Today's appointment was a yearly health check and vaccination. Roland is a fantastic vet. He examined my cat with great gentleness and attention to detail, and explained to me and my husband what he was looking for as he thoroughly checked her over. I am so glad to have such a friendly and professional vet just down the road from me. I know I can just drop in should I need any advice on my cat, and also to buy the excellent quality cat food they stock.

Roland is very knowledgeable, helpful and caring. He was extremelly patient with my gsd on his first visit.

We valued how Roland took time to hear of our Pet's anecdotal history in order to link his present malaise with historical episodes. He broadened the scope of diagnosis providing rational and reasoned suggestions beyond a balck and white diagnosis recently provided elsewhere. Roland and his team provide all you could need for your pet. They are thorough, caring, and knowledgeable, and give balanced advice. The expertise and facilities are both excellent, and I would have no hesitation recommending this veterinary surgery.

Today I had my first visit at the Avenue Vet for my 5 year old cat (Mandu). I changed vet as my previous vet retired, and I was therefore looking for a closer vet since I moved.
Mandu was welcomed and seen for her yearly "MOT" (vaccine + health check). Roland was very pleasant, and genuinly concerned / interested in Mandu, trying to get to know her.
Comparing to my previous vet, I felt Roland was very thorough, explained clearly all he did, and what he was checking, and the expected result.
He was very gentle and caring, and whilst Mandu hates going to the vet, she then was relaxed enough to stay on the table, even when the comfort of her carrier was on offer! (a first, she usually can't get fast enough in her cage).
I was very satisfied with the explanation, and the step by step given by Roland.

I will definitely return, as overall, I felt that Roland was more thorough than my previous vet (who was really nice and caring too), and I like the fact that they seem to have a "healthier" approach to vaccines (no adjuvant, etc).

Update August 2018:
I have now been a customer of the avenue vet for 2 years.
I can confirm all I said above, and am still very satisfied.
The avenue vet is super professional, clean, and Roland is very friendly and thorough.

The avenue vet also offers free weighing sessions if your pet needs to be followed, which is very nice and handy.

Thankfully, Mandu has not needed any treatment for anything in the last 2 years, so I cannot judge on the quality of treatments / operations (and I hope I won't).
She was only a fatty, and has been on a diet for a while. She is losing weight healthily and steadily following Roland's advice

Mandu has tartar and plaque on her teeth, and Roland has not pushed for a dental treatment, he monitors it everytime Mandu goes there, but while he says he could do it, he insists it is not yet necessary, and does not want to do a procedure if it is not absolutely needed.

This gives me confidence that The avenue Vet is not after what's in my wallet!

They are reasonably priced (not more expensive than anyone else), even for the food they sell at their clinic.

First pup appointment and genuinely fab advice from Becky. Took the time to take me through key points and it was free too!

Can't praise the practise enough! Roland and his team are friendly, professional and very caring. Our cat is very relaxed about visiting and we feel her health is in excellent hands.

Really great service took the time to answer all my questions instead of rush me out the door like other Vets I have been to in the past.

Amazing experience. Never had such a service and care at a vet, Ronald also gave me detailed advise and the first consultation was free. Good thing is they said they will send me a reminder when any vacination etc, is due which is very helpful. My dog was given treats so he remembers the visit as positive. Later on I was shown some products for my dog to chew on and real bones that are coming from freezer which are best for their teeth (obviously when not frozen any more), very educational. Many thanks.

A fantastic surgery, Roland is a first class vet who always has a great wealth of knowlage and is always happy to go that extra mile. All the staff are friendly and the surgery is a nice and fresh. 100% recommend this vets they are perfect!
