Very bad experience
I had a bad experience with Squirrel. I asked them for help remortgaging my house. They told me there was plenty of time. I gave them all the documents they asked for, very promptly. Despite this I received no mortgage offers. I chased up regularly and was told ‘we are very close to an offer’, only for nothing to materialise. In the end, the day before my existing mortgage expired, I had to refix with my bank at a higher rate than the one available at the time I asked Squirrel for help. So, because I asked Squirrel for help, I have ended up worse off than I would have been otherwise. I would never use them again.

Squirrel mortgages is Not a free mortgage advisor
Never ever try to take the service of Squirrel mortgages as mortgage advisors as they are doing NOT FREE MORTGAGE ADVISORY service.
They charge fees / penalty if a customer leaves before completing 2+ years. The company will help only for 2 refinancing and then don't take any initiatives. We were not informed of the 2+years when we took their help 2 years before. Now a penalty has been charged as we have changed the bank after completed 2 years. So Squirrel would charge commission for the time when we are not there customers. At times we had to even contact the bank directly as the mortgage broker doesn't respond to us.
PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AT ANY COST or else you are trapped.

Deal directly with the bank and save money and time
The adviser was nice and polite. However, although they write online "Our mortgage brokers work with all the major banks and have access to more options and better interest rates than you'll find if you try and sort it all out by yourself.” This was not my case and in the end I got a mortgage directly with my bank.

Squirrel is a very bad mortgage…
Squirrel is a very bad mortgage service, My humble request to the customers is "do not allow them to do credit check" Because simply they are rejecting the loan though our financial state looks good, I was wondering this moring the way their CSR answered my questions and she was rude too. She have told me they cannot debt consolidate due to high amout. Then Debt consilidation doesn't make any sense!! Please romove Debt consilidation statement from your application.
My credit points got down because of their useless credit check.
Note: I will provide my bank statments and employment proofs for prooving my credibility.
