Arrived promptly, well packed and went together quite quickly and certainly quicker than anticipated having read about this point in some reviews. Seems really well built and have used in most days since its arrival.

Folding exercise bike came straight away. A friend put the parts together. He said instructions were very easy to follow.
The bike is very stable and comfortable to ride.

Easy ordering. Helpful customer services. Good experience with delivery company, although couldn’t find a tracking number they kept me informed. Putting the bike together was ok - needed two of us for the computer/wiring bit but rest was as per easy to follow instructions. Used it a couple of times and very pleased so far.

Very helpful communication to check dimensions prior to purchase. Machine works well and meets expectations. There was only one slight problem: the AAA batteries supplied seemed to be at the end of their useful life and had to be replaced.

This is a second review of the Roger Black Gold Exercise Bike. The first was for customer service (five stars; excellent): this four-star review is for the bike itself.
My wife and I had great difficulty assembling this product. This was partly our fault: we should have read through ALL the assembly instructions before starting (as the instructions advise). This would have helped us at the half-way stage when we could not understand how to proceed, part-dismantled the product to check, and then rang Customer Service (who sorted it out our problem very efficiently by telephone).
The bike is heavy and we found it best to assemble it where we intended to use it.
We have not yet managed to engage the handle controlling the saddle height into the circular hole intended. Despite using WD40, we could not make the handle engage properly: the clearance is very tight. We are relying on friction on the dome head. We also found the pedal straps very difficult to fit.
At the moment, my wife uses the bike regularly for exercise at the basic (default) setting. She does not use the computer. She has been using it for over a fortnight.
The bike is very solidly made and is very stable. It is heavy (27 kg plus). We are pleased with the bike but, on reflection, we might have done better to choose the entry-level (folding bike) version since we do not use the Gold Star bike's advanced features.
Users should be aware that it would be very difficult to assemble the machine single-handed.

The bike was pretty easy to couple and pedaling is much smoother than similar bikes I have used before. It is compact and easy to handle as well requires minimal space for setup.

It is smooth running, the data screen works and we amateurs put it together.

The exercise bike arrived on time , complete and in perfect condition. Assembly was easy , not sure why some find it difficult. It was a Xmas present so not really used yet but all seems to be in good working order. My wife was delighted with the present

Following my purchase of an exercise bike from RB, which I was entirely satisfied with, I decided to purchase the Gold Rowing Machine. The first rower delivered was faulty, only discovered at the end of the build and with an instruction manual for a Cross Trainer in German!

The second rower, all ok, again until the end of the build. On pulling the handle, there was a loud metallic sound coming from the main housing (which should have been silent). After contacting the dealer via email, I was offered a replacement, repair or refund.
I opted for a replacement, which, has performed ok.

Roger Black obviously has a problem with quality control at the manufacturer (China), and needs to address this problem. The time wasted in building three rowers is unacceptable, there has been no offer of compensation or apology for the inconvenience caused by the faulty machines. This should be dealt with if this company is to succeed in giving customer satisfaction!

We ordered the gold exercise bike but kept being told by Arrow that they were delivering a cross trainer! After 4 phone calls - 2 each to Roger Black Fitness and Arrow - it turns out to be a glitch on Arrow’s computer system that RBF had known about for a week or so but hadn’t made sure Arrow had rectified. Cost us time and stress. The bike hasn’t been assembled yet but looks good.

I'm really unhappy with the build quality. I treated my self to the Roger black gold exercise bike . The bike developed a fault so I was sent a replacement . But the replacement bike has now developed a fault .A very loud click/ bang noise on every rotation,my wife can hear it in the next room .I purchased a Roger black exercise bike from Argos 4-5 years ago and that was durable and lasted a long time.

Quick and easy to purchase through the Roger Black Fitness website. My item arrived pretty quickly and in good condition.

When I finally got some help to put my exercise bike together I am pleased with it.It's light & easy to fold away & reasonably priced

Excellent service with delivery and responses when contacting the company about my problem with an assembly issue. This was resolved quickly following a call back from Roger Black himself!
