Submitted verification twice—withdrawal canceled anyway
I requested a redemption from RubyChips and was asked to complete additional payment verification. I explained that my purchase was made through Apple Pay and that my physical Apple Card does not display my name or card number.
On August 1, I submitted transaction screenshots, identification documentation, a complete Apple Card statement, and additional proof showing the purchase. RubyChips’ own email history displays the attachments, yet I received repeated template responses stating that they “couldn’t locate” the requested information.
I specifically asked them to identify exactly what was missing or provide another way to upload the documents. They never answered that question. Instead, they canceled my withdrawal on August 3 and claimed I had failed to complete verification within 48 hours, even though the documents were submitted during that period.
After I submitted another withdrawal request, I was told to use a previous debit card or add a new bank-issued debit card and make another deposit. I should not have to deposit additional money because their team failed to meaningfully review the documentation already provided.
I have requested escalation to a compliance manager, manual review of the attachments, and a precise written explanation of what information is allegedly missing.
Until RubyChips provides a substantive response and processes the redemption, I cannot recommend depositing money here.

Thank you for responding, but this public explanation directly contradicts what your support team told me in writing.
In your latest email, RubyChips stated:
“If the card is physical, there is no need to make a purchase from it for successful redeem, we apologize for the mistake.”
Your Trustpilot response now says the opposite—that I must make a purchase with the debit card before it can be used for redemption.
This inconsistency is the core problem. I have received multiple conflicting requirements from different representatives, along with repeated template responses that did not address the documentation already submitted.
I have already provided:
- Identity verification
- Front and back photos of the debit card
- A selfie holding the card
- Account documentation confirming ownership
- Verification for multiple other payment methods
The debit card is listed on my RubyChips account and was offered as a redemption option. If RubyChips requires every redemption card to first be used for a purchase, please identify the exact published policy that says so and explain why your support team told me the opposite.
I am not willing to make an additional purchase simply to access funds already eligible for redemption.

We have checked with our compliance team and want to explain the situation transparently. The card you are requesting to cashout to has not been previously used or registered in our system. Unfortunately our compliance policy requires that withdrawals are processed to a verified payment method that has been used for purchases on the platform - this is a standard security requirement to confirm ownership and prevent unauthorized transactions.
To move forward you have two options - you can either submit additional documentation confirming ownership of the new card and make a purchase with it to verify it in our system, or alternatively process the cashout to the card originally used for your purchase which is already verified on our end. 👑
We understand this is not the answer you were hoping for and we are genuinely sorry for the confusion and lack of clear communication from our team throughout this process - that is something we are addressing internally.
