The meat we have had has been good, but during hot weather it has been delivered defrosted. This is very unhelpful when ordering in bulk. When I emailed them the response was pretty unhelpful. I pointed out that the van that delivered the parcel was not refrigerated, however, I did not get a response to that point. I may order again in the winter but I will avoid in the summer.

Dogs food is sold as made from organic chicken, however the owner confirmed that it is free range and not organic. He wrote to me that it doesn't state on their website that the chicken is organic, when in fact it's right there on the first few lines of the product's description. This is fraud as I see it. I can purchase non-organic chicken thighs cheaper than that in a supermarket.

Bought a goose for Christmas dinner after most suppliers had sold out. Was understandably worried about delivery but Springfield assured me and the goose arrived on time, unlike some gifts I'd ordered long before. The flavour of the meat was oustanding and the only reason I haven't given 5-stars is the instructions to cook the goose at 220degC for almost 3hrs. OK - I know they're trying to be safe as ovens vary but my wife had the bird in the oven at this temp for just 2hrs when I spotted it. The meat thermometer read 102degC and it was already drying out - such a shame. If you need to cover yourself, just say a meat thermometer is recommended or insert a sharp probe to check the meat ,etc. - don't advise over-cooking just to be cautious!

Just had the organic chicken supreme breasts delivered , we had two breasts for dinner tonight , bloody delicious must say , you can defo taste the difference , will be ordering again without doubt

Ps delivery was spot on , even got a message that give me a 1 hour time slot 10.00am to 11.00 am , arrived 10.10 am brilliant

I first started buying my Xmas turkey from Springfield a few years ago after a friend recommended them. I was amazed by the flavour, it was superb. I can’t find good quality free range chicken near me, so started buying the chicken two or three years ago. The quality and flavour is excellent and I know the chickens have had a happy life, which is important. I do a bulk order and freeze most of it. This also means that I don’t pay for delivery. It’s an efficient service, I’ve never had any problems with it. Also the packaging does a great job of keeping things cool and fresh. I recently ordered some of the duck too, which is also superb. Staff have been friendly and knowledgeable when I have phoned with any questions.

Superb service. Repeat long standing customer. So Refreshing to get consistently good service as it’s quite rare in my opinion!. Appreciate a free sample cheese to try in my order this time. Also I always buy in bulk for freezer, as it’s very cost effective and also waives delivery fee. Both organic and free range are excellent. Animal welfare is very important to me. I will not buy from supermarkets who can’t be trusted, exception of duchy products Tried the free range chicken box this time, generally have the organic without sausages. The sausages were very tasty indeed, so I’ll be buying the free range box regularly now. Keep up the good work.

Great source for organic and free range chicken and other products. Ordering couldn't be easier on their website and deliveries happen when they say they are due. Items are well packed and supplied with ice packs and super insulated cardboard boxes. My wife and I would thoroughly recommend Springfield Poultry.

I was so happy to find this company/farm.
I would love to be vegan but the next best thing is trying to buy more consciously with regards to welfare.
I recently found out some heartbreaking stuff and stats about farm animals, in particular chicken. And it broke me.
I researched to try to find somewhere I could order from, get delivered and know that the welfare of the animals is there and of utmost importance.
I’ve placed one order so far. And would again.

I got a Christmas box as a treat. I will never eat supermarket chicken again. Organic is delicious.
I got a selection of cheese all delicious especially the blue one.
Pear Chutney, Pickle and Tayberry jam. I never heard of Tayberry but it’s delicious. Blackberry/Raspberry cross I think.
I must make another order soon.

Really good quality organic chicken. The chicken breasts are always big and plump, and have a lot of Flavour and Texture. Good quality great tasting free range chicken sausages also. Staff are helpful and quick to apologise when they’ve made a mistake.

I have eaten organic for the last 30 years and this is the best tasting chicken and turkey out of the lot. The staff are lovely and the service second to none.

Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. Food brilliant, pre sales service brilliant, delivery and packing brilliant. It's a shame delivery is so expensive, but we have decided to save up and do a big shop so delivery is freeeeee, which is.......

So glad we found them and have been using them very happily for years. It such a pleasure to joint their birds, not greasy and the skin has texture. Then eating, oh my, suddenly chicken taste like chicken again, firm flavorsome meat that has lived a life. Clearly they have been looked after with love and it shows. From start to to finish a satisfying experience.

Excellent organic chicken, lovely and tender no additives just chicken! I have bought on line from different companies but this is by far the best. Well prepared chicken breasts, well packaged and arrived fridge cold. Can’t fault it.

Fantastic quality produce. Ordered a Christmas cockerel, amongst other things, it was all delicious. Order arrived very well packed and exactly when it was supposed to. Communication was also excellent. Will definitely be ordering from them again in the future.

Ordered some organic chicken for the first time last week. Sent an email with questions to which I got a quick and friendly response. Most importantly the chicken is another level of quality. Great sized thighs, well boned and great taste. It just doesn't compare to organic supermarket stuff. And it's great to support a small business. Very pleased, we need more farming like this.
