Having seen an item I wanted to buy in bulk urgently, I confirmed my order and waited for the delivery, only for an email on the delivery date saying "we do not have it in stock. If you want to cancel the order, please call customer services". Having already wasted my time and days waiting for delivery, the email couldn't even add a small line telling me which number to call for refund! How difficult is it to be informative and helpful? Why not call the customer and tell them about this?
Surely, the worst possible thing is to inaccurately display on your website when buying that stock is available and then not even make proper amends to the customer, making only a half-hearted attempted like you couldn't be bothered to address the customer's disappointment. I needed the boxes urgently for some storage issues and expected it on delivery date. Your inaccurate website and supply/chain, inventory data is leading to customer disappointment.

I needed an Amazon return label printed and went to Rymans in Fitzroy Street and I have to compliment the staff, particularly the young man with infinite patience who sorted out my problem. This is not the first time the staff at this branch have provided excellent service. Thank you.

Lack of knowledge and wickedness= Bad service
I went to Wimbledon branch (The Broadway) to print some Power Point slides with the notes at the bottom of them.
The sales assistant working in there (Mandy) was not helpful at all. She said that it was not possible to print the notes under the slides and tried to finish my request quickly.
I did at University, so I knew it that was possible to print them but I didn't remember how. So, I went away from the shop and try to remember how to do it by myself.
Then, I came back again to the shop, asking again for the service. This time a guy, which name is Craish, helped me. I was explaining to him the setting options available to print. And this woman (Mandy) came next to him and say "I have already mention to her that is not possible to do it". So, at that point (after my explanation) the guy showed her how to do it. She stayed in silence and look at me very badly. She did not apologise at any time. She did not say 'Sorry'. Her behaviour was really a shame. That lady is a synonym of lack of professionalism.
I hope that, next time, she will be nicer because I am a regular customer of Rymans Wimbledon and she will se my face again.

Astounding customer service from Anna, store manager - Camden high street branch. She was incredibly helpful with my enquiry about a squishmallow that my daughter desperately wanted. She checked the stock position and clearly explained when I could check back. After speaking with her on the phone she proactively rang over stores to allocate the item, rang me back to let me know she found the item and had it transferred to our local Camden branch. Just picked it up from a friendly and helpful member of staff jihad. Thank you to Anna for her excellent customer service and going the extra mile for us. My daughter is so happy with her new squishmallow. Thank you

Wrong item/Delivered late
I made a purchase on the cricut maker machine website that I use for my job. Today I received a PC gaming chair, I contacted the chat and I will only receive my product next Tuesday 01/03/2023 I have to wait almost another week to have my product correctly. In that time I already lost work and also lost clients, I have work to be delivered this weekend. Remembering that it was the store's mistake, I never bought a chair, but a machine that I use for my work. I want to know what the Ryman store is going to do about the customers and money I've lost in that time.
Don't buy any thing other than stationary from Rymans!
I ordered a tv unit from Rymans and needless to say it was a horrendous experience. The order was shipped from their supplier (Dorels home Furniture). On Rymans website it claimed 2-4 working days but i ended up receiving it a week later than the expected delivery date.
I had to constantly chase Rymans to ask what the progress was as i didn't receive any tracking information. I couldn't track the order properly and their partner/supplier were unavailable by phone so they had to email which then extended the wait time. Once they heard, they still didn't provide tracking and Rymans didn't even bother chasing a tracking link/ref. They said: "our suppliers claim it was sent" and thats it.
I understand that certain factors may have impacted deliveries however it would be best if you set those expectation on your website.
Well I won't be buying from here again. Lesson learnt, either go amazon or elsewhere.

Rymans took cash out of my account without permission, and have told me to sort it out with my bank. Then when I left a review on this site they replied with the same blather. Strangely, I can’t find the original review…
Really friendly and so helpful
The lady staff member at the Rymans store in Kendal was so helpful. Following my enquiry for the Bananagrams game she not only searched for it in the store but when it could not be found on the shelves she then went on to find it online and have it delivered to the store free of charge. My son picked it up today and I just wanted to say what a friendly and helpful member of staff she is - I am sorry I do not know her name but based on her excellent customer service I would definitely shop at Rymans in Kendal again.

I lost my draft review as I had to come off site to deal with other business . But here goes again. The Staff,esp. Sharon AND Vicki were extremely helpful,courteous,cheery and knowledgeable during my visit to use the DHL facility there at the store in St George's Centre. Preston. Lancs.
I always go here to send goods this way,because in my experience I know with confidence that I am going to get their excellent help and its all with a cheerful attitude and you feel that your custom matters and that they take pride in the task in hand ,doing it absolutely conscientiously and carefully. In fact their attitude is the same throughout their daily duties within the store. I will admit that whatever service I receive whether it be in retail or from any other official capacity or business I would be the first to complain,But by the same token if I get excellent service then I will always acknowledge it and write a positive and truthful review,just as I have now. Rymans your Staff at this branch are 2nd to none they do your Company proud! That is why I use your store. All the other staff I found to be so also but I usually find the above mentioned ladies to be on duty when I visit the store.

No wonder Amazon is making more and more stores like this obsolete.
Sold me a poor designed product and according to their chatbot expects me to pay £30 for the return of it based on the weight. (about half the item). BTW Ryman, I can get this shipped back to you for less than £6.
Messaged Customer Services to sort the return over a week ago and still waiting.

What does let them down from really good service is their use of Fedex.

Poor tracking, can't be bothered to ring the doorbell, don't follow instructions.
I'll be wary of using Rymans again for this reason alone.
