Parcel was dispatched fast and arrived earlier than expected. Items are always well packaged and arrive in perfect condition. Unusual selection of goods not readily available elsewhere. Also, customer service is friendly and they are happy to help. Highly recommended.
Absolutely love this place. Will definitely order again. Bought lots of different foods I'd not normally find in my local shops...order arrived quickly and everything super well wrapped. Fabbri cherries are my current favourites, but I've not tried everything yet. Lovely friendly customer service.
The selection of products and the speed of dispatch and delivery was great. I had to contact the customer service team about my order, and they replied very quickly and we're immediately able to resolve my concern. Great service all around.

Purchase delivery and communication were very good pricey. Though
I bought a wok and fermented chinese mustard root from these guys. Everything came very quickly. Quality of the pan looks really high despite being quite competitively priced. They've got lots of interesting products on their website. Really recommend these guys for foodies/chefs - we're really lucky that businesses like this exist. Communication was great - I think these guys are very well organised.

I am seriously impressed with both the deal and subsequent service I have received from Sous Chef.
I was looking for a professional quality frying/sauteing pan and came across the DeBuyer Blue Steel Pan on the Sous Chef website at a very competitive price.
Less than 48 hours later it has arrived well packaged and without any 'delivery drama'.
The pan looks well made and to say I am chuffed with my purchase is an understatement.
Sous Chef..please keep up the good work..from a very, very satisfied customer.

My wife bought me Whole Black Winter Truffle as a present because I simply love them. To say they were disappointing is an understatement. Utterly tasteless with the texture of a jelly baby. Not even vaguely close to the taste of fresh truffles. In a blind taste you’d never guess what you’re eating. But to make matters worse, when my wife, who is an extremely talented cook, emailed to complain she received back a patronising and banal response. £46!!! I’d avoid like the plague and the Company’s customer service dept. could do with some basic training in Customer Service too.

We ordered on a Saturday night and Sous Chef had it in the post the same night - really fast and the kitchenware was high quality.
Very happy with Sous Chef. Their customer service is so friendly, helpful and prompt. On the (extremely) rare occasion I had an issue they put it right immediately, without fuss and with apologies. That to me is the mark of a good company.
Goods always arrive very well and thoughtfully wrapped and packed.
There's an impressively wide range of goods. Yes, you can probably find some things cheaper, as they become more popular and therefore more widely available, but I challenge anyone to find such an impressive range in one place. Rare things too, not just popular ones.
My only criticism would be that there's such a wide range that it's sometimes difficult to browse and search online. But maybe that's because I'm searching on my Android phone, which at 3 years old is probably considered technically dated.
I was let down by DPD delivering my parcel to the wrong address. It meant a gift didn't arrive in time for a special occasion and DPD were less than helpful. I've worked with them before in a previous job and know first hand how frustrating it is to be at the mercy of an inconsistent courier company.
The sous chef team, in particular Gracie, were nothing but helpful from start to finish. They tried tirelessly to find the delivery and in the end offered to send out a replacement. The communication was personal, genuine and prompt. A pleasure to deal with and I look forward to placing many orders again in the future. Many thanks!
Ordered a bread knife. Trying to get it delivered was a nightmare. No communication. DPD could not find the address so nothing, no delivery. They can't just leave a delivery for pick up because it must be signed for. It's not a case of going to a post office and picking up later. Because people work 9-5pm it's almost impossible to coordinate unless you are a house wife. Sous Chef has not talked to me and given help. Very complicated and the knife is still not delivered. DPD has a work address now but you can't leave notes on the delivery so if it is a little bit hard to deliver they just seemingly don't deliver. Have sent multiple emails, I just want clear communication and would like to know where the delivery is.
I feel scammed and I am quite upset about it.

We Ordered 7 panettoni before Christmas. We had one panettone before leaving for holidays (1week) which did not taste very fresh. After coming back (1st Jan) we decided to open a panettone, to find out that inside, it was covered with worms. Contacted customer service straight away, which ended its investigation saying that it is not their fault - which kind of implies it was our fault when storing the items, as they specified it in every email, despite us sending picture of the immaculate cupboard we used in our kitchen. They also asked us to send them back the panettoni, after 17 days. Which also ended up with a partial refund of a mere 2 panettoni out of 7, because I sent pictures of only 2 panettoni showing the worms/not being fresh.
I don’t know what was worst: finding the worms in the panettoni or the way the customer service handled the issue.
GUTTED. ADDIO.
Update: Customer Service reconsidered the matter, issued full refund and sent us a little present to apologise. Apparently there was a misunderstanding between us.
