Ordered on the 29th of September and I still have not received the book I ordered.

Service was fine, i.e. ordering my item and delivery was good.

However, I was disappointed that the book I received did not have the same picture on the front cover as was shown on the description. I particularly wanted the cover that was shown as it would match the other books I own in this set.

Happy to give 5 stars to a company that helps with any issues. Had a email today giving postage details and when to expect delivery with tracking advice.
Well done for coming back to me so quickly.

Found theses books for my 2 granddaughters 1st birthday they love the book and there name on every page makes it more personalised will buy again

Ordered a book but did not arrive (lost by Royal Mail). Great communication throughout and no problem in giving me a refund. Helpful and honest vendor throughout.

No complaints, excellent prices, discount for bulk buying. Books came relatively quickly well packaged. Can't really complain.

Looking for a book for my niece and after several searches I came across this website, found the right book, great price. Delivery on time. I would definitely buy books from this supplier and great customer services too.

Having lost my 18 nth old grandson’s favourite book I scoured the internet to find a replacement and Ryefield Books was the only supplier with it in stock.
It was a tiny purchase but the service was exceptional when Royal Mail managed to delay delivery by a fortnight; I felt that Ryefield actually cared.

Still pinching myself, books were very reasonably priced and in great condition.
I will return

Having attended a talk by the author I very much wanted to read two of his books . These I found second hand very quickly and ordered them. They both arrived in great condition, without my paying postage and I would definitely recommend ryefield books.com as the experience was seamless and very satisfactory and I would definitely use them again.

I ordered from Ryefield Books online but made a typo in my email address which I only realised once I'd submitted my order.

I emailed them straightaway to advise and ask them to amend the email address so I could get updates etc. Not only did I get a quick response to confirm this had been done, I also got personal updates from their Customer Experience Manager Denise regarding when the order had been dispatched along with timescales for it to arrive.

Customers need to feel they are important and by replying to a query as to the whereabouts of my package and assuring me all was in hand, helped ... good customer service and PR. However it would be good to have an expected delivery date on the form at the start of the purchase process. I needd my package urgently but had no idea when it might arrive. Other than that the service was good.

Original review- I have purchased a book, but there has been no communication at all; no order confirmation, or dispatch notice a week after the money was paid via PayPal, Invoice ID 8758. Unhelpfully, their website has no info on dispatch or delivery times.

Update 3 Sept - I received the following email stating that the book had been posted, however the lable on the envelope shows it was sent the day after the email was sent so nothing to do with Royal Mail delays or the bank holiday. It was was posted 24 hr tracked and has arrived. I have still not had a receipt though.

Re: Communication for dispatch and delivery times

We are presently in the phase of implementing all these features on the website and when we receive an order so that everything is fully automated. There are still lots of works to be done.

If possible, we'll be very grateful if you could remove or upgrade the negative feedback when you receive your book.

I can find all the books I want in their original language. Service is just right.

Very pleased with my dealings with this company. I have had a lot of delivery issues recently with other online sellers and especially DPD delivery as we seem to live in a hard to reach location, but when I messaged them to check that my item had dispatched I got a prompt and accurate response. Item arrived as expected via Royal mail tracked 48 and in good condition. I was just thrown by lack of a dispatched email and tracking. However on balance it was pleasant not to get so many emails for one small order.

I bought some te neues journals which are hard to find so was delighted to find them here- and at a great price too. Great communication- very personable. A good bookshop discovery.

Very happy with the service I received from Ryefield books. There was an issue with one of the books which they resolved effectively and promptly. Communication was very good. I’ve not rated them higher due to two minor quibbles. 1) The lack of tracking info for my order. It would have been nice to receive an email confirming when it had been shipped with tracking information instead of needing to login and only having confirmation that it had been shipped. 2) The lack of filters on the website’s search function. For example I can select “fiction and related items” which produces 3804 results but I cannot filter this any further to view sub-categories such as Classics or Sci-fi & Fantasy, which makes browsing challenging. A work around is to select a specific book, which then gives the links for subcategories this book can be found under however they don’t always make sense to identify similar items (I.e. Dracula by Bram Stoker has a sub category of “biographical / autobiographical fiction”). I found it easier to browse on other websites for books and look for specific titles on Ryefield to establish if they were cheaper. Overall a good buying experience but the browsing capability could have been better.

I’m giving 4 stars as there was a slight delay between ordering and receiving my books - if they had arrived on time it would have been 5 star. Having said that Ryefield have been great from the moment I contacted them to find out what happened to my order (the delay was with Royal Mail) - they were active in finding out what happened once my order had left them and kept me informed every step of the way - excellent customer service and will definitely be using Ryefield again!
