Hi there,
This is Aisling from the RH Team here.
I’m so sorry to hear you were disappointed with the project that had undergone.
Yes, 100 year old floorboards can be very tricky to match up in colour as the new wood is much brighter than newer floorboards we would install. I do my best to make clients aware of this before proceeding with the work and offer staining solutions that won’t be an exact match, but helps blend a floor.
Can I ask did you have work done prior to this year or was this done this year?
Unfortunately for certain types of reclaimed floorboards it can be very tricky to source as the scarcity of makes them highly sought after. 170mm red deal boards for example are very rare to find as reclaimed, but we are always happy to install any materials you are able to provide.
I’m sorry to hear you didn’t feel comfortable enough to address these issues to me so I could try find a resolution for you.
The reason we would have so many positive google reviews, would be in part to the fact that we are committed to ensuring our clients get the best floors that is possible for us to provide. Sometimes mistakes can be made, as can happen in any business.
Our teams are built up of humans, and sometimes humans make mistakes. We understand this and take the responsibility of mistakes, we address them and do our best to make sure client isn’t the one to take the fall.
Which many smaller companies, who don’t rely on reviews, may do.
We do our best to arrange a solution (Which can be an absolute nuisance for my packed diary 🥲) but it’s important to the business we get it right and you’re not sat there looking at a mistake for years to come, with growing regret on the company.
Yes, sometimes we will go back to resand a floor 4 times. When a client is very particular about a colour they and we’ve given them the impression we can achieve what they need. This time is at cost to the business, but if we’re at fault as to why the client isn’t getting what they believed to be getting then we’re committed to getting it right.
These are the policies I try implement as my own commitment to my clients. I apologies for not providing you with the right environment where you felt confident enough to come talk to me about it.
If you’d like to reach back out to me on WhatsApp and we can discuss what went wrong with the work and come up with a solution together of what a remedy might look like I’d be happy to try help anywhere I could.
