A dark Rubio Monocoat oil finish was used on the wooden floor in our rented flat. Unfortunately, we noticed that whenever the floor gets slightly wet during normal cleaning (for example wiping up saliva or food with a damp paper towel), color transfers onto the paper. This suggests that the pigment is coming off the surface, which is concerning.

To be fair, Rubio Monocoat customer support was very friendly, responsive, and tried to help clarify the situation. They provided safety information and explained that the product is saliva and sweat tested and should not behave like this. According to them, such fading can happen if the oil was not applied correctly.

However, the reality in our home is that the floor still releases color when cleaned with a small amount of water. With small children in the house—one of them still crawling and putting hands in the mouth—this makes us uncomfortable.

Customer support was good, but based on our experience the result is not ideal for households with babies or toddlers.

Pathetic customer service service . Impossible to get hold of them . That the reason I avoid not to place any order with them unless customer wants it .

Customer services are a let down.. always 'computer says no'

Die Firma stellt ohne Zweifel hervorragende Produkte dar. Das Problem ist diese zu erhalten. Leider ist der Service eine Katastrophe. die Hälfte der Lieferung hat gefehlt. Die Nachweise muss ich als Kunde selbst erbringen. Die Kommunikation per E-Mail funktioniert leider nur unzureichend. Ich habe meine Produkte trotz Vorauszahlung auch nach 2 Wochen nicht erhalten.

Extremely poor customer service. Just confirmed my order to realise the basket updated and didn't contain one of my items, emailed straight away to ask for item to be added on, was told this wasn't possible. I replied again straight away asking for the order to be cancelled, apparently it had all been shipped within such a small time frame.

Received a damaged sample order, which was unusable. Extremely poor customer service. 1 phone call and 3 emails and no response. When they did get back in touch they asked for photos FFS!? This was for a bubble wrap package swilling with the contents of burst sample sachets which I obviously just had to chuck straight in the bin as it was spilling all over my hands. Absolutely outrageous.

Amazing company supplying quality coating, we use this on equipment I make for disabled children, great finished and saves me so much time

Missing items from my order and customer service has been poor in responding let alone resolving the issue. I mean just send me the missing items or refund me already??

Went back to buy more but although website said free postage it was charging.

Contacted and was told have to spend set amount (no info found on website) when said didn’t get charged last time told it was an offer again not indicated on website. Ask for it to be made clear on website and that it was disappointing lack of transparency.

This was ignored and sadly the whole attitude of this coms put me off.

Looking at different product for rest of project.
Was looking to use for my new fence but I like consistent customer service and the coms on last was really not the same as initial.

Super quick delivery and the products are the best I have used. Makes staining wood simple and mess free with a high end finish. Won’t be going anywhere else for stains from now on.

Excellent product for cleaning floors

This is an amazing product, using oil plus 2c saved me so much time, not having to sand between coats of varnish is a game changer.
They even do training days which is well worth the time
