The website explicitly states free shipping on all US orders over $120, so I placed an order for two pairs of shirts totaling $126. That should have qualified—no confusion, no fine print. Yet at checkout, they still tried to charge me $42 for shipping, which immediately felt wrong. I reached out for clarification, and after a long wait, they finally responded with a completely different policy: they “only cover the first $25 of shipping.”

Not only is this nowhere disclosed on their website, but they also hide the actual shipping cost entirely. Based on their own explanation, the real shipping cost would have been $67, which is outrageous and more expensive than one of the shorts themselves. It’s unbelievable that a company would advertise “free shipping” and then bury a rule like this—one they don’t even bother to mention anywhere.

I’m extremely disappointed with how misleading this experience was. The advertising is flat-out false, the communication was slow and dismissive, and the customer service showed zero accountability. It’s frustrating, unprofessional, and honestly makes me question why they think customers would tolerate this kind of behavior.

I'll leave public here the same feedback that I gave when contacting the support both via Instagram DM and email.

I was disappointed with the purchasing experience as an EU customer.

After placing my order, I was surprised to discover that I still had to pay an additional €27.90 in VAT upon delivery, representing 35.8% of the total purchase amount. I have bought from UK-based online stores before and was never charged VAT at delivery, as many stores handle this through IOSS or make the tax implications very clear during checkout.

My main concern is not the existence of VAT itself, but the lack of transparency during the purchasing process.

Two things made the experience poor for me:

• Taxes being handled by the final customer rather than by the store through systems such as IOSS
• Information about taxes not being clearly presented during the checkout process

In my opinion, it would be much more transparent if the checkout clearly stated messages such as: "VAT/taxes not included", "Import duties and taxes may apply", or "Customer responsible for customs/VAT".

I have the same concern regarding the returns policy, which appears to be available only on a separate page rather than clearly highlighted during the buying process.

I believe international customers, especially those in the EU, would benefit from clearer communication before completing their purchase.

Terrible customer service I contacted them five times about where’s my order and just get the same response so you can see it an automatic message. still haven’t received my order and it’s been a month

The 2 shorts I ordered are amaizing. Love them.

Shocking.
Bought 2 tshirts for £70 and expected good quality products. I personally think they are very poor quality and I tried to get a refund.
No refund possible apparently as it states in the T&C's which i missed.
This is the only clothing company that I know of, that you cant return your items if you are not happy with them.
I thought Mike would be better than that. That's a very poor policy.

Had to pay 22€ on shipping costs, but then an additional 80€ on import taxes on just 3 items. They say that it isn’t their fault but if they split up your order in several packages from different warehouses it is. After nearly 2 weeks of waiting i haven’t even received my order yet . 300€ for just a sweater, swimshort and a tank top :’)

Edit: received the shipments the quality of the products is very good. Shame the cost is soo high due to these damn imports and VAT

Really poor company. Still haven’t received my order! I want a refund! It’s been over a month !

I ordered from this company under the assumption that they operated like any reputable business—offering refunds if items didn’t fit. However, that was not the case. Instead, they use deceptive tactics, luring customers in only for them to realize after purchasing that getting a refund is nearly impossible.

This is, without a doubt, the worst company I’ve ever purchased from.

Given the overwhelming number of negative reviews, it’s clear I’m not alone in my frustration. I was once a big supporter of Mike Thurston and everything he did, but after this terrible experience, I strongly advise others to avoid this clothing brand if they don’t want to go through the same stress and frustration.

I’ve even had to unfollow Mike Thurston on all platforms—I can’t support someone associated with such unethical business practices.

NO SENSIBLE PERSON WOULD PURCHASE FROM A CLOTHING STORE IF THERE WERE A CLEAR SIGN STATING "PLEASE NOTE ITEMS ARE NON REFUNDABLE!!!

INSTEAD THIS COMPANY HIDES THAT NOTE APPERENTLY!!!

Brilliant products, purchased 2 items of clothing a pair of black bottoms and a grey ¼ Zip both fit really well and look great especially the top which you can tell is made from quality materials. Only thing I would say is the bottoms do have quite a lot of bits stick to them but other than also excellent quality. Highly recommend keep up the great work Mike.

If you order an item and it’s print on demand there is no way to exchange it or refund it, they don’t accept the returns apparently. It took ages for someone to get back to me and even then they advised me that nothing can be done. I didn’t even ask for a refund, the size was too big and I wanted to return it and buy a smaller one! The whole experience was absolutely terrible, I will never order from them again

Be careful what you order Because they refuse exchange or refund money if items doesn't fit to you.
I send them to emails but they still keeps saying they can't refund or exhange items.
I purchased at least 15items from them in last years and I was loyal custumer but NEVER ORDER ANYTHING ANYMORE.

Delivery on clothing is terrible. It's been 2 weeks and I'm still waiting. No emails from customer service to apologise for the delay or explain the hold-up!

Very bad quality (swim shorts) and even worse customer service by doing small refund and saying “it might be damaged doesn’t mean you can not wear them”. But now I understand how people like Mike can live in places like Dubai: scamming people by selling garbage. Hope you are proud of yourselfs!

UPDATE 22/7. Next contact with customer support I was able to get a refund. Much appreciated. Good app, if you gonna use it.

I am disappointed with the customer service I received. My subscription plan was automatically renewed (no reminder just a info in T&C)

When I reached out to their customer service for assistance, I was met with unhelpful respons. They refused to provide a refund. Even if I requested it 15 minutes after payment

I don’t get all the bad reviews. Ordered 4 items over the last 18 months. Two t-shirts, swim trunks, and a 1/4 zip. Took a little longer to get to me, but I’m in the US. Also ordered a size bigger, but everything I order from Europe runs small. Love the fit, quality is good, and I’m happy. Will order more in the future.

This shipping policy is not good. Had to pay an extra €16 to import it in my country (Netherlands). I have ordered clothing from the UK before and never experienced this before, since these costs were already taking care of by the retailer. It feels like this company wants to put in the minimum effort, with the maximum result. This is not how you build a trustable brand where people will come back.. Eventually paying €70 for a basic T-shirt is way out of proportion.

Thrst is a poor company BUYER BE WARNED ⚠️ . Bought a active wear mens signature vest . The item arrived and was to big . Contacted customer service , They explained we don't offer exchange or refund . Was told to go and read the small print . This company hides behinds small print . You have no rights even though its was bought on line . Rude customer services responses , i explained its not worn has all lables on item . They are not interested. please spend your money on a company that cares and you can trust . Mike Thurstons and his company don't care once they have your money . I have tried for months to get them to help .
