Im starting to feel that this competition is becoming unfair. There seem to be the same winners repeatedly, and it gives the impression that others don’t really have a fair chance. It also appears that some participants are buying
a large number of tickets, which further reduces the chances for everyone else. I believe this takes away from the spirit of the competition and makes it less enjoyable and less inclusive for others taking part.

Hi Karl, firstly, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I am genuinely concerned your experience with us has left you feeling like things aren’t fair. That’s the last thing we want, as trust and transparency are the cornerstones of our business at all times.
A couple of things that might help clarify:
* Every entry has the same chance per ticket, and winners are selected at random from the full pool of valid entries for that competition. There’s no “preferred” customer list and no manual picking, this is a mandatory part of the code of conduct we operate within.
* You can sometimes see repeat winners simply because some people enter more regularly (and/or across lots of competitions). With enough entries over time, repeats can and do happen, but we completely understand how that can look from the outside.
* We do have limits in place to stop any one person dominating a draw (including caps on entries per person per competition), and we monitor for anything that doesn’t look right. We never run any competition that allow customers to purchase more than 10% of the total available tickets, and the % ranges between 5%-10%, there is no mandatory amount, this is simply best practice to ensure it is fair for everyone.
* We also design our competitions to be inclusive across different budgets and preferences, from low-cost, small total-ticket draws (with fewer tickets available overall) to higher-value prizes with a range of ticket prices. The odds are always based on the number of tickets in that specific draw; ticket price can vary because the total ticket volume varies. We put a lot of work in every day, to keep a healthy mix so there’s something for everyone.
That said, perception matters as much as process and if you’re feeling uncomfortable, we want to take it seriously and make sure you feel confident entering.
If you’re open to it, could you please contact us directly with:
* the competition(s) you’re referring to, and
* any specific examples that stood out (even just dates or prize names)
I would like to review it with you and address your concerns directly, exactly how the draws work for those competitions, and what safeguards were in place.

What more can you ask from a site?
I have been on Tide Together for about four months, so not quite an OG.
I've had several amazing wins.
When you win a main prize rather than a "Congratualtions you've won" email, you get called by one of the Tide Together Team, I think this is brilliant as it makes it a lot more personal.
The prizes on offer are excellent too ranging from site credit to top of the range rods, reels and tackle.
It's been said and I heartily agree, Tide Together is run by anglers with anglers in mind as well as the wider community, supporting charities and organisations linked to angling.
They have sections on their social media offering, tactics, tips and guidance as well as community meets.
As my daughter once said when I wasn't sure of something.... "You'll never know unless you give it a go"

The Best Competition Site on the Internet
I can't get enough of Tide Together Comps.
The staff have managed the impossible by being professional, enthusiastic, helpful and knowledgeable while at the same time being friendly and fun. And all while asking us customers what we would like to see offered up as prizes and actually listening to what we say and providing for us.
Of all the competition sites I've used, Tide is the only one that has got it right. The tickets are priced fairly and there aren't too many. I'm sick of other sites pushing tickets for stupidly low prices like 8, 5, 3 or even 1 pence but then selling 230,000 or more. It insults our intelligence by trying to fool us into thinking we're getting a bargain. Tide doesn't do that and after having a long phone conversation with Steve, the MD, a couple of months ago, he said it will never happen, and I actually believe him.
I also love that they support small, independent organisations, especially Reel Minds because their mission is very close to my heart having struggled with mental health problems beginning when I was a very young child growing up in the 70s. I wish I'd had something like Reel Minds available to me back then as discovering fishing changed my life for the better. I now have an escape plan when things get difficult.

I really appreciate your kind words about the team as well. I may have had the phone call with you, but what you’ve described is a real team effort. Everyone involved in Tide Together cares deeply about doing things the right way, looking after our customers properly, and building something people can trust and enjoy being part of. We provide a very wide variety or competitions from 99p upwards every single day. we always ary the price point to vary the total ticket numbers to suite everyone's budget. the most important point to note is that regardless of ticket volume and price, unlike many of the other sites we dont offer ticket prices lower than 99p as this does not make it fair for any postal entries to accommodate the cost of a first class stamp (89p). We also rarely have our odd over 2 X the total prize value of any competition. On the subject of giving back, your feedback is a little concerning as a proportion of every single ticket we sell gets attributed to a one of our three community pillars, coastal community projects, access to angling and conservation. If you check our site now we are running a dedicated angling trust team england shore competition where all of the proceeds will be going to the team ( less our merchant fees), we sponsored a junior development session in wales with reel minds on the 14th March and have also recently launched a competition supporting rehoming rods, run by Jason Scott, who provides full starter set ups to children under the age of 16. This is just a small example of the work we do every day to support our sea fishing community and giving back is at the core of everything we do. We are sorry you felt the need to rate us with 1 star, if you look at the other independent ratings on trustpilot and investigate our social proof activity on our social channels, email subscribers, you may see that.
