Swallow Tail Eaten here several times over the…
Eaten here several times over the years, and it has proved very variable, depending on whom is managing or running the establishment.
On my most recent visit, one had to give one's food order by 1930 at the latest. which didn't bode well.
However the staff were very pleasant and helpful, but the same could not be said for the food, which was not particularly cheap, whereas the food was. It was basically " freezer" food, microwave cooked, or so it seemed. I had a mixed fish platter and salad to share. It was a huge portion of what would have been frozen breaded/deepfried mini fish fingers, prawns, squid rings etc., no fresh or cold fish as I would have expected, and next to no salad, just a finger pinch or so. My friend had vegetarian curry, that also seemed bought, with a bought mini naan bread cooked solid in a microwave. Most of which was left. Most dishes were well over £16.
Again, the staff were very pleasant, but I could not recommend the venue as a place to eat.
