It is unfortunate to hear we did not meet your expectations to warrant a higher star review and you haven’t reached out to us.
On checking your order i can see you ordered a traditional sweet mix 100g.
The type of sweet ordered requires a plastic bag due to the type of sweet as they are notorious for sticking to paper bags, so we use biodegradable bags when these are ordered on their own.
We are always trying to reduce waste and excess packaging. Your order was placed in a C5 postal box this being the smallest packaging option we have and is fully recyclable.
For around a month now we have been trialing omitting packing slips from orders that contain single items as we dont believe they are needed due to the simplicity of fulfilling the order and virtually no risk of omitting other parts of a customers order, this is again to help us reduce unwarranted waste.
When items have been damaged by our courier partners we ask our customers to send us photographs as we are able to raise this with the courier. Unfortunately as this has not been done we are not able to help much regarding your comments about broken sweets.

Received order in two separate delivery’s to keep the bottles safe, one got damaged in transport so had a new delivery sent out however it was missing an item and one item was different to what I ordered as well as the plastic seal being broken and covered in what I would describe as food

As a small business we welcome all feedback as this is how we improve on our service. It also means we are able to take action quickly where needed.
On this instance we were informed our courier partner had damaged one of your parcels (as you mentioned we had split this in two to protect the contents) this was before you had even received your delivery, and we took swift action contacting you immediately to see how you would like to proceed, rather than expecting you to go out your way to get in touch with us, and also minimising any delay to you receiving your goods, this is the level of service you get when you shop with a small business, every customer counts, no matter how often or little they do business with us.
So again I would like to apologise that our courier partner damaged one of the parcels before you received it.
We have waited to reply via trustpilot as we of course reached out to you via email (as we did regarding your damaged order, however have not had a reply)
Errors can and do unfortunately happen but what matters is how we deal with these errors and we always try make things right when we haven’t left you with a smile on your face, as that’s how we like to do business and as mentioned previously every one of our customers matter to us.
Now I will try and address your concerns you have mentioned in your review.
You mentioned we left a product out and also have sent the wrong product, if that is the case we apologise and have tried to fix this by reaching out, but again have had no response, so we are not able to do so.
You mention that a seal is broken, depending on the product you refer to I am not able to comment further however some products do not have a plastic seal and have an airtight bottle seal and top should not be able to be pressed down (if the top is raised and can be depressed means the airtight seal has been compromised) All our products come from reputable wholesalers and are inspected upon delivery, very thoroughly may I add.
You mention a product is covered in what you would describe as food, as mentioned previously we inspect all deliveries we receive from our wholesale partners to ensure they are as they should be. From the products in your order, these as kept in a separate location on our premises to our Pick N Mix goodies.
As your order contained fragile products we included our eco 100% biodegradable and compostable void fill - this offers a high level of shock protection to prevent items becoming damaged on transit, they are odourless and very lightweight and most importantly are kinder to the environment than more traditional packing protection materials. As a small business we are always looking at ways to reduce our carbon footprint and this product is the perfect match to protect our customers goodies to ensure they arrive safely. It is possible what you describe could be smaller pieces of our void fill, as this is 100% compostable and is kinder to the environment it can come apart into smaller pieces, added with possible condensation from drinks bottles this would be the perfect opportunity for this to stick.
As we had contacted you before you received your original delivery and were able to reply to us we are sorry you were not able to get in touch with us if you did have issues with your replacement order for whatever reason.
We hope we can be of service to you in the future.

I’m sorry to see that you feel our service has been worthy of only a 2 star rating.
Whilst we have delivered our normal 5 star service we do feel that your 2 star rating is unjust and doesn’t reflect our service on the occasion you have ordered and entered the wrong delivery address details and proceeded to confirm these details at multiple points during checkout and order confirmation.
The order has been fulfilled and delivered as per your order details that you inputted.
Whilst our team have tried to help resolve this you left it more than 7 days after dispatch before notifying us that you had put in the incorrect delivery address what has meant we have had no time or opportunity to try and recall your order.
As a retailer we are responsible to make sure your goods are delivered as per your requirements.
As I’m sure you can understand from our prospective as a business we receive multiple gift order requests every day to be shipped to the intended recipients what are successfully delivered and from our stance this may have been the same on this occasion, where you have requested the order to clearly be sent to an address where it has now been delivered to, to then claim you have not received your order.
As with most businesses we cannot be held responsible for fulfilling your order to your exact requirements. You first contacted us to advise you hadn’t received your order, which we helped you with - for you to advise that you had supplied incorrect delivery details which would had been confirmed by you multiple times during the checkout process and were recapped in your order confirmation, this was also reconfirmed on the dispatch confirmation email, and at no point did you notice your error.
You advised us over 7 days after dispatch we had no way of recalling the order as it had already been received by the intended recipient who’s delivery details you had supplied.
As per our communication if the recipient who you requested your order be sent to returns the order, we would happily replace the order at no extra charge.
We are sorry that you feel that your error reflects a 2 star rating for our business.
