmobile where we stayed for three nights. We had a spectacular view of the northern lights. We went snowshoeing and ice fishing, and we saw moose and ptarmigan. The food was great, including the several meals we had with reindeer. Our guides and the staff were experienced and fun. RET had every part of the trip planned so we had no issues or problems. We definitely hope to take another RET trip in the future.

Wow! What a special, soul enhancing experience.
We had the pleasure of being in the Abruzzo National Park Wolf Trekking and learning about how the amazing people at Rewilding support endangered species, creating coexistence with communities and helping to fund and educate communities to help keep the balance of ecology. The pleasure was in both silently observing nature as well as learning from our guide, Valeria, the delicate balance of nature. Our Hotel was superb too - great service all around.

We went wolf tracking in the Abruzzo National Park and had a magical few days with our wonderful guide, Valeria. The early morning starts were well worth the effort and we managed to cover a huge area in just three days. The family-run hotel, Hotel Iris, was perfect and they couldn't have been more hospitable. Definitely a trip to remember!

My first solo group adventure was with Rewilding Europe Travel to search for wolves in the Mountains of Abruzzo National Park, in Italy.
Small group of in total 6 lady´s. Our Guide Andrea had a lot of knowledge about the area and was very patients with us. We had a lot of fun with the group and the snow shoes.
We were to late to hear 9 wolves howl, but we did found them in the mountains.
Went for some nice hikes and now and then we stopt to get information about the area and the animals and people who were living there.

Loved the experience. Will definitely be back to go on more adventures with Rewilding Europe Travel.

We went wolf tracking in Abruzzo and had a fantastic weekend. We were two families and weren't sure how much we could achieve with children but our guide Andrea was great and slightly adjusted our plans to suit our group. We did everything we wanted to at a pace that suited us. We'll be back!

If you want to go to Sápmi (North Sweden) and don’t want to do the touristic tour of snow scooters and ice hotels, then go with Rewilding Europe Travel. Off the beaten track, dog sleigh, sleeping in tents with the Sámi and cross-country skiing in minus 30 on frozen lakes and outdoor lunches. Northern light, elk and reindeer safari and getting an unforgettable insight in Sámi culture, the last indigenious people in Europe. Highly professional guide and very small groups. When traveling with RET you support actively the many projects to make Europe a wilder place. What an unforgettable trip!

My wife and I visited Abruzzo on our honeymoon, hoping to see wolves. We had a magical few days, including great sitings of lots of wildlife. Would love to do another RET trip in the future.

A really excellent guided holiday to see the wonderful mountains and wildlife of the Abruzzo national park. Everything went well from start to finish, the admin, accommodation and guides.

Our journey with Rewilding Europe Travel was amazing. Our trip was bison tracking in the Southern Carpathians. Irene and the team were very helpful in arranging our trip for us which was a fantastic family adventure. The people we met in Romania were totally delightful and inspiring, and very passionate about the conservation work they're doing. I would thoroughly recommend booking an experience through them.
