Was asked to call back after the review. After waiting for almost 1 hour a rep called Zoe was unable to explain or justify or even retrieve the email I sent to the reviews team. Just proves the point made . Absolute waste of time. Don't go anywhere near this broker they are not insurers

Worst company to Handel your claims ever. Their client has hit my car whilst parked And they’re refusing to pay for my damages and not even properly tell me why this is. Costumer services is useless they just tell you to wait and keep telling me to go through my insurance even though i already told them that i have third party insurance only. I will wait a couple of days then i will get my lawyers involved.

Worst insurance company I’ve ever known. Don’t keep you updated. Had to ring them everyday and wait on hold to get through just to get my own belongings out of stolen car. They wanted me to contact Copart for updates. Stay away from this company

Super untrustworthy. Make sure to get everything in writing because they’ll go back on things they say on the phone, especially if they drop the “I’ll speak to a manager line”. Pathetically operated. Terrible at communicating with their clients. The whole process has seemed super shady. I have no confidence in this company. Wouldn’t recommend them to anyone

I have waited 43 minutes today to speak to an advisor, I spoke to two people who said the receptionist had passed me through to the wrong department. Finally I was cut off before being able to deal with the claim matter.

I have to give 1 star because there is no option for zero stars. I made a claim on September 24th and have been continuously following up since then. It was clearly the fault of a third party. I told Somerset customer care to request the CCTV footage from the council, but I don’t believe they even reviewed it. One day, I received a letter stating that, "in our view, this is 100% your fault." I was shocked – this is ridiculous and completely false, as it was clearly a third-party fault. I was driving straight in my lane when the third party overreacted, came from the wrong side, and intentionally hit my car. This is all shown in the CCTV footage.
It seems that Somerset didn’t properly handle the case and fabricated a report, sending me a letter claiming it was my fault. Why am I paying £140 a month for insurance if this is how they handle claims? I’ve clearly stated that I will take legal action in small claims court for this fraudulent investigation if they continue to try to close the case through their inactivity

I would rate 0 stars if there is an option. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE SERVICE. My car had an accident on 28th sep and I’m paying £170 per month and still my claim is going on. Initially they mentioned that my vehicle is total loss and waited few days. After that their engineer came for inspection and without even starting the car he estimated that my car is repairable. Then I have asked for BMW approved service centre and they don’t have any then. Last week I have asked for cash settlement so that I can get it repaired myself. They mentioned that its possible. Today when I called them for an updated, they mentioned cash settlement is not possible and somehow they got BMW approved service centres now. Its been 4 months since my car had an accident and its still gone nowhere. Can someone help to take this further or register a case in the court ? Thankyou.

EDITED: Seemed it was going to Very good as initial call was handled very well by Adam.
However 4 months later I am still struggling to get my car fixed and recover the excess I have paid from the third party who was a fault.

I'm currently on a lengthy hold to GoSkippy (trading name of Somerset Bridge Group) having asked why they call themselves brokers on the GoSkippy website: "A fresh insurance broker here to bring you first class insurance at competitive prices." GoSkippy is categorically not a broker, but a direct sales arm of Somerset Bridge. I think this needs to be clear. The use of the word 'broker' implies the GoSkippy team scans the market to find you a good deal like most brokers do. But in fact they only sell you Somerset policies. This is surely dishonest. I'm still on hold. No-one wants to answer the phone. For context, my wife and I wasted hours considering their car policy in December 2024, thinking we had used the services of a bona fide car insurance 'broker' that wasn't in fact a broker at all.
