Stamp Duty Rebate Ltd 

Yet another unsolicited, false marketing scam from the PO Box 387, EX22HA return address.

I have received over a dozen such letters from this return address.

I am a relative expert on taxation and there is no way that I overpaid stamp duty - this company just blanket markets all properties such as mine.

I am aware though of warnings from HMRC and tax professionals that reclaims are routinely accepted when submitted and only checked later when advisory services have long since disappeared with their juicy commission.

I have returned several such letters to them but they just keep on coming.

Simple, straightforward and efficient

I was approached by Akash at Stamp Duty Rebate, who explained that it would be possible to apply to HMRC for a stamp duty refund on a property my company had purchased previously as a probate sale. I guess like the vast majority of the people Akash talks to I was very cynical, but thought with a nil investment what did I have to loose? Less than two months later my company has just received a refund of £6,729.52! I have already discussed my next claim with Akash, so with any luck I shall be writing another review in a couple of months time.

Very dubious at first but the process was actually quite straight forward. The guy's at SDR were on hand to assist if and when required.
