Ella Seki at Sold has been amazing throughout our house purchase. I would highly recommend her services. Communication has been excellent, especially during a brief bit of a stressful time but I feel Ella really made it as smooth as possible. Excellent service.

my experience in buying this property was made great by Ella Seki. What a wonderful lady! It was a long drawn out process, through various unavoidable things, but throughout it all Ella kept me informed, was cheerful and positive and honest. It was a pleasure to have the many many phone calls with her and SOLD.COM should give this lady golden handcuffs to keep her where she is because she would be in demand for any company in the world! We recently purchased a house through sold.co.uk which was also owned by them. Overall, the experience was very positive. Everyone we dealt with was honest, easy to talk to, and responded quickly. Hector Hadow, the sales progressor, was excellent throughout: always on the ball and consistently following through on everything.

We viewed the property in November ’25, made an offer the next day, and had it accepted within a few hours, with an initial completion date aimed for early January (possibly even December). After a slightly painful process, we eventually completed in March.

From what I understand, part of their model involves buying properties from sellers who don’t want to go through the traditional route, then turning them around for a profit as quickly as possible. When you view the purchase from that angle, their approach makes complete sense — they behave more like a business. It’s a house, not a home, from their perspective.

Because of this, they were quite anxious about us using a mortgage lender not on their approved list, worrying it might cause delays. If we wanted to use a lender not on their list - they would want a deposit to protect themselves financially if the sale fell through. Our broker recommended a lender outside their list who could offer us much better rates, so we ended up applying with two lenders — one approved, one not — to keep everyone satisfied (and so we didn't have to put down a deposit).

They also encouraged us to use their recommended conveyancer, mainly due to speed. Credit where it’s due: Gilson Grey (Ashley Baber) were brilliant — incredibly responsive, thorough, and absolutely acted in our best interests. No complaints there at all.

The delays we experienced were legal in nature. A restriction on the property wasn’t disclosed until January, which held everything up. The approved-list mortgage lender then pulled out, but thankfully our broker-secured alternative lender was pragmatic and allowed us to complete.

In many ways, the purchase was relatively smooth because the people involved were good at what they do. That said, a few things could be improved:
• Mortgage lenders: Steering buyers toward a limited approved list can backfire. In our case, if we had used only their preferred lender, the sale would likely have collapsed after four months, losing them time and profit, and us the house. Broadening the list or being more flexible would help.
• Legal transparency: If quirks or restrictions are known at the start, buyers should be informed upfront. That way, brokers can place the mortgage with the right lender initially, avoiding unnecessary delays.

Despite these points, I would absolutely buy from them again. In many ways, purchasing a house treated as a business transaction is easier — there’s less emotion and fewer complications. A bit more transparency and flexibility on the above points would benefit everyone involved, including sold.co.uk themselves.

Five stars because we ultimately got the house we love. If it had fallen through, I’d probably have deducted a couple of stars due to the undeclared legal issues — but thankfully, everything worked out. The mortgage broker we used, though, absolutely deserves 5.5 stars.

I’ve given five stars just for Hector who helped us during this process. He had to support us for a whole year given delays in the process and was always kind and as helpful as he could be. Probably the best communicator in the whole process.

Extremely fast no chain sale (5 weeks). Communication very clear and promises kept. Thanks especially to Hector for speaking daily to resolve a POA issue that was holding up completion.

Our first home was with Sold , Hector was so supportive and they helped the buying process to happen very quickly, Hector was chasing the bits and pieces and organised everything in the right direction.Thank you Sold team .

On 16th of March 2026 I wrang the sold uk number only to be greated by an artificial intelligent. After a bit of waffle from the AI I waited a few hours then wrang again. When I got through the AI asked if they would ring my number NOTHING ALL DAY 24 hours later they ring to late now not interested to my mind this company is a waste of time. RUBBISH AND RUDE.

Great communication throughout my dealings with this company. Hector went above and beyond to get my purchase completed he is a true asset to the company!

I would highly recommend sold.co.uk to anyone looking at purchasing or selling a property.

Unfortunately I had dealings with a thoroughly nasty salesperson from this company today.
I made an enquiry via Rightmove about a house they have advertised for sale.
A couple of hours later I got a phone call from a man who said he was calling from sold.co.uk - he asked me financial information to qualify me as a buyer, which is fair enough - however as I explained to the salesperson, I was in the supermarket and didn't want to give out that information in a crowded public place.
That was obviously like a red rag to a bull for this man who became thoroughly nasty, telling me in a raised voice that he refused to make any appointment for me, he again demanded to know how much money I had - and asked how much I had in the bank.
I again told him that I was in the supermarket and could he email me any questions?
More shouting and nastiness - culminating in 'You can f*** off then' and the phone call disconnected.

Arranged viewings and then cancelled them last minute as the viewer turned up to our house, leading us to do the viewings ourselves before another viewer tuned up which we had not been informed about.
Told us they would take a 2 grand profit from our sale and we would get the rest. Turned out to be £5k, so we were completely lied to.
Also told all the viewings would be done in one day, and if it didn't sell in 30 days, they'd advertise it to their big catalogue of regular house buyers. All lies.
Honestly do not waste your time. Communication was poor, they would leave voicemails saying they'd sent an email but there was no email, even after confirming with them the correct email. Just shambles and a complete waste of our time. Selling a house is hard and they just made it 10x harder.

I was with an estate agent that wasn't really pushing my property, so I spoke to Sold.co.uk for advice. We had a real challenge selling my flat, with management companies taking forever to provide information and being largely unhelpful, which had already resulted in 2 different sales that fell through.
