Warning: Poor Shipping & Non-Existent Support!

I ordered a cart over two weeks ago and it still hasn't arrived because the seller botched my shipping address. Despite this being their error, they ignored my request for an immediate replacement and waited for the original package to return to their warehouse.

Communication has been incredibly frustrating. They now claim a replacement has been "requested," yet they refuse to confirm if it has actually shipped or provide a clear delivery date. It feels like they aren't even reading my messages. This has been a complete waste of time and I strongly advise avoiding this seller.

More hassle then it’s worth

In the past, I purchased from Safavieh and was satisfied. The quality was not high-end, but the pieces always looked nice. Recently, I saw two nightstands on their website that looked beautiful and thought, “How bad could they be?” so I ordered them.
When they arrived, one nightstand was severely damaged on the inside and was actually missing an entire panel. The second one had dings on one of the panels, which unfortunately was the top of the nightstand—noticeable, and definitely not perfect. I hired a handyman to assemble them. After he finished the first one and started on the second, he realized a full panel was missing.
I contacted Safavieh , which you can only do by email, and then you have to wait for them to get back to you. Their solution was to send me two new nightstands, which I would have to assemble again—meaning I would need to hire the handyman a second time, pay him to disassemble the first one and the partially assembled second one, and then assemble the replacements. Since he charges by the hour, my “$300” nightstands are now effectively costing me closer to $600. On top of that, the company expects me to take the defective ones to FedEx to return them.
Given the poor product condition, the inconvenience, and the extra cost, this entire process feels completely unreasonable and not worth the hassle.

RUG RUINED

I bought a rug few four months ago but now it's completely ruined and it's loosing its fringes. It is a nice article but isn’t well manufactured cause every day I find many fringes on the floor. I think that ,in two or three months, nothing will remain of it! :-S It’s a pity and a loss of money! :-S

I bought an umbrella that arrived with…manufacturer defect

I bought an umbrella that arrived with obvious manufacturing defect. It could not be used because the metal was bent to you couldn't put the pieces together. I needed this umbrella for an event. They gave me the option of a 25% discount or I could package up the item and ship back to them. They let me know they were out of stock of the item.I had my handyman over so he took a sander and hammer and was able to somewhat fix. The only problem is the protective rubber is compromised so it will most likely rust after it gets rained on. I'm so disappointed in their options. I asked for 50% off the price but they would rather pay for a very heavy item to be shipped back than to make a customer happy. Never ordering from this company, BEWARE!

Purchased a large colorful braided rug…

Purchased a large colorful braided rug off Amazon in February and by March it was in shreds because of defective stitching. It was in a room seldom used and since the 30 days was up they labeled their terrible rip off as “ excessive wear” 🤦🏻‍♀️ Zero customer service, very disappointing. Save your hundreds and buy from a company that stands behind their products.

The quality

The quality, color texture of the rug I ordered were as advertised, BUT it was not an 8 foot rug at all! Even though the package indicated the rug was 8 feet, the actual dimension of the rug is 7 feet, 6 inches! I'm very disappointed because it will not anchor properly under the furniture in the living room and will have to now be returned to Home Depot. Not sure why rug was cut short. Money saving?

Poor quality and bad customer support

Poor quality and unwilling to make it right when the product was used less than 5 months and a foot rest snapped off along the grain line. Unexctible quality and customer service. Would not recommend to anyone.

Two items from Safavieh for…

I purchased two items from Safavieh for a client. Upon delivery the client was disappointed that the finish on the items was dull and not what published photos showed. Immediately, I reached out to the company and was assured that this would be a week or so process to facilitate the return. Almost nine weeks later, and after repeated emails and conversations we were told that they would NOT accept a return. Just Try to find their clearly defined return policy anywhere on their site. Not so easy to find and most assuredly not so clear. This was an expensive and time consuming process and loss for our company. These two John Richard egret figurines were nearly $600 a piece and are now a lack luster part of our inventory.

BEWARE

BEWARE: Who expects their customers to pay $70 return shipping on a $140 order? Safavieh does. This detail of their return policy is not clear or easy to find.

After 13 emails from me to them with maybe 5 responses and multiple phone calls I was told they would give me a $25 concession. They wouldn’t even send me a label. I have to do it.

Make sure you are ok paying for shipping yourself if you want to return your purchase!

Purchased a Safavieh rug from Walmart size 5ft 3 inches x 7 feet 6 inches according to the Walmart website and the size that was received was 5 feet 2 inches x 7 feet (even the label under the rug had 5 ft 3 x 7 ft 6 inches) I called Safavieh customer support and advised them of the variation of the rug size and asked if this was just an issue with the one rug. Sent pictures etc. and have heard nothing. It is very disappointing that I had not received any feedback. Wanted to post this so customers are aware they are not getting what they pay for. Thanks

They use false advertising and mislead…

They use false advertising and mislead costumers! They have on their website this price matching promise on all their articles, but they won’t honor it. Not only they wasted my time by asking me to send a detailed email with all the screenshots of the same article sold by the other website, any coupons used, and the final page with the taxes and the delivery fees, and the guy over the phone promised that someone would get back to me in 24 h. A day later, no news heard, so I called back and the guy tells me that they sent the request to their evaluation team and that someone would get back to me at the latest the very next day. Again I don’t hear back from them, so I call and this time, the guy tells me that they don’t price match to competitors!!!!! What does price match means if you are not price matching to competitors. He said we only price match to our dealers. Was that written on their website? Not at all. They are misleading costumers to believing they are getting the best price out there. If you are good at searching with images you would find the better price. I sent them an email via their chat page asking about their price match policy about a few days ago, I still didn’t get an answer.

Braided carpet comes apart

I bought a 6 x 9 foot braided carpet from Safavieh, item BRD173A-6, and while I quite like the appearance of the carpet, I am very dissatisfied with the wear of the carpet after few months of use in a den with very little foot traffic. There are threads popping up and fuzzy material balling on the top that makes the carpet look as if it has dust balls throughout. I wrote to the company and was told that what they called "pulls and sprouting" was "normal" for a hand woven carpet. Among their suggestions was to push the fiber back into the carpet and glue it, or to take the carpet to a carpet restorer. Imagine having to glue the threads down of few month old carpet or have to take it for restoration. I have another braided carpet over 30 years old and it is in better condition than this new one from Safavieh. If their carpets are so delicate, they should be sold as wall hangings not for use under foot.

Safavieh doesn’t stand behind what they make!

We purchased a Safavieh lamp set. The box was still sealed from the manufacturer (Safavieh) and we were the first to open it. There were two pieces missing that hold the lamp shade. I wrote to Safavieh and they replied that there is nothing they will do for me. So sorry! They stated that they are the manufacturer of the product and not the retailer so they are not responsible for what they produce.

I highly recommend not purchasing anything from a manufacturer that will not stand behind what they make. Please think twice or maybe three times before purchasing anything made by Safavieh.

worse experience ever

worse experience ever ! after spending $ 25k at this store. Neil the manager messed up my order and he promised me to exchange it for me after 6 months of waiting simply he said no we can not do it , i have all our conversation in the text. very disappointed at the service. my first and last purchase from Safavieh.

Rug was trash and they didn't care

I purchased a rug from them that came falling apart, shredding already, tassels on the ends weren't even the same lengths, tiny holes, and already unraveling when I took out of package. Inquired about a return. Took them two weeks to respond and then told me that is how the rug is suppose to be. No information on how to return the rug, no offer on money back, no offer to send a new and not defective one either. Their products suck and so does their customer service.

Poor Quality!

Purchased a set of drawers recently.
It was advertised as cream but looks more like white. The quality is very poor - drawers not made well and you struggle to close them, even the basket drawers are really hard to open and close as they've no wooden base under them.
My husbands a joiner so you can imagine his reaction.
I've changed the handles too as they looked really cheap.
Would have returned, but they took ages to arrive.

I purchased two rugs manufactured by…

I purchased two rugs manufactured by Safavieh. One lasted 6 months, one lasted 9 months. We are very careful users and typically rugs last us DECADES. I reached out to Safavieh about the first rug, however they said they only guarantee their products for 30 days. Our money was not refunded, our rugs were not repaired. I can not throw my money like this and I will never again buy another Safavieh product.
