My teenage daughter requested swimming lessons to regain her confidence in the water and improve her technique. Job done. She has visibly improved and enjoys going in the water more. Thank you and we know where to find you for top up lessons.

Edward is kind, patient and encouraging. The method he teaches is smooth and efficient. I feel fantastic after every lesson.

My boys 7 and 5 have only had 3 lessons, but so far so good. I feel they are going to progress much quicker than in group lessons. My 7 year old said “Edward is kind and encouraging and the lessons are fun!” Also the pool is lovely and calm.

Edward is a great teacher and explains things in a way that makes sense. I started trying to Swim as an Adult in November 2022, with very little experience swimming as a child initially taking group lessons but as I was struggling (and close to giving up) I sought out Swim for Life.

I’ve managed to progress so much quicker since taking lessons with Edward and have gone from not being able to finish a lap of the pool to planning for a 70.3 and working on finessing technique very quickly. I would highly recommend to anyone who wants to learn to swim or improve their technique!

As a 40 something non swimmer I was very apprehensive about learning to swim. Edward was patient and reassuring throughout and I now regularly swim showing you are never to old to learn something new - especially with the right teacher.

Edward is a really thoughtful and patient teacher. I echo the words of a previous reviewer in wishing I had discovered him years ago. I'm in my mid-fifties and have discovered a passion for something I long feared. Highly recommended.

Edward has been really easy to deal with and very flexible in accommodating my requirements. He's really patient with my three children and manages them really well in a single lesson despite their different abilities. Would highly recommend

During my 40+ years as a non-swimmer, having had a “near miss” as a child, many people have tried to get me into a pool and swimming but all have failed. Within 3 lessons with Ed I am very close to being able to complete a length with a properly learnt front crawl. Ed’s patience, empathy and self-guided pace of learning is brilliant. The way in which he identifies and explains the different exercises works incredibly well for my way of learning. I have gone from a nervous wreck at even the smell of chlorine to actually looking forward to my next lesson. Cannot praise or thank Ed enough, he’s literally changed my life for the better!

Edward is a fantastic teacher. I’ve gone from not swimming at all and avoiding the water to being able to nearly complete a front crawl and consistently putting my head under the water. Edward is incredibly patient and constantly reassuring. He also doesn’t take the steps too quickly and cares a lot more about building my confidence and feeling natural within the water. Edward is an incredibly patient and understanding swimming teacher-he totally gets my fear of water and in a very gentle way, has helped me improve so much. He makes the lessons good fun too and I’m really pleased with the progress I’m making.

Edward has made a massive difference to not only my confidence in the water but also my technique. In just a couple of sessions he has taken my front crawl from non-existent to now being able to complete full lengths.

Edward is such a talented teacher. He is calm, reassuring and incredibly knowledgeable. I went to him wanting to learn front crawl to train for a triathlon. He took me through the technique step by step and after only a few sessions I have learnt so much. I’m out of the slow lane and up to medium already and I have no doubt he’ll get me to the fast lane.

I was looking for a swimming refresher course and Edward was great, and super patient! He broke down each part of the front crawl stroke and gave me different breathing exercises to help bring everything together. Really happy with how I’m now swimming and have really enjoyed the lessons! Even learnt butterfly too!

I couldn't even manage half a width before my lessons with Edward. But now I’m not thrashing about or gasping for air anymore. Instead, I have a smooth stoke with good breathing technique.
