I recently signed up for the "premium" account. I have previously had 2 releases through Spinnup, available in all stores. Spinnup decided to eject 95% of their roster so I had to find a new distributor as soon as I had the cash. The text on the Singo main page says "Can I transfer my music from other distributors - Yes, you can! And the best part is; Your Music stays live at stores without any type of downtime. You won’t lose any statistics (Streams, Playlist Positions, etc) The transfer is absolutely seamless. Just make sure to use the same metadata and ISRC while submitting your already published music (Cover Art, Artist Name, Song Name, Audio File, etc.) (ISRC: You can always find that Code on your actual distributor like DistroKid, TuneCore, etc.)"

Now you have the background, here are my issues;

Re-Release 1 - Album
I entered all details for our album, uploaded the exact WAV files from the already released album. It was declined because there was 7 seconds of blank at the end of track 11. Now bear in mind this has already been released! I trimmed the file as requested and re-submitted and it has been approved, but now I'm pretty sure when they try to match the ISRC number with the previously released version there will be a shorter run-time which I believe could be the problem for my next issue.
The accepted version of our album has been in that status for just under 4 weeks now, I thought it was 48 hours? Is the delay because Singo now have a different run-time because Singo made me edit it? Further to that, the album status only says "approved" on the "all" tab of my releases. It does not appear under the "approved" tab, nor does it appear under the "delivered" tab.
Re-Release 2 - Single
I entered all our details for our single (2 songs, A-side and B-side), uploaded the exact WAV files from the previously released single. At first I had to keep editing it because the artwork (that had already been accepted and used in all stores by Spinnup) was apparently too low a resolution. In the end I created a new version of the artwork that is slightly different to the original artwork, and it was accepted. I can't help but feel this may become an issue if the single ever get's online again.
This single was then declined because track 2, which bear in mind had already been released into stores, had a 5 second blank space at the start of the track. I then edited the track and resubmitted. But of course, now when they try to tally it using the ISRC number, the run-time will be different.
The single was then declined again because track 2 has the same lyrics as track 1. You stated to me that the stores won't accept it. Now I know this to be untrue as it had already been released. Track 1 is a studio recording, this is the A-side. Track 2 is a demo version of the same song, this is the B-side.
Now, because of Singo.io, my musical act no longer have music on Spotify and as a result various promotional campaigns have been wasted, and we have lost our place on many playlists. I have tried speaking with Arvin, but he is either a BOT or is not reading the questions properly as he could be really stressed at the amount of crap he has to go through because Singo.io doesn't seem to be running very well, and I'm not getting the answers to my questions.

I would like to know everyone's views on the failed promises Singo.io have made, the loss of streams, sales and promotion because of said failed promises and the stress all of this has caused me, all because of Singo.io; their lack of transparency, their false advertising, lack of communication...

I wasn't going to leave this review, but I've asked multiple times over the last week for details of how to cancel my account/membership/subscription and have all my personal details, payment details and my music removed from their system only to be repeatedly told they can't do this because my album is "approved" (but they won't address the 4 weeks it's been like that - well, they won't address any of the specific problems).

I want to cancel and leave Singo.io but they won't let me. This fact alone should make people very, very wary about Singo.io, I do not recommend.

Allegedly 0 streams and 0 royalties

I uploaded my music a half year ago to this service. On Spotify I definitely had streams, also on other streaming services, but the trend data shows 0 all the time and I also didn't became even 1 cent. What happened here? Where is my money? Looks like they are confused doing their work.

If I read the reviews here its a wonder that all positive reviews are invited reviews. Would never use this Service again.

My account got banned!

Hi, I just want to know about after banding what is going to happen? I got email this morning that my account is banned for breaking terms & services! I don’t know why! cause I worked with singo for three months and my music are 100% mine, I don’t what i did to my account be banned?

Singo.io stellt eine existentielle Gefahr für ambitionierte Künstler dar!

Liebe Trustpilot Leser, liebes Singo.io Team,

ich werde in folgender Rezension auf die fundamentalen Probleme des Service von Singo.io hinweisen, um jeden aufstrebende Künstler vor dem Unheil zu bewahren.

Ich bin ein extrem ambitionierter deutscher Newcomer. Vor über zwei Wochen habe ich angefangen den Release meiner ersten Single zu planen. An diesem Punkt habe ich nach einem Digitalvertrieb gesucht, der mir gewährleisten kann, dass der Song pünktlich auf allen Streaming-Plattformen verfügbar ist. Aus diesem Grund habe ich mich für den Singo.io Premium-Dienst entschieden, der damit wirbt den Song innerhalb von 48h anzuliefern. Davon habe ich mir erhofft, dass ich vor Release noch genug Zeit habe, um mein Apple Music und Spotify for Artists Profil mit entsprechenden Grafiken und Informationen auszustatten und meinen Song via Spotify for Artists an entsprechende Playlisten zu pitchen. (Für das Playlisten-Pitching muss der Song mindestens eine Woche vor Release im Spotify for Artists Profil hinterlegt sein). JEDER weiß, wie entscheidend sich diese Playlistenplatzierungen gerade für neue Künstler auswirken können. Durch diese zwei Wochen Vorlaufzeit hätte Singo.io eine Woche Zeit gehabt, um den Song entsprechend zu prüfen und anzuliefern – 5 Tage mehr als deren Premium-Service entsprechend.

Ich habe mein Singo.io am 27.05.22 angelegt, den Premium Service gebucht und meine Daten angeliefert. Cover, Master – Künstlerinformationen. Danach geht der Release durch die interne Prüfung. Der „Delivery Status“ wurde am gleichen Tag noch AUF APPROVED gesetzt und mir das gute Gefühl vermittelt, dass meinem Single-Release nichts mehr im Weg stehen kann.

Der Einreichungs-Prozess für den Song war einfach – FAST ZU EINFACH. Im Vergleich zu Plattformen wie recordJet hat man relativ wenig Auswahlmöglichkeiten, so zum Beispiel KEINE Auswahlmöglichkeit für eine genaue Release Uhrzeit. Du kannst demnach das Musikvideo nicht mit dem Spotify-Release synchronisieren.

Im nächsten Schritt habe ich den Singo.io 24h Support kontaktiert, um herauszufinden, wann ich im Vorfeld Zugang zu meinem Spotify for Artists Profil bekomme und ob Singo.io spezielle Schreibweisen des Künstlers (Kleinbuchstaben) und Songtitels (Großbuchstaben). Der Supportmitarbeiter „Arvin“ nahm bezüglich der Schreibweise keine Stellung und teilte mir mit, dass ich mein Spotify for Artists Profil erst am Tag des Releases bekäme.

Wie ärgerlich - Playlisten-Pitching nach Veröffentlichung und außerhalb von Spotify sind hingegen zeit- und kostenintensiv.

An diese Stelle blieb mir nichts mehr übrig als zu warten.

Ich habe alle möglichen Kanäle mobilisiert, um am Tag des Releases am 09.06.22 auf mein Spotify Profil aufmerksam zu machen, um mir dort eine Hörerschaft aufzubauen. Ich habe das Release auf allen Social Media Plattformen beworben und intensives Influencer Marketing betrieben. Trailer mit Grafiken, die auf denen stand, dass der Song auf allen Plattformen verfügbar ist habe ich im halben Internet verbreitet. Ich habe dafür gesorgt, dass der Song am Release-Folgetag bei einem Podcast mit 100k+ Zuhörern gefeatured wurde.

Meine E-Mails an den Singo.io Kundensupport wurden bis heute ignoriert.

Das ganze Momentum, die ganzen Platzierungen, alles an Marketingbudget komplett in die Luft geblasen, weil Singo.io es NICHT SCHAFFT trotz 2 Wochen Vorlauf und Premium Paket einen Release fristgerecht anzuliefern. Das stellt einen monetären Verlust dar, den ich nicht auf mir sitzen lasse.

Singo. Ich muss euch enttäuschen. Ich habe leider überhaupt kein Verständnis. Das DARF NICHT PASSIEREN. Singo.io muss Releases überprüfen, bevor diese an die Stores geschickt wurden. Ein „Approved“ Status hat bei Singo.io dementsprechend überhaupt nichts zu bedeuten! Euer Song kann trotzdem ein paar Stunden vor Release abgelehnt werden.

Hier ist ein Schaden entstanden, den Singo zu verantworten habt! Ich weiß nicht, an welcher Stelle es gescheitert ist – ob der unfähige Supportmitarbeiter, oder das unfähige Quality-Check Team – im Endeffekt werdet ihr als Unternehmen dafür verantwortlich gemacht.

Singo.io kontaktiert mich bitte so schnell es geht, damit wir eine konstruktive Lösung finden. Andernfalls sehe ich mich gezwungen alle Hebel in Bewegung zu setzen, um Singo.io rechtlich, als auch medial zu Rechenschaft zu ziehen.

Terrible experience from start to…

Terrible experience from start to finish!

I paid for a premium membership and uploaded 7 albums. These tracks were all already live on Spotify through a different distributor so had all the relevant codes to upload.

One of the main selling points was that they offered distribution within 48hrs - this is a lie. I am 10 days in now and tracks are still not live.

4 we’re declined and I was given vague reasons like ‘edit needed’ but didn’t actually advise what edit was needed.

Only after multiple emails did I get the actual detail of what needed to be edited only to be told I can’t make edits on the tracks.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!

They may delete your account and keep your release

They deleted my account because I infringed copyright. I asked them to delete all my releases for no reply, They are still monetizing my songs. I have 9 to 15 thousand hits per day on all DSPs.

Answer your question. You never warned me three times. only once and then less than five minutes later I received an email my account was banned. You can't takedown You tracks, because they want to earn money on it... with You or without.They close your account anytime.

I HAVE NO NEED TO USE YOUR SERVICE. YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY MUSIC DISTRIBUTOR

Hello, we indeed blocked your account. You uploaded over 20 Albums that are copyrighted by major labels and they claimed your music so we had to take action.

This is not how music distribution works, you agreed over 3(!) times to NOT upload copyrighted material, but you decided to ignore this and still upload and abuse our service.

We protect the rights of all artists around the world and don't accept such behavior in our service.

Please don't use our Plattform again as this is not allowed.

To give us a 1-star rating is not fair at all because you should be aware that uploading copyrighted stuff is not allowed.

I had a problem with my 2nd payout with singo but the support team is amazing and assured me that I will receive my money on the next payout and they are true to their word. So happy with my experience with singo especially with the support team and even with their CEO who also helped me with my problem. Singo is the best music distributor you can definitely trust period.

This distributor count one release…

This distributor count one release declined as one release accepted so if you are on free plan or mid plan and you have full declined releases (like bad song format, bad illustration or one title is wrong writed) you can't upload more releases...

I contacted the support, they told me to buy premium to fix that problem...

EDIT (ANSWER TO SINGO) :
It's completly false, you declined 3 releases for thoses reasons : Illustrations & Album title
I can't edit or can't delete the release, after contacting you, you answer to buy a premium..
So stop lying...
I pass my rate to 1/5 until you fix the situation

I was able to discuss with a person who solved the situation and clear the situation very happy to finally met a good support answer..

So we only decline songs/albums if there is a "big" mistake like trying to upload copyrighted music, slowed music, etc.

In this case, we count this as a release we need to prevent us from abusing our service by trying to upload copyrighted material over and over again, I hope you can understand this.

If there is a bad song format, bad illustration or one title is wrong written, we DONT decline your album, we put it into the status "need edit" so you get the chance to edit this album without losing your count of releases.
