10/10 express PSD course
I used the express PSD course to train our labradoodle. I was absolutely blown away by the support offered through out the training process. Before beginning the program all of my emails were answered promptly and thoroughly and even after certi they offered support with any questions I had. I would recommend this service for anyone who is looking to train their service animal.

Research, Sacrifice Time, and Execute
You can earn the credential's on-line, but it is up to the individual to know the laws put into place, because believe or not, everyone may not be up to speed or familiar with how to respond to a handler or service animal in public. Everyone may not have a physical disability. A person can look fine, but the opposite can be occurring mentally. A store owner or public vendor may refuse access to your service animal not knowing the legal protocol. If you live in the U.S.A. , please go over the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) so that you can educate people that may deny you and your service animal access to public service rather it be a restaurant or shopping center. There's many service animal impersonators, so if you're representing a trained service animal make sure you've actually put in the time and effort to comfortably travel with your service animal in public. If you the handler isn't able to control you pet whether it be aggressive barking towards others, not sitting when commanded, or relieving themselves without warning, that's just something you have to work on (not the end of the road). Me and my service animal has earned our Certificate of Completion for Intensive Psychiatric Service Dog Training and the Service Dog Trainer Program (WE ARE NOT EXPERTS BY ANY MEANS lol, but we've come a long way since 2021). Now, I've said all that to say this....I still get denied access to some public places with my service animal (there's a possibility it will happen if you go to enough places sooner or later, but this is why I said know the laws. I can only inform personnel in the U.S.A. , so please do not attempt to cross reference the following info outside of the U.S.A.
A state / local government facility can verify your service animal with 2 questions.
1. Is the service animal required because of a disability? Yes
2. What work or task has the service animal been trained to perform? Note: Combat Veterans, you do not have to state the acronym associated with your disability (You have anxiety, panic attacks, and night terrors. Don't ask me how I know.)
the state / local government facility is NOT allowed to:
Request any documentation that the dog is registered, licensed, or certified as a service animal.
Require that the service dog demonstrate its task, or inquire about the nature of a person's disability.
(This information is public at ADA.gov / The U.S. Department of Justice Civil Rights Division)
Service animals are not required to wear vests (a vest doesn't make a service animal a service animal... training does). It doesn't take long to know if a service animal is trained or not. If a handler can not control its furry friend, they can and probably will be asked to leave by law. If you've had enough patience to read this post, please use the same patience and time to train your pet properly (even after earning the certificates).

The intensive service dog training course was great! Very educational, easy to move through the modules and super helpful in training my dog. Our tutor graded our work very quickly and provided great feedback. After completing the course I feel comfortable bringing my service dog into public areas with confidence she will behave appropriately.

The emotional support cat
The emotional support cat course was fun and easy to complete, helping to develop a positive relationship with my cat. The tutors are very knowledgeable and helpful.
Overall I found I was able to complete this course in less than a week.

Disappointing and not as advertised
I emailed the company asking in regards to the psychiatric service dog course. I have a very well trained dog of three years who I’m training to be a PSD. Wanted to learn tasks…they said that it would be a good fit and yes they went over the basics but that it was intensive and would be what we were looking for. Well fast forward to two days ago, I sign up. The course is pathetic. Going over the very very basics of owning a dog, and what’s a service dog, things that anyone would have googled prior to signing up for this. Only the last two lessons going over task training. But not in depth at all (and the lessons are about 10 minutes of reading, maybe with a short animated video showing word for word what’s in the lesson, no actual videos on training real dogs).
They only would give me a partial refund, and stated I would have known this prior about the syllabus. The customer service person I talked to was quite rude in wording actually. Very disappointed and dissatisfied. This would only be helpful to someone who has no prior training experience- even then I don’t think they would understand without proper videos.

My service dog and I really enjoyed doing the course. It was fun for both of us and it brought us closer during training. My trainier and staff answered my questions always, ever on weekend or evening! It was an excellent course , easy to use, assignments were clear, videos of my dogs were easy to do, grades were given in a day turn around for assignments, videos, and you could start the next lesson with your dogs. My trainer give me tip through out the course. I would recommend their course to anyone who wants to train their service dog!

Such a convenient and excellent option to train your medical service dog! With not many trainers willing to help me train my cockapoo puppy, Jane, for cardiac alerts, I had no hope for finding a way to train her at all. That was until my mom’s friend went through the program with her cockapoo and suggested that I do the same. After coming out, Jane has gone from a mischievous puppy to an obedient partner that I can rely on. I’ve also grown and become knowledgeable on how to train dogs myself through this process, which is a bonus! 10/10 recommend!

I was skeptical at first
I was skeptical at first, but after reviewing the lesson plan and then studying each of the chapters in succession, I was impressed with how the foundation and the steps in training were set up. My K9, Tilly, and I had an amazing time learning together. I believe it tightened out bound together. The quizzes, where straight forward and the ability to videotape our progress for each task required was fun and rewarding. I would highly recommend this to any individual wishing to take an active roll in training their K9 for service work.

High value courses, highly supportive crew
I am very grateful to Service Dog Training School International, I did both the Psychiatric service dog and Air Travel courses. I learned a lot about dogs, their motivations, what trainings work/dont work and why, how to make my dog understand what is expected of him, etc this didnt just increase our already big bond but also made us spend more quality time together, also now he is aware of different symptoms I undergo and will be able to identify them and provide different solutions. I became a diabetic in 2020
I became a diabetic in 2020, and trained our 2 year old dog to detect high and low blood sugars. It may have helped that she was already well trained with basic commands as a 6 month old, but she learned quickly and performed as expected. Finished course 2022. I have been on multiple long flights with her and the DOT has always approved her training. Of note - only one medical emergency but she reacted exactly as trained. Extremely grateful.

Best Online Service Dog Training School
After much research, this service dog training school looked the best. They offered an accelerated training course for dogs already trained as a Psychiatric Service Dog (PSD). I had an airline that wanted me to show more training. We finished the course in about a week. Marco and I had a delightful time doing the assignments. The trainer with whom we worked responded quickly to my submitted videos. She gave great ideas and a lot of encouragement. This may look expensive, but Servicedog Training School is the real thing. I highly recommended their services.
