Excited at First, Now Disillusioned
I recently discovered Slumberkins through a podcast and was deeply inspired by their mission—or what I thought it was. As I’ve been navigating challenges with narcissistic behavior in my partner, I wanted to work with my son, to build his emotional resilience. I was excited by Slumberkins’ concept and their potential to support emotional learning, so I made two significant purchases totaling over $400, including copies of their introductory book to gift to attendees at my son’s birthday party.
Wanting to introduce Slumberkins as a valuable resource to other families, I ordered extra books. Later, I realized I had purchased more than I needed, so I contacted their team to explain my situation, express my admiration for their work, and ask if I could return a small subset of the redundant books.
To my disappointment, my request was denied. I assumed it was a standard customer service response and hoped a manager would understand my intentions and make an exception. However, I later learned that the refusal came from one of the co-founders, Callie, themselves.
This interaction left me deflated. It became clear that Slumberkins is not as committed to being a resource for families as I had believed—they seem more focused on selling products. For a brand that promotes emotional growth and connection, I expected more empathy and flexibility in their approach to customer relationships. Unfortunately, this experience has made me question their true intentions.
Incredible customer service
I purchased a number of items for my children for Christmas this year. Everything arrived quickly, well packaged and perfectly intact. The books are beautiful and the soft toys are fantastic quality. I am so pleased!
Sadly my husband accidentally threw out the mini cardinal soft toy without checking all the packaging. I wrote a review for the items I purchased and mentioned what happened, and was beyond surprised to find a replacement mini cardinal at my door this evening! I had no expectation that they would replace this item as it was completely my fault not theirs, but I am over the moon that they so generously did! This will make my bird loving son so unbelievably happy on Christmas Day! And I can’t wait for my kids to open their other Slumberkins items.

Perfect Gift Buying Experience!
I stumbled across Slumberkins in a scramble trying to buy my 4 and 1 years old nephews Christmas gifts on Black Friday/Cyber Monday weekend.
The stuffed animals, books, and activities Slumberkins offer all seemed perfect for them! I ordered the XL Otter and Hero Camp.
First, the lessons being taught were perfect since I live across the country and we can’t always be together. I thought Hero Camp would be awesome for my 4yo nephew who is new to being a big brother and starting to be more social.
Second, the holiday deals were too good to be true!! I ended up spending $103 and some change, when the original total would’ve been over $230!!!! Incredible savings!
After I was completely satisfied with my purchase, set the mailing address to my sister’s house on the east coast where we’ll be spending the holiday, I realized… I never heard of this company and didn’t even check the reviews!
My heart SANK when I saw the Trustpilot reviews!!!! I thought for sure my nephews would never see their gifts and I’d miss all the good holiday sales, didn’t know if I’d get my money back… you know, all of the terrible things you think when your read someone else’s personal negative experience.
THIS WAS NOT THE CASE!!!! I placed my order on November 27th and received a UPS tracking number shortly after. I was getting nervous thinking this could be a scam… BUT The tracking number registered after a couple days (like they normally do), and the package arrived safely at my sister’s house on December 2nd!! TOTAL RELIEF!!!!
My sister hasn’t opened the gifts yet, so I don’t have much of a review on quality, but from what I’ve seen and experienced, I don’t think there will be any disappointment from Slumberkins this holiday season! :)
Package never delivered, would not issue refund or replacement
I never received the package, while the company received my payment. When I contacted customer service and asked for a refund or replacement order, the company took several weeks to reply, and ultimately reported that they would not make any efforts to resolve the issue. As a brand new mom and person who works in the mental health field, it’s disappointing to me that a children and family company would scam families out of their money like this.

If I could give no stars I would! I ordered 2 Slumberkins as Christmas presents for this year around Black Friday. I went back to my email confirmation to see if I could track the package to see when I would expect the order to arrive. To my surprise it said it was delivered and left at front door. As you can probably already guess, I did not receive this order. It was never delivered to my home. We have doorbell cameras as well as property cameras everywhere and no fedex deliveries have been made to my home. When I tried to call fedex and put in my tracking # the automated teller just says “package was delivered and we can’t help you” after repeatedly trying to call and not getting anywhere I tried the virtual customer service, that was a joke and useless as that as well did nothing except try to tell me that the delivery method is through USPS. So then I call my post office which inform me they do not deliver fedex packages, but they tried to help by looking up tracking but no luck as it was through fedex. Fast forward to day 4 and 3 emails later to this company ( who still has not replied to any of my emails) I try and call fedex again and FINALLY speak with someone. To only be told that there is nothing they can do regarding the matter. As the form of delivery from the sender is not traceable and offered me no help at all and told me I had to contact seller and gave them file a claim. Clearly this is not working out as they are not responding to any of my emails and there is no contact # to speak with someone. I am extremely disappointed and annoyed that I thought this would make the perfect Christmas gifts as I ordered 2 and they are not cheap. Now here I am with no refund or presents. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. Very UNPROFESSIONAL.

Amazing business and products!
I came across Slumberkins through an Instagram advertisement.
Without searching much about the company, and based only on what the advertisement was showing, I decided to buy one for my friend's son who is soon to become a big brother.
Children go through a tough time when there is change in their lives and they need the affirmation that they are still loved and connected.
I was not expecting much from this order as I have been pretty disappointed with other purchases from IG advertisements. However, Slumberkins not only delivered what they advertised but put me in a stage of awe on how they treated me all the way to the delivery of my purchase.
They kept me updated the whole time of shipping status and delivered my order really fast. I forgot to sign my greeting card and they contacted me to get my permission to share my identity after my friend contacted them to know who had sent them the gift.
I became a huge fan of their business to the point that I want to buy their whole collection to myself.
I am now exploring their products and I am very impressed with all the social emotional learning resources they offer to help children to cope with whatever feeling or challenge they are facing. Resources include snuggler, books, family activity, coloring pages, storytime and affirmation. They even offer teacher tools with interactive lessons, classroom products, and free classroom activities.
I am so glad to see a company offering such a beautiful and powerful product.
Check out their products and gift all the little ones you love and care about! Let's make sure our children grow knowing that they matter and they are worthy, loved and cared. We need to build a better society and we must start with our children.
I FINALLY received my daughters…
I FINALLY received my daughters Slumberkins snuggler. I was so excited to open it and give it to her. I was completely disappointed. Considering the price I paid for it and the time it took to get here when they said it would take 1-4 days, i was expecting it to be a lot bigger. The pictures on the site were very deceiving. I was expecting more of a baby blanket size, but it’s the size of a small stuffed animal without the stuffing. Had I known, I would’ve just gotten a stuffed animal. I’m extremely disappointed and I wouldn’t recommend.

I ordered 5 items from Slumberkins on November 27th. They did not send them until December 18th . Now they will not be here in time for Christmas. Which is very sad and frustrating for me. When contacting them they blamed Post Office. I understand the Post office is overwhelmed with all the holidays and Covid. But this is on them not the Post office. I have order their stuff animals before and my granddaughters loved them and the books. But after this situation I will no longer due business with them. There are other companies that do this kind of products as well. I will try a new company in future.
I am in love with our Slumberkin
I am in love with our Slumberkin! We recently purchased a Slumberkin and its corresponding book. I was very impressed with the quality and content in the book. I love how simply it tackles changes to families and provides affirmations to repeat.
Shipping did take a while but it was clearly stated on the website that the shipping window is longer than normal right now. I received a tracking number as soon as it did ship and everything arrived in perfect condition.
I am excited to use Slumberkins more as my child grows and faces difficult problems.
Absolute scam
Such poor customer service. I spent $150+ on an order from this company and received an email saying it would ship in 1-4 days. 7 days later there was still no shipping, the company’s excuse? That they didn’t have boxes and they “missed the mark.” Why they’re charging credit cards knowing full well they aren’t going to meet their own self prescribed shipping obligation is beyond me. I’ve been following this company for quite some time and was SO excited for our first order, but they turned out to just be a massive disappointment. The watered down response and ridiculous excuse for lack of communication on order processing is shameful. I’m glad we received a refund, but the fact that they KNEW they weren’t going to meet the shipping window and didn’t even bother to email customers is disappointing. Don’t promise customers a product you can’t manage to get to them, especially not for such an over inflated price tag.
They claimed the shipping boxes needed to get orders out arrived 6/26 however, as of 6/30 people are still without tracking information.
Yesterday, dozens of customers were asking about shipping on Slumberkins and Camp Slumberkins Instagram accounts. All comments regarding those delays and MULTIPLE people sharing they haven’t been updated have been deleted by the company. Today, comments are still being deleted as posted when the company is being questioned about the lack of communication and the shipping issue.
This is clearly just another company taking advantage of parents by overcharging for cute things because they know they’ll sell. They absolutely do not care about their customers.
