Have blocked them from charging my card again, as it seems they have a habit of doing so, even after cancelling subscriptions.

Accessible information on interesting topics
Shortform is a great tool to easily access litterature and information in general on topics that affect society and human curiosity on a whole.
The summations are easily digestible and I really like how different perspectives from experts are shared on topics while you are reading. Having read books that are summarised Shortform captured the points I found important, but of course with such a big library of books and topics I can't vouch for the quality on everything.
The added comment sections and questions for reflection is also a nich touch to give you a tool to help retain the knowledge you read.

Won't Stop Charging Me and Won't Delete my Account
I canceled my subscription and deleted my account on January 24th. However, on January 26th, my account was unexpectedly restored, and my card was charged without my authorization. I contacted the company via email, and they offered a 50% refund along with the continuation of my subscription. Unsatisfied with this blatantly insulting resolution, I filed a chargeback with my bank. Based on my experience, I believe their billing practices are unethical and violate U.S. digital transaction regulations and consumer protection laws. I strongly advise against providing this company with your credit card information, as it seems nearly impossible to stop unauthorized charges or close your account.

Great product & Amazing customer care experience
I love Shortform as I need to be informed and knowleadgeable about the last books in my field. Also, the customer care team is super supportive and responsive. I had my problem resolved in less than 24H once I discovered I had a double billing on two different accounts! and they did issue the reimbursement without even me asking!

The summaries are mostly good
The summaries are mostly good, as far as I can tell.
These things could be improved:
- lower the response times of the app. It takes too long to load pages. And no, it's not due to a slow internet connection.
- make sure that each summary has a proper table of contents. These don't have any: "The Sovereign Individual", "Exponential Organizations", "Unmasking Autism".
- add the date of creation of the book summary to it.
