I have heard really good things about Seriously Fun. They have a great ethos and seem very organised and efficient. As they don’t offer taster lessons we just signed up. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out for my child because children are not allowed to wear goggles. We stopped the lessons after the first one but had to pay for a month. I think taster sessions would be a good idea to help children get used to the way it is structured.

In the baby class, kids wait by the side of the pool for half the class. Seems a waste of time and money. Smaller classes or more teachers would allow kids to swim the full 30 mins.
Kids are not taught to kick properly, just talked to from poolside in the older classes. No allowances made for classes missed for illness or injury or planned holidays. I feel I pay way more than what I get.

The lessons themselves are good, teachers are friendly and help your child learn to swim and gain more confidence in the water. Good progression from bands to shallow end to deep end of the pool.

On the administration and payment side, things are not so good:
- first payment is to cover the spot in the lessons, not for the lessons itself
- you will pay 12 months a year on a continuous program, even during summer and Christmas breaks where you may get 1 lesson in the month (Dec 2023 for example)
- Also beware for cancellations: if you cancel in the middle of the month, you lose all the remaining lessons, even though you have paid for the lessons in advance
- You have to cancel before the monthly direct debit comes out. In my case on the 26th, but by cancelling before the 26th I lost my lesson on the 29th

The admin team doesn't show any understanding of this fact, which is such a shame to end the lessons with them on such a disappointing note.

My Son loves classes but there is a boy who destroy every session. Other children are waiting and holding the wall … it is no fair as swimming lesson is only 30 minutes long. Teachers are Amazing but I think because it is the last session they are a bit “tired “ “frustrated “ ?

We have been with Seriously FUN swimming for two years now and it has been an incredible journey for my daughter. The classes are small, allowing for personalised attention from instructors who make lessons fun. The facilities are lovely and they have a range of good lessons times and days.

My daughter has enjoyed every lesson and has shown significant progress over the years. Highly recommend Seriously FUN swimming for anyone looking for a quality, fun swimming lessons.

When we started, there were 2 teachers dedicated for 5 students. Now it’s become 1:5 ratio and I feel that’s impacting the overall focus and output.

Absolutely amazing swim school. So friendly and welcoming. My daughter has made progress from the very first lesson. She Absolutely loves coming. Can't recommend them highly enough.

Lots of patience and encouragement with my nervous 12 year old. The teachers there are brilliant.

The lessons seem good - my daughter is enjoying them, seems to be getting some good technical instruction and she doesn’t spend any time hanging on the side while others take their turn. So that he made this swim school better than others we have tried. The parking is a bit of a pain but I’d rather have tricky parking for better lesson than east parking for rubbish lesson!

Great instructors really encouraging the children

I felt that the classes were good and run by a good team. However, I had a huge issue with the payment system. As they take advanced payments at the end of July and August and don't run any classes during this time. This is misleading and not right as it doesn't give parents an option of joining for a shorter time.
Perhaps the payment system should be reviewed.

Horrible management and their respect towards their member of staff is appalling. We still pay through the Hollidays yet their staff don’t get paid and they are self employed, from what I’ve seen and heard from other customers the majority of staff are teenagers who managers can bully and take advantage of

Friendly staff that made my son feel at ease. Highly recommend.

The instructors are efficient and fun with the kids. My son is enjoying his lessons. Even though it’s only 30 min he is learning a lot.

You will pay regardless if it school holidays, swimming pool is closed, your child is unable to attend If you try to cancel although you have paid for classes in advance you will not get a refund, nor will your child will also not be allowed to attend the class. Your consumer rights act 2015 gives you 14 days cooling off period for online purchase, serious Fun are in breach of your consumer rights by only giving you 7 days. My understanding of the law is that if you have paid for a service, it rightfully yours to enjoy regardless of any draconian term and conditions.
