I was desperate for a car to do the driving test as my theory score was about to expire. Glad I found testdaycarhire. They first sent a deposit link which may make you feel a bit skeptical. But, I got the car and the instructor as expected on my test day; and thankfully I passed. Service is fast and can be done entirely online. I can tell you through this review now that it is a legit service.
Once you are given the instructor number, it's helpful to contact the person (instructor) directly and get a few details of the car they will be bringing, just so you can look up the model and try to familiarise yourself with the car type before the test day.
Tips: the instructor given to you maybe coming from far away and may not familiar with the local test routes, they can only help you to get to know the car and instructed you on the road and few tips for exam as a general rule. Make sure you know your driving, don't rely entirely on your 1 hour practice before the test with a new instructor.

Nothing but positives to say from start to finish, what a great service! I was in a challenging position finding out I couldn’t do my test in my own car (due to being a 2 door coupe) only a few days before my test. I've had several instructors before Shazad. Shazad is the best instructor I've had because whilst driving with him accompanied, he did not put pressure on me. He gently helped me to improve my driving skills. He is a good instructor but he is very humble. I'd like to send my thanks to Shazad for what he did to improve my driving skills in such a very short period of time. I passed my driving test on the 4th of June in York.

Shazad was great in terms of helping me to have short call booking to do my driving test with my car. He made sure I could learn how to use well his car with one hour of practice included. He gave good tips and advice. Very friendly in his approaxh and punctual to be early for my test. He should have waken up by 5:30 am to be ready! I passed my test and he was helpful all the way to the end. Highly recommended.

Fantastic instructor very knowledgeable and puts you at ease. I rang on short notice and he made the process so easy for me, the cars are great to learn in and very professional.

Couldn’t recommend enough if you need an instructor or a last minute test car this is your place to be. Best prices around and he wants the best results for you!

The instructor is very nice and patient. We had 1 hour of practice to get familiar with the vehicle and road. Also did some maneuvers plus helpful tricks on reference point for the hired vehicle. I passed my driving test thanks to the instructor.

Rang 24 hours before my sons test, within 30 minutes I had reserved an instructor & vehicle for my sons test & 3 hours of driving beforehand. The instructor arrived on time & was very polite. My son said the instructor was knowledgeable and calm. My son passed 1st time 😁

Extremely friendly instructor. I couldn't find a single car to hire for my test day... Finally I came across test day car hire and they reserved a car for me instantly.. They gave me a lesson 1 hour before the test and gave me very helpful tips for things like reverse bay and parallel parking.. I would recommend everyone to use this service 100%
