There is a lack of transparency regarding who or what company in receipt of payment. What a run-around seeking return of large sum, yet to be returned. Square suspended this brand new merchant account only 20 days old.
Square tells a different story than merchant; account has no other history of transactions. They spoke with Akshit Shadwal, Himalayan musician with heavy accent. Where is it noted person's official affiliation with company? Merchant charged more than quoted price? Details don't match up.
Square flagged a problem and rightfully so with warning scammers start by building trust online and pose as a someone you trust.
Suggest caution to others.

The Square account was created to provide a secure and convenient payment option, and any action taken by Square—such as holding funds or flagging the account—was done solely at their discretion. We were not provided with a detailed explanation for their decision. Also, like I mentioned previously we were with different platform that was Stripe and we moved to square [CHECK THE PREVIOUS REPLY CAREFULLY].
The individual you spoke with, Akshit Shadwal, is affiliated with our team and handles the OPERATIONS.
The payment amount discrepancy appears to be related to how Square processed the transaction, and we are currently working to resolve this with both Square and you directly.
As for the merchant category, Square assigns this based on their internal system—not by our choice.
We take these matters seriously and are committed to resolving any outstanding issues. If your refund has not yet been processed, please contact us directly with the relevant transaction details so we can follow up immediately.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to clarify and resolve this situation.
