Great Scraping & Proxy Service with Phenomenal Support! Swim with the Sharks!
I'm not sure how I found out about ScrapeShark, but I'm so glad that I did! I've used at least a dozen services similar to ScrapeShark, but only stuck with one until I found ScrapeShark. Honestly, the thing that first caught my attention was their website. I know it's cliché, but it stood out because it didn't have a distracting design and crazy pricing. To me, it was clear they were targeting customers that are more technical, such as myself. That said, I bookmarked their site and continued on until I received an email from one of the creators, Martijn, and he is simply amazing. He has been open to feedback and even implemented some of my suggestions in an insanely short amount of time. His first email to me wasn't a templated, salesy email... he was inquisitive and constantly asked what could be done to make ScrapeShark better, while maintaining an affordable service that's extremely competitive pricing wise.
So, the people behind the product are awesome. What about the actual product?
Well, it's DEAD SIMPLE to use and I was able to pretty much replace the service I was using before with ScrapeShark with little hassle.
One thing that made them standout, thanks to Martijn's quick development, is their ability to handle RSS feeds appropriately. In my use case, I needed to use their service in a RSS feed reader so the content type that was returned needed to by RSS/XML, not HTML. Within a few days of me mentioning this issue Martijn went to work and now to change the return content type is as easy as adding a query string parameter.
So, long story short, if you're looking for an incredible scraping, proxy, etc service that has phenomenal customer service and wicked good pricing, ScrapeShark is worth investigating and, if you find something that you need, reach out to them and they'll be happy to work with you.
