Product quality is excellent. at least so far. Drives arrived well packed in Sealed ESD bags and appear new.
Price was very competitive.

While I can't comment yet on the long-term performance of the drives (that will require a few months of consistent use), the initial impression is excellent. They were packaged well and arrived in perfect condition. The fast delivery allowed me to get my NAS upgrades live much sooner than expected, which was a huge bonus.

I am not able to reach them via their mail and it's been over 20 days. Not able to claim warranty with seagate either so im screwed.

As for the answer from robertelectronics, I sent two follow ups one week apart for each, and the order was on the co.uk site. I'm however bumping it up to three stars because the Swedish site, which I did not order from, actually helped me out. They were very fast in online chats.

They were within the delivery time and even emailed me when royal mail missed me to remind me to pick up my package.

I'm buying my next HDD from them too!

Bought one Exos 16 To hdd delivered to France, completely new and very well boxed in one anti-static sealed sleeve and protected by a protective foam all over the hdd. Unfortunately, I think delivery is not very gentle with our parcels.. for a HDD that could be very nefast 😬😮‍💨💀.. Even very well packed... Order from the 2 January, sent the 3 January ! 👌 Received the 8 January 2024👍, tested the same day, and was defective.
So I contact, the sav by the chat present on the website, I sent a face-picture of my HDD, then I have be refund in effective way the 14 January. 👌 They sent me the proof of the pending refund in picture with the chat. The website could be a bit more clearer, it's a bit a mess concerning the infos to have,(only the page layout, all infos are presents) and the sav could be a bit faster to answer but it answers are concises,precises and effectives. So I recommend this website even if I were unlucky with my order. 🙂

Was skeptical, but got hard drive 0 power on hours and no errors. It was a brand new drive from 2 years ago - so that explains the deal but I expect that and am happy with it!

Ordered from Robert electrsonics many times, very slow and satisfied, testing found no faults, at such a great price I have nothing to complain about.

I decided to purchase three Seagate IronWolf Pro Enterprise NAS drives from Robert Electronics after a specific model became EOL and was not available anywhere else online.

The delivery time was as expected and the drives were packaged exceptionally well, and were each individually wrapped in their own anti-static packets.

However, after purchasing, I read one reviewer's finding that their drive's internal metrics, sold by Robert Electronics, reflected an incongruency with being in new condition.

After running 'smartctl -l farm [dev]' for each of the three drives, I unfortunately found that they had the POH values of 18810, 14165 and 11150. To say I am disappointed is a gross understatement.

While being marketed as new, and spending in excess of £500, I did not expect these readings. Now, I don't know whether these values have been obtained from prior general usage or by manufacturer testing. However, I strongly suspect the former and am very much disappointed by this. I will not be using this seller again and would not recommend anyone else to.

Reply to seller's response: It's unlikely the majority of other buyers of Seagate drives have actually viewed the F.A.R.M. data rather than S.M.A.R.T. values. I personally did not even know Seagate drives had additional internal metrics on top of S.M.A.R.T. until I read another review of your company.

In addition, the S.M.A.R.T. data on each drive had been deceptively wiped, displaying most values at zero, which has clearly deceived other buyers. Now, you tell me how the S.M.A.R.T. data depicts an unused drive and the F.A.R.M. data doesn't? Because you, or some entity within your supply chain, wiped the S.M.A.R.T data and assumed no one would be able to notice.

I ordered two drives, one of which seemed to be nonoperational on arrival. The return process was quick and straightforward, and there were no issues with the replacement drive.

I was pleased both with the drives themselves, and with the attentive customer service.

Great store with great prices, I bought two Seagate EXOS X16 and they arrived in about 10 days in the UK, price was great, drives new 0 hours and 100% life and very well packaged.

Since drives were OEM there is no warranty with the manufacturer so hopefully Robert can sort should anything go wrong at a later date.

Will be buying from here again.

5 drives in soon to be 6 no problems so far will continue to use.
Packaged well and competitively priced

The drive was sold as new but the one I received is used. I checked the drive's SMART data and it says that it has zero power-on hours, but the drive has an XFS filesystem on it, and is full of .ftl files.

Checking the Seagate Field Access Reliability Metrics (FARM) data using "smartctl -l farm /dev/sda" shows that the power-on hours are actually 10936.

So it seems that the SMART data has been wiped, but apparently whoever did that can't wipe the FARM data or forgot to do so. I probably wouldn't have noticed that the drive was used if it wasn't for my system warning me about the existing filesystem when I started setting it up.

The price is actually good for a used drive, and the FARM data shows that's it's only been lightly used, so I think I might keep it to avoid the hassle of returning it. It's a shame that it was deceptively sold as new, though, and that does leave a bitter taste in the mouth.

Was a little dubious about ordering from overseas, but the drives arrived when they said they would, were very well packed encased in thick foam around anti-static bags, and are installed in my PC and working well. Will definitely use again when I upgrade to a NAS, as their pricing was better than anywhere else I found.

Excellent people and hassle free replacements. Got a couple IronWolf 8TB drives in May 23, drives manufactured in Jan 22 so guessing they get surplus older stock on the cheap but not old enough to worry. One drive just started throwing up warnings in unraid with reallocated sectors and CrystalDisk saying caution, they replaced the drive immediately after some pictures of the drive and stats. Second drive starts doing the same a couple weeks later reallocated sectors and warnings, no hassle replacement being sent out. Their failure records show 8TB IronWolf's (non pro) have apparently the highest failure rate above all others that they sell, not sure if that's due to being the most popular decent size/lowish price drive for homelab start ups so more sold and more to go wrong or the fact Seagate quality control on that one is lacking, but the customer service from RCH has been outstanding.
