This company always excel. Under promise and over achieve with great quality plants, service, information and delivery. Wish i had more space for more clematis! They're my go to company.

I had to order about 10 clematis and climbers for a new garden, so I seriously 'shopped around' and bought from several different suppliers.
Although they are more expensive by about a third than many of the other suppliers, the plants from Thorncroft were far and away superior to any of the others I received. Strong, healthy and well grown plants which were incredibly well packaged to keep them utterly safe and undamaged during shipment. I now wish that I had taken the plunge and bought all the plants from Thorncroft as they are definitely worth the extra cost!

Arrived in excellent condition.
The difference between Thorncroft and garden centre plants is so obvious when they atrrive. Plants are stronger bulkier and so robust. Will continue to source from here

From order to delivery I was always kept up to date which is unusual most company’s wait for you to call them with an update. Just received plant today and looks very healthy, I will probably get it planted this weekend , so would I recommend Thorncroft yes without hesitation

Always packaged carefully and delivery is always speedy. Also lots of info on how to look after your new purchase which I find really useful.

The Thorncroft website is one of the best I have ever used. The amount of information about clematis is vast, but it is arranged to make it very easy to identify which clematis will be appropriate for your garden. It all starts from the pruning groups and these are explained very clearly. Once you see which pruning group you need you can start to select colour, size, aspect, suitability for containers.....Limiting your choice is the only problem. The plants are carefully packed in strong boxes, but you may need a sharp stanley knife to open it.

Absolutely fantastic service! We needed a very quick turnaround as our order was for a gift and Thorncroft’s delivery was super quick. The lady on the phone was lovely and the clematis are beautiful. I looked into several online stores and the selection and prices were excellent. Couldn’t fault them!

Lovely plants arrived promptly but far too many emails chronicling every step of the delivery process. 1 or 2 would have done!

I ordered a clematis plant. It arrived safely on time, well packed and in excellent condition, with clear instructions for planting and pruning. The plant was well supported with a cane and showed no damage from its journey to me. There were excellent roots just ready for planting. Altogether a very pleasing purchase. I hope to deal with this company again when I next need any plants.

WE have used Thorncroft now on a number of occasions, as we have upgraded our new (we moved in 4 years ago) garden here in Herefordshire.

The garden had been nicely laid out but devoid of nearly anything flowering, and thus, not exactly a bee heaven. We have ripped out the flowerless aliens and added masses of bee-friendly plants.

Clematis are always a must-have, for adding the third dimension of flowering interest, and the vast range offered by Thorncroft is impressive and beguiling. Their website is full, descriptive and easy to navigate, their site a doddle for ordering.

Mostly, we drive and collect; once it was posted. Both systems work well, the small team are super-efficient and very friendly. They are happy to provide advice, and will happily go the extra mile for keen clematis fans. And the plants are beautifully grown and immaculate. The resultant displays have been a winner with both ourselves and the bees!

Recent bought Clematis Nelly Moser and when it arrived it looked so healthy. It has started to form flower heads and looks great in the pot at the front of the house. Thank you and thank you for the information leaflet provided that was very helpful.
