Rang again - "leave a message" after waiting 5 minutes. Left a message this time with a different number in case they were ghosting my normal number on purpose.

We just purchased a new Solar Battery system from Sunboost, a welcome addition to the Solar charging system they installed for us about 6 years ago. This company is excellent in every aspect. From Josh who we first contacted about the battery (who organised an exceptional deal for us), to Ozzy who booked and co-ordinated the installation, through to Omar and his team who did the actual installation; every one of them was absolutely fantastic. If you want anything to do with Solar - go to Sunboost! Highly recommended.

I purchased a solar battery from Sunboost and paid a deposit in December 2025. I was assured in writing that the battery would be installed in February/March 2026 and followed this up on the 25/02 to see if the installation was on track. The following day I received a notification that unfortunately the installation was not going ahead because of a lack of installers and was offered my deposit back. I find this business practice shonky and unprofessional and advise anyone Not to deal with this company.
Having read more reviews about Sunboost, I see that I was not the only one falling for the sales talk. I am now wondering how long it will take to get my deposit back.
I am very disappointed and angry as I might now miss out on the government rebate because of the time factor.

Horrible experinece, was meant to get solar installed in November 2025, kept delaying me by a month at a time until I had enough a found choose to get a refund.

My experience was really horrible, stressful and very frustrating. It started great until it came time for installation. Our first installation date was approximately 3 months after our initial order than they cancelled the day before. This happened 3 more times until we threatened to cancel and then the installers showed up at my house at 4:55 pm on a Friday afternoon and I was without power for 5 hours. We were told after the fisrt 2 hours that we needed to pay an extra $650 right now. At around 10pm they "finished" the installation, it was dark so I couldn't really see their finished work one of the guys asked for my wifi password and that was it. I was not told anything else about the system what so ever, they left. The next morning I inspected their job and it looked like a couple of amateurs put it in. Nothing was level, there were screws snapped off in brackets, cable casing were all cut crooked one of the 2 batteries was dented on top and they were not working until 4 days later I finally had someone call me back and help to get them running. I still don't know if they are working properly. There was no post installation instructions. We chose Sunboost on there reputation and thought wed be getting a good quality service and workmanship unfortunately we did not, I would never recommend Sunboost From Eastern Creek Sydney to anyone. Also my review of them on Google reviews somehow keeps disappearing which is why I’ve put this one on trustpilot, my Google review has photos of the crap workmanship, funny that it keeps disappearing.

Simple DO NOT TRUST SUNBOOST
We ordered a battery 4 months ago and were told that it would be after Christmas for a battery. We waited and phoned several times. We where told that the battery was coming. The last phone call I was told the battery would be installed in two weeks. I just phoned again the day before the battery was due to be installed and was told they would have to install a different battery and It was only going to cost me an additional $4000. The original price was $5000 and now after all this time they want $9000 from me they use to call this bait and switch and that's against the law but Sunboost don't care. Run as fast as you can from SUNBOOST.

So far been dealing with Heston and Daniel from Sunboost for the last over 2 months and installation cancelled 3 times, without any proper justification. Now waiting for the next installation date to be confirmed. So far feel like taken for a ride. Might change to better service if I see some proper progress and installation done before this year. Project ID SB521933. Was contacted today for installation on the 26th December 2025. So have changed it to 5 stars which I might revert to 1 star if same postponement happens again.

THE WORST COMPANY FOR SOLAR AND BATTERY. STAY AWAY IF YOU DON'T WANT TO DEAL WITH A DODGY COMPANY

It is now 4 weeks since sunboost installed our fourth system with them, we put trust in them to install the last one, unfortunately the electrician couldn't complete the inverter installation through lack of parts but said he would be back next week to finish the job. I've been in contact with sunboost without a reply to my plight

We ordered an upgrade to our solar panels and batteries. The install wasn't done correctly and we recently discovered, due to a power loss in the community, that only half the house was properly connected to the batteries. The essentials, (fridges freezers ect) are not connected. Attempts to contact the company have resulted in discovering that the installer has left the country, they haven't a qualified person in North Queensland to correct this issue. We were foolish and paid in full. Attempts to contact the office and have discovered that even their land lines are fake and "the mobile service you are attempting to contact is currently turn off and not available, please call back". This company is suppose to be owned by a retired professional ball player and the entire operation seems to be a front for just getting payments and providing really poor product and customer service.

I wouldn't deal with this company, They are cowboys who sell systems over the phone from India and there is very little support post signing with them.
I eventually decided not to go with them as their subcontracted installer's workmen could not speak any English so there was no communication when they came to do a site inspection - hopeless.
I decided not to go with Sunboost and had difficulty getting my deposit back. I eventually had to threaten them with the Fair Trade ombudsman which they didn't want so they then refunded my deposit.
Not a great experience.

Had the worst experience with this apparent top solar company in Australia. We want to upgrade our current system after purchasing the house 3 years ago, we have been to a local company which estimated the system was prior to 2014 and definitely too small for the average family. When we started the call with sunboost we received a very rude and arrogant, we asked some questions and straight up was referred to one product and it was a system that was at the higher range. When we asked what other options and brands they had on offer it was insisted that was the right one only. During this call we were lied to about information already researched and told possible by local companies. We like to research as much as possible and also get a few quotes and as much information prior to paying cash for something of this cost for our future, we asked to speak to another employee and was refused this, after a number of times asking we were transferred to someone else that just replied to our questions with questions making zero sense.

I honestly do not recommend, if this is their customer prior to purchasing I would hate to see what is received when a problem arises and you need to speak to someone. In my opinion the employees we spoke to were petty and after the biggest sale.

They damaged my house that’s worth 850k I left a review on product review they replied they were going to fix my house but guess what never happened

Installation of solar panels cracked a roof tile and damaged my internal living area roof. Internal roof repair was $2k and Sunboost refused to cover. Repairman commented that this was the 12th job he had worked on in the last 2 years where solar installs damage roof tiles leading to internal roof damage. Buyer beware.

we were incorrect information on panels and inverter, the company that installed the solar system when we asked about connecting a battery later down the track , that the inverter wouldn't take it. they didn't have a lot of anything good to say about the company, but in saying that they cut off the stink pipe from our ensuite andwe were told we had to fix it, they left tiles off the roof and when i sent a message to sunboost over a week ago with a list of complaints they could even bother to reply.

Initially very attentive when pursuing the sale however there are a few strange things that degrades confidence such as: The phone number comes up as possible scam. I looked up the ACN and it looks legit.
The rep said she had been up since 4.15am working because she was calling from India. They where the cheapest quote and I did sign up however, once they got the deposit they stopped returning my calls and the purchaser is expected to fumble online to provide documents etc. Long story but my gut said cancel which I did. However, I am still waiting for a deposit refund
