Simone put together the most incredible 3 day vacation for my wife and I. It all started with a few video calls to go over exactly the type of experience we were hoping to have. Simone took our wants and transformed them into unforgettable memories! From the moment we arrived he meet us at the airport and every detail was taken care of! We visited with families who run hotels, wineries and cheese making businesses. We visited small towns and had personal encounters with locals that happened organically. These are some of the most precious memories and that is due to the beautiful people of Sardinia. I can’t say enough about Simone. From the moment we meet we felt comfortable and knew we were in good hands. His ability to plan custom experiences is excellent. I highly recommend Simone and can’t wait to visit again.

We had a week trip with Simone, based around the lovely little town of Orosei. Prior to our holiday we connected together for Simone to ask us about the types of things we like to do as a family, he did not disappoint. Together with our 2 teenage boys we all enjoyed bike trips, a trip to a museum, beautiful grottos, beaches galore and my 2 highlights: a lovely meal at a local agricultural farm to fork restaurant and a boat trip to see spectacular beaches including Cala Galoritze.
Simone is so very knowledgeable about the region, its history, the food, the locals, the great wine - we learnt so much.
He is so charismatic, enthusiastic and generally an alround nice guy 😊
Oh and he is a good chef too!

I had a fantastic travel consultation with Simone Scalas before my Sardinia trip, and it immediately energized my planning process. Even in the early stages, Simone helped cut through the overwhelm that often comes with organizing a big trip and brought clarity to both the big picture and the details that matter most.

What stood out most was how closely Simone paid attention to what I had shared before our call. Simone was recommended to us by a friend who had just done a trip with him. We had left our honeymoon planning to the last minute and contacted Simone with very few expectations that he would be able to help with such short notice. Despite being busy preparing for a series of more organised clients who were due to begin his tour in the upcoming days, he replied immediately to set up a video call during which he spent two hours giving us a full itinerary of what we should do when visiting Sardinia.
He has been amazingly helpful even though busy with other clients during our trip. He has touched base regularly and made sure that we're doing okay. I can't recommend him highly enough you should definitely book a trip with Simone. We visited places, ate in restaurants, and saw sites we would never have experienced without his advice.

By far the best travel guide you can ask for. Not only was Simone extremely knowledgeable he was an absolute pleasure to hang out with we had a blast exploring the city drinking wine and eating some of the most delicious food we've ever had in our lives. I would give Simone 100 stars if I could he was absolutely fantastic

We used Simone for a 2 week tour in September and can not say enough good about him. He listened careful to my wife and I about what we wanted to do and most important not do and the types of activities we wanted to experience (ancient history to when Sardinia became part of Italy, cooking class, museums, and modern post WW-II history etc). Simone even had us have a day with a PhD archeologist. It was amazing. We chosen to do every recommendation and it was all amazing! Likely our best over 40 overseas vacations!!

I was in Sardinia with Simone with my two children, and Simone treated us as if we were his family taking care of everything and making our days special starting from every single simple moment! I hope we'll meet again!

Simone made our trip to Sardinia extremely memorable. We have traveled all around Europe and have used different operators over the years as well as traveled on our own. When it comes to Sardinia, you definitely want Simone and his connections, your trip will be all that much better for it.

I had a video conference with him to help discuss our itinerary and he was so helpful and passionate about his country. Our conversations were so comfortable so by the time I met him I felt like I was getting together with an old friend. He took such good care of my family. Simone is truly the absolute best tour guide!

My husband and I first became interested in Sardinia because we wanted to visit one of the world’s Blue Zones. Since we were planning a two-week holiday, we needed guidance on where to stay, what to do, and how to make the most of our time on the island. We found Simone online and scheduled a Zoom meeting with him — and from the very beginning, he was incredibly generous with his time, knowledge, and recommendations.

Simone helped us with everything from hotel accommodations and restaurants to unique excursions and local experiences. Every suggestion he made was thoughtful, personal, and absolutely wonderful. Thanks to him, our trip truly turned to gold.

While Sardinia is filled with beautiful places and incredible food, what made our experience so unforgettable was how we felt throughout the journey — and how we felt when we left. That was because of Simone. Spending time with him felt like being with family.

We especially loved our full-day walking tour in Cagliari. Simone shared not only his deep knowledge of Sardinia, but also his heart. He welcomed our many personal questions and gave us such a meaningful glimpse into life on the island from the perspective of someone who was born and raised there and is deeply passionate about its culture, history, and people.

As our time in Cagliari came to an end, we were genuinely sad to say goodbye. Incredibly, Simone kindly met us again the very next evening for an aperitivo, where we enjoyed another beautiful conversation before continuing on to our next destination.

Throughout our entire two-week trip, Simone stayed in touch to make sure our questions were answered and that we were having a wonderful experience. His care and attention made us feel supported every step of the way.

Not a week has gone by since our return that we have not talked about Sardinia. When we began planning our 2026 summer holiday, there was no question where we wanted to go. Sardinia has been calling our name ever since we left, and we cannot wait to return.

In true Simone fashion, we recently had another wonderful virtual meeting with him to map out our 2026 vacation. He reminded us that while it is impossible to see and do everything, Sardinia offers a magical experience no matter which towns you visit — because every place on the island is special in its own way.

Simone planned the trip of a lifetime in Sardinia for my husband and I. Everything he suggested was first class, recommendations for excursions, restaurants and even sights along the way! We were fortunate enough to have booked a guided food tour with Simone, his passion for Sardinia, food and wine were amazing. He introduced us to many specialties of Sardinia and the history of this beautiful island. We spent two wonderful days with Simone sightseeing in Sardinia. From start to finish, he was fantastic. He gave us great advice before we arrived and, even at the last minute, modified the trip to accommodate our schedule and needs. He showed us the 'greatest hits' and excels at finding meals in places that are not at all crowded. He also got us to archeological sites and museums at off-peak hours so we mostly avoided the crowds. We're traveling for a long time and had to do chores such as go to the doctor and get a haircut, buy some essentials and he even helped us with those things even though it meant getting up ridiculously early. He told us about restaurants near our isolated resort hotel and found a cab driver to take us. I am telling all our friends to call Simone. He has a huge heart, adores Sardinia and his time and attention are worth every penny.
