Matt, really a great teacher, made it look so easy and shared his life experiences as well. Highly recommended.

I've recently finished 5 days course,named setting out and survey courses with Mattew Hughes. I would say it's my best week so far in terms of training sessions. He is so helpful and humble enough to provide perfect explanation and details of each and everything. He trained us through examples, shares on site experience and explained the worst case scenarios which were quite helpful. Amazing host, amazing hospitality.

I recently completed the Site Engineering course on Mapping and Surveying, and it was a very informative and practical learning experience. The course provided a solid understanding of the fundamental principles of surveying, site measurements, and mapping techniques used in construction and civil engineering projects.

One of the most valuable aspects of the course was the balance between theory and practical application. The lessons explained important concepts such as site measurements, leveling, coordinate systems, and the use of surveying instruments like total stations and GPS equipment. This helped me understand how accurate data collection is essential for proper planning and construction.

I must give a massive shout out to Matt Hughes for his constant support the whole way through highly recommend this course to anyone looking to get into it.

I highly recommend; to anyone looking for a refresher or wanting to improve their settingout skills, don't think twice, this is the course for you. The delivery was great, well structured course, good balance between theory and hands on practice.

The course was interactive and interesting.

I would like to express my appreciation for the training delivered by Matt. He was an excellent teacher who provided clear, thorough guidance throughout each task. Under his instruction, I learned how to set up control points and carry out levelling using a dumpy level. He also taught me how to use secondary control points to check the plumbness of a building, as well as how to set out drainage runs accurately. In addition, Matt introduced me to key instrument functions such as volume calculations, measure-to-line, and stakeout. His teaching has significantly improved my confidence and competence on site.

I had an amazing on the course lead by Matthew. As a placement student, this course needed to be clear and simple for someone like me that had not had much experience in setting out. He made sure that all of us understood everything, and anything we needed he made sure we had. Would definitely recommend and once again, thank you Matt!

Matt delivered a highly engaging and interactive course, which included many practical activities using the total station, grade laser, dumpy levels and pipe laser. Highly recommend this course!

Matt was great at teaching the levelling and setting-out course. His enthusiasm and passion for his work made everyone’s time very enjoyable and engaging. I got a lot out of the course and found it very helpful and fun.
