The men who delivered our furniture were courteous and helpful, but they arrived 13+ hours before the scheduled delivery time slot of 7-10am on 12 March. Yes, before 18.00 on 11th March. We were in shock. Perhaps we should have said 'no, come back in 13 hours'. Four pieces of furniture were delivered for one room, including sofas and a sofa-bed. The only way to make space was to move the old furniture out of doors. This is due to be collected today by the British Heart Foundation. The delivery men wrapped the old furniture in the heavy duty plastic from the new furniture but we are in the Lake District and it has been a wet and stormy night. The plastic has blown off and very good quality furniture is now soaking wet. I fear BHF may not take the furniture when they arrive. Arriving 13-16 hours before schedule is unacceptable and has caused us a problem (likely to be an expensive and already a very stressful one) to make alternative arrangements at short notice for furniture removal. It is also potentially creating waste for landfill that could have been reused and also raised substantial money for an important charity. The email states that the delivery was on 12 March, but it was actually on 11th March, arrival at house before 18.00. As it was dark by the time the furniture was moved (out and in), and the furniture was in a very narrow passage way, I was unable to access it to secure the plastic. Disastrous and stressful.

I have just had a delivery of a sofabed. Not only were the drivers on time, informed me of when they were going to arrive but their professionalism in ensuring that my home or
sofabed wasn’t damaged was exemplary. Measurements and planning to take upstairs and then showing me how to use the product were great too. Please thank Elvis and Kenton personally for the care they took. Also the office for making sure it was delivered in the time I requested and informing me. All round a great experience.

To be fair, they waited five minutes for me to get dressed and were otherwise professional. But I wouldn't wish a 6:30 a.m. delivery on anyone, especially if you don't have to get up early.

Quick and efficient delivery service
Route 1 contacted me the night before to check if convenient for the delivery of my sofa and also the following morning giving the time of the delivery which arrived on time. The two delivery men were courteous and helpful and took great care when trying to get the sofa through the back door which was a bit tight! Very pleased with the quick and efficient delivery service Group 1 provided.

Delivery was 1 hour early which drivers didn't seem to know, so wonder what the communication between them and admin are. Its a shame this company don't offer a recycle of old furniture service as it indicates this might be an option on emails. However, the 2 delivery workers more than made up for these negatives and were excellent. It was clear they were trying their best not to damage my walls/doors getting x2 very heavy and large items to my upstairs room of choice. They delivered them, unpacked them and put them exactly where I asked. Took all the packaging as expected. I couldn't be happier with the items and delivery. These workers worked extremely hard and I hope their salary demonstrates value to them for that. As a customer I am very pleased with their service and would use again. Thank you!
