Survivor’s Course is a comprehensive, student-focused, on-demand virtual USMLE prep course for the USMLE Step 1, Step 2 CK , Step 3. This course is an excellent approach in preparing for any of the USMLE challenging exams. The course covers the most important topics in detail, are also well thought-out to the extent of including both Exam Taking skills sections and individualized weekly tutoring opportunities. After completing 6 weeks of this course, and working with a tutor, my NBME score increased by 32 points. Dr. Niak’s Survivor’s Course should definitely be your first choice if you want to improve your ability to do well on USMLE exams.

I took this course for comp and step 1. Honestly, I’ve learned so much, from medical knowledge to test taking skills. This course helped me for my cas exams as well. Dr. Naik does a great job teaching and makes it fun and interactive. The way he teaches makes the information interesting and memorable. His test taking skills sessions were really helpful. Every question that I do, I always do it his way of starting to read the bottom of the vignette first, and then starting from the top. Before I took his course, my average was around 50s and then during his course, my average instantly became high 60s to low 70s. I definitely recommend his course because it helped me improve so much. It made me comfortably pass med 4 compared to the previous semesters, where I was struggling. I just passed step 1 using the techniques that I was taught in this course. I appreciate all the help Dr. Naik provided me which strengthened my knowledge and test taking skills. I am definitely taking him for step 2 and step 3.

Survivor’s Course is genuinely the best prep course you can find. I’ve used all the other resources a medical student can use, but none of them connect the medical knowledge and simplify the information the way Dr. Vijay Naik and the tutors do. I joined the live course for USMLE step preparation, took their guidance, and saw a rapid change in my scores. I highly recommend that if you need help with boards, take the live course!

Dr. Naik truly knows the art of teaching and knows where a student’s weakness his. The course is complete, to the point and very well made. The live lectures are fun and very well taught. I was referred by a friend who struggled to pass the NBME until he got help from Dr. Naik. I was skeptical at first but once I joined, I realized how he passed. Dr. Naik’s course provides structure and teaches exactly what you need to know and how to answer in a short period of time. There is no other course out there that is this short in duration, convenient (all year) with all 3 steps in 1 class. Dr. Naik keeps the class entertaining and keeps everyone on their toes. The Test Taking Skills is awesome as it makes you stay up to date with the readings and questions. You develop a confidence that if you can answer these anxiety provoking USMLE questions in front of random people quickly and correctly, you can surely answer them alone. The tutoring is also awesome because it provides extra help in areas that can’t necessarily be taught easily in a class setting like Biostats. I can’t speak for myself because I haven’t taken the exam yet but my friend who passed the NBME, also passed his STEP 2. I am actually about to take his course again because I want to solidify his teachings further before taking my exam. It feels like a lot of money, but I definitely think it is worth every penny. I highly recommend his course!

Dr.Naik is an amazing mentor. He makes every topic easy for you. I improved my scores with so many points after joining his course. I was not able to handle usmle questions that well before. After his course my way of approach changed completely. This course gave me a lot of confidence in medicine. Dr.Vijay Naik is a genius and knows how different people think and guides them in that way. He has skills to teach medicine any kind of person. I had very bad scores in my step 1 but after his course my scores are so high that even I couldn’t believe my scores. It build a lot of confidence in me.
I recommend survivors course for everyone. Specially who are struggling with their low scores.

Writing this review because Dr. Naik and his course are the reason I’m a resident today. I signed up for Survivor's Course after months of studying for USMLE Step 1. I had already taken Kaplan, had read First Aid and was not improving my NBME scores. I had hit a plateau on my UWorld blocks and was honestly at a point where I didn’t know what else I could do. There was no light at the end of the tunnel until I completed this course. I went from consistent mid 40 - low 50 Qbank scores to high 70s - 80s. Survivor’s course helped me conquer the comprehensive exam I had failed twice and pass USMLE Step 1 on my first attempt.

Dr. Naik’s dynamic style of teaching worked for me. He would come up with “stories” to convey topics which made them relatable but most importantly memorable (I will never forget Hydrogens relationship with Potassium). You will never know it all but you will leave the course understanding the physiology and mechanisms necessary to reason through test questions. This sets the course apart from the rest.

I agree with other reviews that the course can be intense but the material is high yield! This is a career of focus and dedication and you’ll need that discipline to sit for the grueling hours on test day. If you’re in medicine and facing a USMLE exam, this is the course for you! I am a Survivor’s Course alum. I returned for Step 2 and Step 3.

The Survivors Course has been fundamental in guiding me to learn the foundation of medicine and pushing me to achieve my success with the USMLE’s. I began my journey with Dr. Naik prior to seating for the USMLE Step 2CK and my score improved by over 20 points from my USMLE Step 1. This course played a huge role in allowing me to Match at my number one residency program. Dr. Naik and his team truly guided me through the entire process and now I am back taking the USMLE Step 3 course. The style in which Dr. Naik reviews information is not only proven to work, but it also reignites the love of learning! Joining this course was the best decision I could have made, and I would highly recommend taking this course to everyone going through the daunting, nerve-racking task of the USMLE exams.

The best experience ever . The only course where 2 years of your medical school is broken down and put inside your head in a time frame of 6 weeks .
It’s like a mentor you wish you had from day 1 , the only resource you’d ever need for the rest of your medical career.

I was skeptical about how nice reviews the course got , but when I personally sat on the class Dr. Naik blew my mind . The struggle that I had for years was destroyed indefinitely within a couple of hours . The push for success and a holistic approach , Can’t stop saying good about this . You definitely need to do this if you are in medical school wherever in the world .

I was on my last attempt to take me NBME and with the help of Dr. Naik, I passed with flying colors :)

Overall phenomenal course! It feels like a 6 week bootcamp that's phenomenal for anyone who's wanting the fastest possible review of everything that medical school SHOULD have taught! (Kaplan and Becker courses are a joke!) He only teaches you what you need to know for the exam, PERIOD.

I swear after taking this course my friends and I felt like medical school didn't teach us anything!!

Dr. Naik (the teacher of this course) puts so much effort into clarifying your concepts. He will remember which student was weak in which area. Then he will pause in the middle of lecture and randomly pop quiz you to make sure you never forget the subject you were weak in.

I know this may sound like an exaggeration of how good this course is but trust me..it really is that good. We were so frustrated with our medical school because we finally saw how medicine SHOULD be taught. Dr. Naik boosted our knowledge, confidence, test taking speed, everything!

I was terrified of taking the comp/CCSE/CBSE exam, but after using Dr. Naik's guidance I swear I walked into and out of the exam thinking the exam was EASY.

P.S. I saw some reviews talking about how he may say some offensive things but honestly..the things he says are nowhere near as bad as what i'm hearing online. Also, at first it may seem serious/intimidating but you'll quickly see that he has a hilarious sense of humor and he loves to joke around with students so they enjoy the course and remember the material. He would always make us laugh so we actually enjoyed lecture while actually retaining the material. He really puts his heart and soul into teaching his students and making sure they succeed. When there's a student on their last attempt on comp/Step, he spends so much more of his time making sure they get the extra attention to make sure they succeed.

A lot of students like myself go through the first two years of medical school trying to understand medicine as much as we can but end up trying to memorize as much as we can for the tests. By the time step 2 comes along, all the holes and gaps in our knowledge show. I was in pretty dire straights when I came to Dr. Naik for help and with his means of helping you understand the medicine, I was able to achieve my goals and am now an intern in family medicine. This class isn’t for the faint of heart. It’s a wake up call. It’s rigorous. It tests you. You have to want it. But if you put your all in, Dr. Naik will meet you there and help you achieve your goals.

This course was axactly what I needed to succeed on my USMLE step 2 exam. I learnt some very important test taking strategies and saw greater than 25point increase on my score. Highly recommend!

Dr. Naik created an invaluable course for Step 1, 2, 3 and the comprehensive exams. He is the master of test taking skills with an exemplary teaching style to help any kind of student. He is a master of the content for each exam and knows specifically how to direct each kind of student while providing the explanation & information for understanding & mastering concepts. He really gets down to the heart of medicine which untangles misunderstandings and creates confidence with your knowledge base. I truly believe he reduced my test anxiety as well with the skills for test taking strategies and concepts instilled within a succinct & manageable timeframe. The other benefit of the design of this course was that everything is mapped out for you and all you have to do is follow along with the schedule. This was extremely helpful for someone like me who is terrible at making my own study schedules! The materials provided are exactly what you need, and would take an individual student an incredible feat of expertise and hindsight to create for themselves. The tutoring sessions outside of class are a bonus support to be able to refine the test taking strategies. This course is a gift to humanity with an excellent value. What he gives back to the students is reflected in his dedication to our success, and in the price. No matter what quality of medical education you’ve had so far, I consider this the great equalizer. My score increased 30 points after completing the 6 week session. I am renewing the course for Step 2 prep!

Started off with below 200 in the first nbme and got 250 in the main exam.
