I’ve had a really positive experience with this interior design program so far. The modules are thorough and cover everything you actually need to know without feeling overwhelming or filled with unnecessary information. The content is easy to follow, and I especially appreciate the number of photos, examples, and additional resources provided throughout the portal, they make it much easier to understand concepts and apply them to assignments.

One of the biggest highlights for me is how the assignments are structured. They are mostly renovation and project-based, which means you’re not just learning theory, you’re actively building a portfolio as you go. That’s been incredibly valuable and makes the work feel purposeful and aligned with real-world design.

I also really enjoy the flexibility of the program. Being able to work at my own pace has allowed me to feel more relaxed and confident in my learning process, rather than rushed. My tutor has also been amazing! Her feedback is detailed, thoughtful, and encouraging, which has given me a lot of confidence that I’m on the right path with this career.

Another huge plus is the price. The value you get from this course is honestly amazing for what you pay. It feels completely worth it, even if your goal is simply to learn how to design and work on your own home.

If I had to mention a downside, it would be that, like most online programs, you don’t get the same level of in-person interaction or hands-on experience. There’s also less opportunity for spontaneous collaboration with peers. That said, the structure of the program and the support provided still make it a really strong learning experience overall.

I would definitely recommend this program to anyone looking to get into interior design in a flexible, practical, and well-supported way.

I learned so much from this class! It is inexpensive for the amount of knowledge you gain, and I feel very prepared to start my design business after taking it!

The instruction provided by the Interior Design Institute has been incredibly helpful in my first years of interior design work. What I’ve learned so far has been well worth it, and I truly appreciate when my trainer is detail-oriented and gives criticism on how I can improve. I loved learning to create mood boards, and I incorporate these at my job almost every day.

I enrolled in the Interior Design Institute course with high expectations. I am currently halfway through the program, and my experience has been mixed so far.
The course material is clear and structured, but it is entirely reading-based. Personally, I expected more video support or recorded explanations from designers to help reinforce the learning process. While this may not be essential for everyone, it would make the course feel more complete.
I also found the tutor support somewhat limited. While working on the floor plan assignment, I sent two emails for clarification, and the responses I received were brief and did not fully address my questions. I eventually had to rely on friends for help to complete the assignment.
Another challenge is that students without prior experience with design software such as SketchUp may find it difficult to keep up, as there is little technical guidance provided.
That said, the course is not bad. It provides a good foundation and useful structure for beginners, but, in my opinion, it could benefit from more interactive teaching resources and stronger engagement with tutors.
Overall, I still believe the program has value, but it did not fully meet the expectations I had when enrolling.

The experience has been great. I’m really enjoying both the material and the projects. It’s interesting, and the best part is that it’s very hands-on. The program covers a broad spectrum, so I’m learning many different aspects of the industry, which I love.

The more challenging part is the technical side; learning new programs and figuring out how to use them to complete projects. But when it comes to the actual interior design content, it’s been fantastic.

This course fits perfectly with my random schedule! It’s very in depth and my tutor is knowledgeable and thorough with her feedback!

The course is well structured, easy to follow, and flexible to study at your own pace. The assignments are practical and really help apply what you learn.

I would like to make a brief observation regarding the ability to differentiate between concepts. One detrimental aspect of the options is the lack of sufficient explanations, and in some parts, the explanations are inadequate, making it difficult to fully grasp certain concepts.

I hope this will be taken into consideration to improve the quality of educational content.

I appreciated the material in this course. I am self taught, read a lot and worked with other fellow designers and gained a lot of experience in these ways. However, taking this course has given me a lot more confidence, skills, tools and resources that I did not gain on my own. I discovered a lot more through the course. It makes me feel more prepared for the real world. In my opinion, self-control and self-motivation is vital to start and finish this course, a lot of reading is involved. It’s definitely within the reach of the average person to accomplish. Because of time and management I had to purchase another 12 months to finish it. My tutor has been great and responsive. I continue to recommend this course to people

I’ve learned so much by taking courses through the Interior Design Institute. I feel more confident because it has helped me to refine my skills and taught me new ones along the way. The ability to work at my own pace has been very helpful. I’m very pleased with my experience and would highly recommend the course.

Being self paced is ideal for me. When I reach out to my instructors they respond promptly and are always helpful and encouraging. I look forward to investing in advanced courses.

Great program, especially for the cost! I wasn't sure what to expect at the onset but what I've learned so far has been a great value. I'm not sure if I'll be able to parlay this into a career, per say, but I've learned so much that will help me in our own home projects. And the online learning support has been wonderful. I'd add that joining the FB group has also been really helpful & gets you more in touch with other students that may be struggling at the same point you are. Additionally, the modules definitely get more challenging (and time-consuming!!) as you progress, but after each one I've completed, my sense of satisfaction is huge.

I'm taking the Advanced SketchUp module next- can't wait to see how much better this will make my renderings!

I’m currently a student at the Interior Design Institute and just finished Module 10 of 12—and I have to say, I am absolutely loving it! I can’t stress enough how thorough and well-structured the course is. Every module is packed with valuable insights, practical exercises, and clear guidance.

One of the best parts is being able to learn at my own pace. It makes it so much easier to really absorb the material and revisit concepts whenever I need to. This flexibility, combined with the depth of content, makes the learning experience truly enjoyable.

The courses are very Well explained and detailed. The tutors responds quickly and efficiently, and always ready to help. What i like as well is the convenience of learning , being a busy mom, its not easy for me to join live institutes.

I have enjoyed the program. It is comprehensive and prepares for a job in the design world. Aspects of the course need extra time to master especially for a student that is older and went through college without the use of on-line courses or computers for that matter.

The assignment in each module requires the student to apply the information learned. These assignments are often quite hard because it sounds easy while reading it but the application of the concepts is where the learning occurs.
