Stay away.

My advice Pay extra and get proper software.

The system were not up to date for Irish regulation for my future fund pension prior 1 January 2026. In fact their system was not not even up to date after 1 January 2026.

On top I requested to delete my details from their database and they keep sending me emails.

Since they have changed their login procedure, using their services has become a nightmare. OTP's and/or password reset instructions are not delivered, leaving you stranded, been trying to login for 2hours today. Nothing simple about "simplepay". Unfortunately I will be moving away from what was once a great product.

Overall the ease of using the software is great . We are currently experiencing onboarding and inter company transfer issues . Our trial ended yesterday , my profile activation from my previous service provider still hasn't taken effect .I also find their support method very slow and tedious as its only on email and you cannot call the resolve the problem immediately . You become a prisoner to your PC waiting for support -Suggest that you look at that -its very inefficient.

Update: We have amended our initial review from a 2* to a 5*. Someone further up in their structure reached out to us. We had a frank discussion about our concerns. Within 4 working days their development team had made the changes as was necessary. Now that's impressive! I doubt there are many companies as committed to sorting out an issue as Simplepay. They deserve any recognition that comes their way.

Initial Review: We used to rave about this company. However, a recent issue emerged that made us start to question their commitment.
On the surface, and for the basics, their support is good. The challenge comes when there is a more in-depth problem that may even indicate there is an issue with their system - this is when matters start getting frayed around the edges.
The front-of-house support is well trained but anything more and we start to have a speed wobble.
Our advice is; if you require different permission levels for staff leave approval then tread very carefully - there is an issue that compromises staff confidentiality that they seem unwilling to address.

This is a fantastic cloud payroll software!
It is the easiest to use (no training required) and most efficient cloud app we have ever come across in our 25 years in business. we had Sage Payroll before for 15 years and it was absolute junk and pain, month after month, update after update.
Customer Support rarely needed but great team, very fast to answer. Now integrated new 2024 Revenue ERR requirements.
I would recommend to anyone doing payroll in Ireland

These guys have really made my life easier over the past 18 months which was really needed. Helpful and easy to deal with.

I run a one-man company and have to make monthly payroll. SimplePay is easy to learn and simple to use. I'd recommend it.

We've been using SimplePay for years and it is the perfect system for our payroll requirements in Ireland. It integrates easily with Xero and has other developer options if needed.

Their support is fantastic, the product is superb and the price point is spot on. They are responsive both from a support side and a technical side. Particularly impressive was the fast turn around of features needed to stay compliant with changing regulations.
