Easy platform
I have been using this platform for all of my fundraising. It’s super easy to use and I love the new update they made to be able to post any updates to your fundraiser! I do a local TNR so to be able to post those updates with pictures of the cats that people are helping is super helpful and shows that the money they are donating is actually going to work helping out the cause! I also love that you are able to make a flyer with a QR code to be able to get the word out too! I have been able to hand out a few and hang up flyers in my neighborhood to be able to help my cause that way too! The experience using this platform has been overall an easy and effective solution.

This was very quick and easy to use when an emergency situation arouse in our household. Easy as anything to use. Customer Service was always helpful, and I live the part about no fees except for the credit card fees. I haven’t hit my goal yet, but the funds I have raised went to paying necessary bills that would’ve been shut off

this said it was free- i felt bad…
you said it was free- i felt bad telling people to donate and then when they did, a large charge was added to their donation. i thought oh well, nothings really free anymore. but my shock was when i went to CASH OUT!!!
so my friend in need could see someone had just donated $100 but i wouldn't get $100 back on my end so i had to eat an extra charge on my end end too!!!!!
so my work friend group raised $1000 so
then i bought $1000 worth of gift cards. so the group could see there was $1000 in there. but i couldn't buy $1000 bc there was another $45 charge so i had to buy what ever $1000 minusb$45 is!!!!!!!!
so it looks like whoever the person in charge of the fundraiser is skimming off the top!!!!!!!!!!!
unbelievable to say it's free then charge ppl to donate and then charge the person in charge of fundraiser on the way out too! i will never ever ever let anyone i know use this site.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I’d just like to provide a bit more context about the fees you mentioned.
Please know that *spotfund is a 0% fee platform. We do not charge any fees and are funded entirely by the voluntary generosity of donors and organizers through optional tips, which allows the platform to remain free for folks like yourself.
The fees you mentioned are actually processing fees charged by payment processors. Credit card processors will always deduce the standard 2.9% plus $0.30 per transaction. These fees are deducted before the funds reach us - we then distribute the entirety of the funds raised to the campaign organizer/beneficiary.
These fees are laid out on the top of our homepage and also during the bank linking process.
Kindly note that credit/debit card processing fees are an unavoidable reality when processing payments online and are present across all fundraising platforms worldwide. It is important to note you are not losing out on funds you would have been able to receive elsewhere 🙂
