We had a system installed by Thermohome around 18 months ago and we wanted to add some more batteries and an EPS to the system. Sean and the team were very responsive and came out within the week to install. The install went well, with the only problem being that there was an error in the system - the CT wasn’t working. Thermohome investigated the issue and resolved it all within a couple of weeks, including Sean coming round while on leave. The system is working fine now and is great.

I had solar panels installed by Thermohome Ltd back in March 2025 and couldn't be happier with the experience. From the initial consultation through to the final installation, the team was professional, knowledgeable, and friendly.
What stood out most was the excellent value for money. Thermohome Ltd provided a competitive quote without compromising on quality, and everything was clearly explained with no hidden costs or pressure sales tactics.
The finance option was great for us, as it was swapping one bill that always seemed to be increasing with a static and lower bill that we knew was going to be paid.
The installation was completed efficiently and to a very high standard. The workmanship was excellent, and the team took great care to ensure everything was tidy and working perfectly before they left. The quality of the solar panel system and the attention to detail throughout the process have given me complete confidence in my investment, and the bird mesh included was great to see and not an additional extra like some others.
Overall, I would highly recommend Thermohome Ltd to anyone considering solar panels. Their outstanding customer service, high-quality workmanship, and great value for money made the whole process straightforward and stress-free, so much so I have recommended to neighbours as well as family members who have taken up the offer.
The reason for the delayed review is I wanted to see if the costs actually did stack up over the year as they quoted, and they really do, not just through the summer months but all year round.

Excellent service from start to finish. The team who installed our solar panels were friendly, professional, and completed the work efficiently. Pete and Kamil were particularly helpful throughout the process, making sure we understood our options and helping us secure a great deal. We are very happy with the installation and would highly recommend them.

Knowledgeable staff, great service

Fantastic service from start to finish. The whole process was straightforward, efficient, and completely hassle-free. The quality of the product exceeded my expectations, especially considering the excellent value for money.

Wrecked our roof then walked away. The job was between May & Sep 2024 and we've been trying to get them to rectify the problems ever since. Cannot fault their solar installation, but they then undertook a flat roof and apex roof repair job. The job was subcontracted and the guy they used has really messed it up. It took months to complete with one excuse after another for not turning up. We complained about the nasty end cap replacement which in fairness, they did sort out along with one corner of the flat roof. But we then discovered some horrors inside our loft and have been asking Thermohome to put right since Oct of 2024. The managing director threatened my neighbour, he insulted my wife and even had the cheek to say we paid the roofer, not Thermohome, even though I have paperwork and a bank statement proving the job went through Thermohome and the payments went to Thermohome too. There are dozens of nails protruding into our loft which have missed the roof frame, a huge screw for the solar panel so long it's gone through the frame and into a vacuum packed mattress topper, there's a leak in the corner of the loft, they broke tiles so glued them together, they used off cuts from different jobs for the waterproof membrane, theres different shades of paint used for the flat roof, they haven't put enough paint on the flat roof and my favourite, they havent covered the flat roof properly with fibreglass. The hassle we've had to endure so far to even speak with them or get them to acknowledge their responsibilities just tells me their guarantees for the roof and solar system is not worth the paper it's written on. They even have accredited membership schemes for tradespersons on their web page such as Napit and Trustmark to make customers feel they're trustworthy and a good company, but they are illegally using those trademarks for their roof work. I would think very carefully before you use this company. I'd put photos on here, but I don't see how?

⭐☆☆☆☆ – Avoid Thermohome

Our experience with Thermohome has been nothing short of disappointing from start to finish.

Following installation, we experienced issue after issue, including poor workmanship and outstanding snagging items. Months later, when Thermohome finally attended to address these issues, they discovered that the inverter they had installed was defective and unsafe.

As a result, we were left without the use of our solar system for nearly seven weeks. During this time we lost the benefit of our expected energy savings and export earnings, incurred additional electricity costs, and endured considerable stress and inconvenience. They seem to think this is acceptable.

Communication throughout the entire process has been extremely poor. Emails often went unanswered, and when responses were eventually received, the tone was frequently blunt, dismissive and lacking any empathy. Despite the disruption caused, not a single person at Thermohome has apologised.

Rather than taking responsibility, Thermohome attempted to blame their supplier, EcoFlow. However, our contract is with Thermohome, not EcoFlow. We paid Thermohome over 12K to supply and install a working system, and any disputes between them and their suppliers should not become the customer’s problem.

Having spoken directly with EcoFlow, I was advised that replacement hardware is usually dispatched quickly and that companies regularly installing these systems would normally have access to replacement units or be able to source them promptly. This raises serious questions about how this situation was managed. Shows that they clearly care more about making more money from new sales then supporting existing customers.

To add insult to injury, Thermohome has refused to discuss any form of compensation for:

* Nearly seven weeks without solar generation.
* Lost export income and energy savings.
* Additional electricity costs.
* The significant inconvenience and stress caused.

Instead of acknowledging their failings and working towards a fair resolution, they have shown little accountability and no meaningful customer service. They have in writing told us that they purposely plan on not responding to the regulator who we have raised a formal a complaint against them with. They are RECC members and are supposed to adhere to these obligations but have more or less said they do not intend to.

As a result, we are now pursuing the matter further through the appropriate governing body and dispute resolution process.

Based on our experience, I would strongly advise anyone considering Thermohome not to do so.

In response to their comments, the documents originally provided to us were not sufficient for what our energy provider required. We forwarded the entire handover pack in full and the documentation requested by the energy supplier was not included.

Unfortunately, throughout this process there has been a consistent lack of accountability, with responsibility repeatedly being shifted back onto the customer rather than acknowledged by Thermohome.

There is a clear culture of dishonesty and unaccountability at a director level in this company which is extremely toxic and unethical.

We were left without the use of our solar system for nearly seven weeks before the inverter was finally replaced. EcoFlow have since confirmed that the replacement order was submitted late, which directly contradicts the impression we were given.

Communication has been extremely poor throughout. We found ourselves having to chase updates one or two times every week because emails and requests regularly went unanswered. Looking at other customer reviews, this appears to be a recurring issue rather than an isolated experience.

Overall, our experience has been one of poor communication, delays, lack of accountability and disappointing customer service. If you have genuine issues be prepared to be met with a highly defensive and unhelpful stance.

I would not recommend this company at all.
Initially I contacted Pete Done, who is a shareholder/Director and turns out is semi retired.
Sean Wilkinson, Director, came to my property in Kingsbridge and sold me a 10 panel, 2 battery and EV for £10.500 package in March 26 and I paid the deposit.
A surveyor came round the next day, March 14th and it was acknowledged that one of the roofs was asbestos, and there would be no problem with any of the wiring with regard to my imminent extension.
On the day of installation, 2nd April, my builder/neighbour was on site and saw that the proposed wiring would be across the courtyard and would cause unnecessary expense when the impending work re my extension was carried out and this therefore started an issue. The solar panel fitters also refused to work on the old asbestos roof. The fitters then left leaving me with 7 panels fitted, the batteries in an out building and the EV inside the outhouse ( not accessible to my car) and therefore utterly useless.
After much chasing a new plan was agreed directly with the original
Electricians who are contracted, with regards to the electrics on the 12th of May. They went across my loft and put a big unattractive fuse box in my lounge. Then said they needed to set up my App. Something I had not been told about and I do not yet have WiFi. That has now been arranged for the 19th June. Sean has been rude and unsympathetic blaming my builder all along. Since then, again in spite of much chasing with the office, Peter and Sean and promises of emails, and calls back, nothing has been heard or resolved and my solar panels are still not producing me electricity and the scaffolding blocks my exit and entry to my property.
Sean is unprofessional, rude and insulting and now Pete Done does not reply to messages.
Sean Wilkinson now says he is sending a health and safety inspector to inspect my roof which clearly should have happened, if necessary, when the surveyor, Wayne, came.
So I am out of pocket on so many levels. Probably have no guarantee and no solar panels and scaffolding causing health and safety issues right outside my door which I knock my head on as do all the delivery people.
If this work is not completed by the end of this month I will have no option but to file a claim at Court.

Fantastic service from start to finish. Sean - company owner was very professional, informative and not pushy at all, like a lot of sales men. Products are top quality and installation was easy and hassel free. Price extremely competitive, and much cheaper than other companies I looked into. All staff involved were very professional, friendly and knowledgable. I would highly recommend.

Absolutely awful service, if I could give less stars I would. They failed to complete the install on the agreed day as did not bring all the equipment with them. Then on returning to complete the work installed the remaining panels in the wrong location and had to be chased to fix this and then broke several roof tiles in the process. They promised to fix these within a week but had to be continuously chased and had several no shows from agreed fixing dates after having to take time off work waiting in for them. It took them over 4 months to come back and fix the roof in which time we had to deal with rain leaking in and causing further mess and damage. Their customer service is horrendous as they do not reply or seem to care once they have been paid.

I have never wrote any negative reviews before, but waiting over 10 weeks for a refund is unacceptable.

I had to cancel the installation due to unforeseen circumstances and accepted that I will have to pay any costs that has occurred. We agreed the costs on the 20th Feb and since then, I just been given empty promises on when I'll receive it. Once the date it was promised had past, all I get told is that they'll chase it up and then nothing happens. Now it, feels like I'm just being ignored now.

I have been more than patient, no one should ever wait this long and I feel like I'm being punish, just because it didn't go their way. They were really quick at getting the order across, through constant calls and emails. But if any little inconveniences go their way, they'll just drag their heels.

I was hoping to avoid writing a negative feedback, but I hope this will finally get it resolved.

Great service. Pete explained everything I needed and what the installation process would entail. The scaffolding was put up the day before and the installation only took a day. All of the installers knew their stuff and were polite and very helpful when I asked questions. Very pleased with both the quality of the product and the installation. Highly recommended.

I have had solar panels fitted. No bird netting has been fitted around the solar panels. I was to receive a phone call from the director to which did not happen. Birds are gathering around the panels and making a mess on the garden patio. I was told the netting was not in the price for the work done and would be additional cost. I’m not happy with a half job done. I would not recommend them to any one. And not receiving a phone call is not good customer service.

Overall we are very very impressed with the solar and battery system we have had installed by Thermohome. The financial benefits were instant.
Pete who came to our home was great, talked us through everything, happy to spend as much time as we needed for our questions. The installation was done quickly and the guys that did the installation were all very lovely and committed to making sure we were up and running effortlessly. Customer service has been instant and every query we’ve had followed through immediately. Highly recommended.

We found the people we dealt with knowledgeable and friendly .and the quote we had was very competitive.
The team who carried out the installation were very good and we are very happy with the end result.

I've recently had a 10kw array with 22 panels and a 20kw Canadian Solar ep cube stack with integrated inverter fitted. Very pleased with both the products and the install. The installation team did a great job and all was installed in a day. Highly recommended...
