Bought a pure sinewave inverter that failed after 13 months… just outside the warranty period. The inverter has very little use and when it failed didn’t give any error messages. The fault was intermittent, so harder to diagnose.

Despite giving detailed symptoms of the fault the team didn’t really seem to be interested in helping me to fix this.

I bought a second inverter and said to them if they wanted to they could have the unit to see where it failed on the understanding that they returned it to me (for spares). They said it wouldn’t be good business practice for them to pay for postage. They have no interest in improving their products.

I only bought this inverters second time round because of the space in the back of the van…. It was quite a tight fit.

I was recommended to Shine by a friend but concerned with the start up only late last year. Well all I can say is don’t be set in your ways, give the new guys a try. 1 stop shop from competitive quote to install. They were honest from the start and explained that part of the reason for sign off is to first make the customer happy and second obtain referrals. Can’t argue with that. Plus the silver lining was having a fully certified in house electrical team that actually completed additional work that I would have had to outsource!!!!

So impressive and professional but when the sales director called me up afterwards for the final after care service he simply said without you we can’t continue so it’s everything to us that you are satisfied.

Got expert advice by telephone, then bought the product from the website,(600watt inverter) DHL were at the door the next day by lunchtime..😳..
Not even Amazon are that good…!

Really good company, their service is second to none. Their technical support is amazing also. Whatever I've ordered has arrived on time and very well packaged. Also do really good deals on equipment. 5* all round!

I needed a solar charger monitor for the charger in my caravan which was produced by a well known company. The caravan fitted MPPT chargers and monitors looked identical to those offered by Sunshine Solar whose price was substantially lower. Customer service was excellent and the monitor was delivered three days after placing the order. Fitted and functioning.

Just got back on the boat. Guess what. Everything is dead. And my refund, they scrap something which isn't there's and no response. Court. Stay away...

I bought an inverter from Sunshine Solar a year ago and it was fine until I recently upgraded the electrics in my campervan and added a Roamer lifepo4 460 battery. The capaciters in the inverter wouldn't hold charge and the inverter was drawing 7 times the ampage it should have been pulling on standby. This drained my battery very quickly. It was still under warranty so I sent it back to SS. They finally discovered that it was not compatible with the Roamer battery (another customer had the same issue) and although it was no fault of theirs, they refunded me in full. I dealt with Evan, who was lovely and went above and beyond to help me. I cannot fault the customer service I received from this company and their products are great too...my issue was not their fault.

So far as I can tell, they're the most reliable and helpful company of this type out there, providing excellent customer support and quality products at a low price.

I've spent endless hours online, firstly trying to understand what I actually need / what will work and secondly trying to find a reputable retailer who can supply at a reasonable price, plus offer fair support should there be a problem. I have to say, Sunshine Solar seem to be leagues ahead of everyone else. Evan has been incredibly patient and informative in helping me to upgrade the existing solar system in my van, despite having only spent £40 with them so far! There's a few other larger retailers online, but their reviews, customer support & products all appear to be a bit hit & miss at best.

If in any doubt, check out Sunshine Solar's Facebook page and / or give them a call. Real people who actually care about doing the best job that they can. Respect!

Items delivered but output from panel had + Male plug & - Female plug, the supplied extension leads had the same markings so you couldn't plug Pos to Pos & Neg to Neg, you, would be reversing the marked polarity which didn't seem right.
I phoned to check but tech support treated me like an Idiot!
As a qualified electrician I'm just going to press on now but very disappointed !

Had a problem with my item, it was promptly replaced but unfortunately it did not resolve the issue. The people at Sunshine Solar were very understanding and refunded me immediately. Can’t thank them enough and highly recommend.

Ive purchased a few inverters from this company and they have all work perfectly so far. Unfortunately we did have an issue with the latest one we purchased but the repair was carried out under warranty and returned to us in minimal time. Ive always found them professional and want to go out of their way to help their customers out. With any company mistakes will happen and its all about how a company goes about rectifying those mistakes that separates the good from the bad.

I’ve amended my review, not because I regretted it, I don’t, it was honest and fair but because they called me and not only explained but also apologised and you can’t ask for more than that.

I’ve amended the title from is to was, and again I think that’s fair and honest.

As previously stated, I’ve dealt with them many times, I was appalled by the attitude of the guy I spoke to when I had an issue, but fair play they’ve sorted it and in hindsight I should have hung up, then phoned back and I probably would have got a different person and a different attitude.

This is a comapny of spivs much like all companies nowadays - they do not give a toss about their customers or reputation but just seem to be in this business to make money, \Well there are more direct ways of making money and you dont have to upset customers no end those ways - really, are you bothered about the quality of your products and customer service or not? My experience to date has been abysmal. Absolutely unacceptable.

I placed a small order, but I was very pleased with the quality of the goods and they arrived in a timely manner.

We took a recently purchased sealed packaged Sunshine Solar panel to France specifically for an emergency fitting to our boat to replace older Sunshine Solar panels that appeared to have failed hence no bilge pump protection for the boat.

On opening the package at the boat we fortunately read the label on the rear of the panel before the refit of the panel.
It was half the power of the panels being replaced and not the sale item that I thought I had purchased.We immediately phoned the Sunshine Solar contact number and were surprised by the tone of the language used towards us by the Sunshine Solar representative, a part of which could be construed by a sensitive person as swearing.
However we were pleased that the Sunshine Solar representative stated they would arrange collection of the panel in the UK which we took to mean that Sunshine Solar would pay return postage costs.

We were not unreasonably suspicious concerning the language used and tested the panel in case there was a repetitive problem with the solar panels. The panel turned out to be tested ,in our opinion,as faulty .

We then returned to the UK and we felt obliged to ask for the assistance of PayPal Protection in requesting a refund of our returned solar panel purchase price and when we knew it our postage costs.

I checked the Sunshine Solar sales conditions and noted they would pay £10 towards postage costs.

As a long standing account holder with Sunshine Solar I was pleased to understand that,under the circumstances, they would in fact pay the entire posting costs.

The purchase cost refund has been paid but we are substantially out of pocket due to associated ferry and transportation costs to France.

To conclude a truly unpleasant purchase experience Sunshine Solar now has refused to refund any of our associated UK postage costs .

Excellent service, from the first call to talk through the equipment needed the guys at Sunshine Solar were great. Equipment delivered really quickly and as expected. Needed to phone with a query and they were really helpful answering my questions.

an’t recommend sunshine solar enough., 3kw invererter went wrong, it was 2 years out of the warranty,I phoned for some advise, I think it was Mike who helped, he told us to return it and they would look at it, he phoned me back a few days later to say it had gone wrong and that they would send us a refurbished one with-no charge. A big thank you to the whole team at sunshine solar for the fast and honest service that you provided, we really appreciate it. Thanks again narrowboat tranquillity

I bought a battery charger from this company, they have been very helpful and when needed, the aftersales was exactly what you would expect, no quibble, and proffessional. Highly recomended
