I have worked with Karla Lopez of Spanish VIP for the last six-months meeting 3 times a week. I would say I was a mid-level beginner when I started. Six-months later and I have a much better ability to have basic conversations in Spanish with my soon-to-be Latin American neighbors.
Karla is patient, helpful and extremely flexible in developing lesson plans that worked best for my level and wants. Formal instruction with materials, casual conversation, videos of songs, games, etc. were all part of my six-month experience.
I would recommend Karla and Spanish VIP for those of you in the same situation as I was, a beginner trying to get conversational in basic Spanish soon.

I have an amazing teacher, Jose. He tailors the lessons to my needs and is able to keep me motivated, even while learning the different verb tenses. I started the lessons to help me with an upcoming trip to Spain; however, my love of the language has been rekindled and I plan to continue my lessons after my trip. I have also learned a lot about art and culture through our lessons. As for the company, their responses to inquiries have been quick and efficient and resolved to my needs.
I was referred to SpanishVIP by someone I know and it is the best decision I made. I tried online language tools in the past and nothing compares to the lessons I'm receiving with Jose.

I started out with group classes, but realised it might be better for my timetable to have one to one tuition. Spanish V.I.P were really helpful and communicative and even though I had already taken a few group classes, they were happy to switch me over to a tutor. I expected the wait to be longer, but they quickly found me a wonderful tutor - Angela. She is so patient and fun to have as a teacher. I don't feel afraid to make mistakes and she is extremely patient! We always have plenty of laughs and overall my experience learning has been fantastic. Thanks you Spanish VIP and thank you Angela :)

I love my classes with Spanish VIP. The group classes are fun and the tutors are very patient. They cover a wide range of material at all levels of learning. My private tutor is so pleasant to work with. I learned more with her in one week then I did in 6 months of using apps. She makes classes exciting, they are not just grammar lessons. I feel like I really know the culture and so much more about the countries I would like to visit then I could ever get from textbooks or youtube.

Since I stopped taking classes with SpanishVIP, I have contacted them over a dozen times about their nonstop harassment spam emails. I’ve unsubscribed, emailed customer support, emailed customer success, and no one will even reply to me acknowledging my messages begging for them to stop sending me emails. I know the many great reviews may give you pause about a few negative ones, but I can promise you that your money will be much better spent with Baselang or a similar company. This company does not have any infrastructure or support backing it up, and i’m not even sure they exist anymore since nobody answers messages.

I've been taking classes with SpanishVIP for almost 6 months. I've been taking the group classes with Viviana. She takes her time to explain grammar points and corrects your pronunciation and she always ensures everybody has the opportunity to speak and answer questions. I really like that I can learn at my own pace with a real teacher. I've been taking my time and taking classes if I have the time. There is a curriculum you follow so if you miss one class in a series, I would suggest you email to get the slides. Each class is really interactive. You get to know the other students and your teacher. The timing can be a challenge though. Classes are available around the clock but the level you want to take may not be available at the time you need it at. But other than that I've really enjoyed my time and I've signed up for another 6 months.

There is no other online program that gives you this much value for your money. I am a 69 year old student so I might find it more challenging than the younger students. My teacher, Viviana, is very patient and the lessons are fun. I would recommend this program to anyone of any age.

SpanishVIP has given me the confidence to practice and learn Spanish at my own pace and on my schedule.

My teacher, Jacqueline, is patient and creates a welcoming classroom where we are able to practice conversations while learning new things. The lessons are well organized and have a mix of listening, writing and speaking.

Learning a new language is challenging but the flexibility and tailored learning SpanishVIP offers has made all the difference.

Before I begin I just want to let you guys know that I was in the 6 month private tutorial program. In those 6 months, I had private lessons every week, Monday to Friday.

During my six months with SpanishVIP, I can confidently say that my progress in the language has improved significantly. Specifically, I started at A0 and have been able to progress to B2. To be honest, I wanted to get to C1 but due to external circumstances I wasn't able to achieve it. Still, the services that SpanishVIP has rendered thus far is impeccable. While there was some turnover with my tutors, the management at the company was able to find me a suitable replacement within a few weeks. They also were kind enough to adjust the length of the subscription to reflect the time that was used to find me a substitute teacher.

Regarding their materials and approach, I am very pleased with it. The way they have constructed the curriculum allows for a smooth and natural progression. Lessons blend well together and build on top of each other. As a result, you don't feel the need to memorize as much since what you learned before is immediately applied in the next lesson.

As for the instructors, I have to admit that they can be of varying quality. Some teachers have difficulty in translating concepts, particularly with regards to tenses, from Spanish into English. However that is not necessarily a fault of their own. People naturally would have difficulty in trying to express a grammatical concept to a foreigner, especially if they have grown up with the language and absorbed the nuances of how it works subconsciously. Still, the fact that they are willing to bridge the gap and give endless examples when asked is commendable. Without their patience, learning Spanish would have been discouraging.

On a final note, if you were given a chance to pick an instructor, I would definitely recommend Juan Perilla! Among the three teacthers that I've had, he's by far the best. His facility of English and Spanish is such that you can obtain a rough intuition on how particular grammar points work together through the examples that he provides. Lastly, his enthusiasm to teach is palpable. It's clear that he enjoys teaching the language and is passionate about sharing it with others. This, I find, is absolutely essential when doing something challenging like learning a foreign language.

Overall, I found my time at SpanishVIP to be worthwhile. The cost is quite reasonable especially if one considers what one is getting. I hope that you would find it as enjoyable as I have.

I loved the price and the fact that I could speak with a Spanish teacher for four hours a week. Karen Pacheco was a fantastic teacher! I enjoyed our lessons very much. One of the most beneficial parts was getting to learn the sentence structure and being able to ask as many questions as I wanted to. Karen was very patient, funny, and an excellent teacher. I wasn't very good at Spanish, so it was nice that she could speak English well, too.
The only downside was that I felt like sometimes we went over so much information, and I didn't remember it because we didn't review it enough. I didn't have much time to review on my own because I'm also doing full-time college right now, so not having much time for review was difficult for me.

I have been having daily classes for the last 2 months with Alejandra as my tutor. She has really helped me improve my Spanish and we focus on the areas that I am struggling with.
I really like the variety of material she creates in the classes to keep things fresh and interesting.
I know that my skills are improving and I can't wait to see where I'm at in 6 months. I'd definitely recommend their program.

Angelica T is an incredible tutor. Very accommodating, patient, kind and knowledgeable. She has an extremely professional and positive attitude. I've been working with her since November. She goes the extra mile to ensure I understand concepts in the language and grasp what Colombian culture is like.

Angelica is such an excellent fit as my tutor as we are both high achieving resilient women.

SpanishVIP has not only helped me improve my Spanish, but has also improved my confidence in speaking. The curriculum is well-developed and they apply important teaching methods to the lessons (review, spaced repetition, etc.) I'm an English tutor so impressing me is difficult, but Spanish VIP is an excellent program.
