Much better interest rates than any of the NZ banks, even if money is left in the basic on-call account. Never any issues, all works well!

We've been with Squirrel for over five years. The app is user friendly and makes investing straight forward.
You can easily track all investments and see all the details in the app. We also receive regular clearly structured emails that provide progress updates.
Love that you can start off small with what you can spare, make regularly contributions if you like, and it grows from there.
Have peace of mind knowing that the reserve fund is there to buffer any risk. I don't think we've had any defaults across any loans during our time anyway.

Squirrel have made it easier and easier to invest, especially for retail investors. Provides one of the few opportunities for fixed income investments outside of savings accounts or term deposits. Also really like their capital reserve system, feels much safer than it might otherwise.

Communication towards investors is second to none.
Weekly reports might seem to be a bit over the top, but it means that he is always up to date and in the picture.
The high interest on call cash account is the icing on the cake.

Easy to invest with. Squirrel staff know their stuff and have designed an investment vehicle that is safe to use, returns that are real and makes investing a breeze.

Excellent Kiwi company to invest in. Super web site which is informative and easy to navigate. On the odd occasion I have contacted them their service has been immediate and beneficial. As investors we are delighted with the returns, ease of making additional investments and the peace of mind that we have never lost any of our funds over the 4 years. Receiving interest on any "on call" sums shows this business to be progressive... interesting that the major banks still give you nothing on the billions of dollars in their call accounts! Opportunities to invest in personal loans have become lengthy however home and construction opportunities are normally fulfilled within a couple of hours. We have averaged over 7% gross interest... perfectly acceptable and just about risk free.

Back in the day (some years) my wife and I heard John Bolton speaking about Squirrel P2P lending on a promotional tour. What impressed us was John's recommendation to his father to start investing a small amount of dollars and as user confidence increases then increase the size of his investment accordingly.
We followed John's advice and are very happy with our investment returns.
The investment platform requires constant monitoring as borrowers can and do repay their loans at any time. We have found Squirrel's notifications and weekly snapshots a great help as they enable us to reinvest promptly and maintain earnings.
Any queries are always answered promptly and management are clearly keen to introduce platform improvements to make our life easier. They also do some really informative webinars which we always look forward to.

I joined in 2016 and was hesitant about the platform for quite a long time, however with little or no return at the bank, the decision was made. Once you are set up, the platform is extremely user friendly. Funds are really easy to transfer (in and out) with zero fees. The company is well managed and the team ensure everyone is fully informed of updates and changes via email and Webinars. So don't keep your spare change in the bank, invest it in Squirrel with great returns and outstanding service.
Minimum investment is now $100. Investments are covered by reserve funds. The on-call account also has a better rate than banks. Check out the website or give them a call and start investing.

Easy investing with bad debts taken care of through the special fund they have. so net result always accurate.

I have been investing with Squirrel for a number of years. Over that period I have consistently added to the amount I have invested as I gained confidence in the way the platform operates and the security it offers to investors in the way of Reserve Funds and secured loans. The company does regular online updates for investors including commentary on the markets that investors Fund's are in and comparison of Squirrel performance in those markets with market averages. These updates also give the opportunity for investors to submit questions and have them answered although I have always found the expert staff very easy to contact at any time. This is a company that proactively looks after its investors. I am very impressed with the thought that has clearly gone into developing an investor platform that has protection of investor capital front of mind. The results so far for investors speak for themselves - these people know their business and the markets they operate in.
