I cannot comment on the fish quality as my order was never delivered (goods perished in DPD warehouse - the tracking history verified this). Despite the evidence -obtaining a refund from Seafooddirect.co.uk was a stressful process and in the end my credit card company intervened. They ignore emails, the supplied mobile from their help chat always went to voice mail – essentially, they did not want to deal with problems.

For my Mums birthday I bought a raw lobster and 600g of black tiger prawn, free of charge they added 12 scallops I cannot rate these guys enough the food is amazing and the delivery is so good aswell with the food arriving freezing thanks to all the insulation.

Superb seafood. Purchased crayfish tails which were fresh & juicy. Lobster tails were delicious in a seafood boil. Will definitely be purchasing more products from this company.

I’ve been buying from this company for a few years now. I can recommend all my purchases- scampi, plaice filletts white bait, scallops.products bought here taste so much better than others and everything comes well packed. It’s worth paying a bit more for the amazing taste.

Seafood Direct are super company our local supermarket closed their fish counter. I was disappointed so searched out this company online. We were thrilled with our order the freshness in the fish etc is definitely there. Their crab is amazing something we find hard to source even though we are in a seaport area. If you use Seafood Direct you won’t be disappointed.

I ordered two sides of smoked salmon at short notice. It was delivered on time, packed very well, and tasted delicious. I was happy with the product and service and will order from them again in the future.

I can’t fault the quality or service in anyway. A cost effective way of buying good seafood and fish. The website and payment was harmless and delivery with DPD in a flash! I recommend seafood direct

Ordered 2 lobsters and mussels for Valentine’s Day. What an absolute waste of money! The lobsters were 500g -550g and we got 30grams of meat total out the two of them. Terrible quality! The mussels were smashed to bits. 90% of them had broken shells and we didn’t dare cook any of them. Total cost was £53! Please please avoid!

Ordered food to be eaten on Christmas Day. The order arrived 24 hours late. Everything had defrosted. I could see the quality was poor and portions were meagre. It all had to be thrown away. I shall never use this company again. The only positive is that they have agreed to give me a full refund.

My first order and I'm very impressed with the quality of the produce and the customer service. Within minutes of placing my order I received a welcome email from Dave, the founder.

The seafood was very well packed and insulated on arrival.

There was one small issue with the order which I notified by email. Within a few minutes I had a call from Dave to sort it.

I shall definitely be ordering again.

They had a problem with their web site so I had to call them up. The person I spoke to was very helpful and sorted out my order. It turned out that they didn't quite have the stock (no smaller salmon sides), but a solution was sorted out over email very easily. Arrived on time in some very good packaging. Haven't tasted the product yet but very happy with the service and prices, especially with 15% off.

PLEASE AVOID !...Third rate quality..very overpriced..customer service is terrible..just ignore emails...They show fresh local seafood from Grimsby..what you get is in bags with other brands on them..same as you can get from supermarkets at half the price...Another online scam company !!!

Ordered seafood and delivery date was for tomorrow Friday 12th in time for a celebration dinner.
Received an email today Thursday 11 th saying my order was cancelled due to “unforeseen circumstances” no other explanation and most annoyingly not even an apology.
To add insult to injury received another e mail saying I was due a refund but it would take up to 10 days to receive
Emailed them No Answer. Dreadful customer service and how are they allowed to hold on to my money after cancelling my order ?

Dreadful shell on prawns. I have bought these for many years from other suppliers but thought I would try this company that I came across by chance. I ordered the above and they were very small, yellow in colour when they should be plump and pink. These were undersized and saturated with water.Looked and tasted as if they had been frozen over and over again. Really quite disgusting. Will never order from them again.

The fresh fish is fine but not impressed with the haddock coated in batter. It's quite tasteless and soggy .
