Very rewarding

Completing the Level 3 Diploma in Nursing Assistant with Royal Open College has been a valuable learning experience. The training has helped me build on my care experience, strengthen my understanding of nursing assistant responsibilities and recognise the importance of safe, compassionate and person-centred care.

It has also encouraged me to reflect on my practice, communicate effectively and work within my competence while supporting patients and colleagues. I am pleased to have completed the course and look forward to applying my learning in my continued professional development.

Brilliant modules. And great experience.

The online system does not have a simple explanation for what has to be completed, for example it wasn't obvious that i have to complete a 1000-3000 exam afterwards and i went through the support email, who said they advised of this, but actually didn't. The programme kept skipping to order certificate whihc is why i thought i had completed it for a couple of weeks.

A challenge but good teaching.

Really easy course to follow.. no pressure to complete when you start. Flexibility as a mum is what’s important to me. I enjoyed the course and look forward to doing more

I would say the content is *okay*. It is factually correct as far as I can tell (Safeguarding Level 4) but no up to date teaching and learning techniques included. This results in a very dry teaching method (listen and read the slides) which does little to engage. The ordering of the sections is odd - it switches from children to adult focus and back again, not sure why. Worst is that the voices are AI, which leads to incorrect pronunciation as well as disengages the listener fast. There were typos I found on multiple slides. This was disappointing and reduced my trust in the course.

For the price of 12 pounds it is okay, I wouldn't want to pay more. If I was looking to appoint a candidate with this qualification on their CV I wouldn't give it a huge amount of weight.

Where are the case studies? Stories? Engaging ideas to get the learner thinking? Assessments/quizzes so you know if you have retained the information? There is a lot that would improve this.

I contacted customer services via email and had no reply when I had a query (I resolved it myself).

Course in Social Care Management level 5 is absolutely brilliant , very informative , short lessons of 10/15 mins which provide the gist of the topic . I would recommend as excellent starting point in the field , but its lacking practical and care field practices also topics in Duty of care and responsibilities of care manager are not fully covered . I would advice to get a real person with experience in the field to review and upgrade the course information . Its absolutely vital for Level 5 to teach practical strategies how to manage HCA and implement policies for person centered care . Thanks for the course

I recently completed the Ultimate Transcription and Captioning course through Royal Open College and I am delighted with the experience. From start to finish, the learning experience was engaging, informative and enjoyable. The modules were clear, practical, and perfectly paced.
