Great stuff
Friendly and knowledgeable service. Timber really good quality, straight and square and all within a millimetre of my desired dimensions. I’m a bit of a Luddite so being able to pick up the phone and talk things through is priceless to me. Thanks

Carpenter, great boards.
New Carpenter here, i needed high quality poplar wood for shutter in my house.
Fantastic quality, 90-95% straight unblemished wood, perfectly cut, good corners, well packaged.
Cons: wasn't sure of delivery times until the product was on its way, I need 8 perfectly straight boards out of 20 delivered in 3 packs, 1st pack of 6 I only had 1 perfectly straight board.
Projects going very well and I'd be happy to order poplar from these people again.
Excellent product, a seasoned Carpenter might not blink at slightly curved panels.

Welcome to the trade! We’re delighted to be part of your first steps as a carpenter and thrilled that your shutter project is going so well. Thank you for the detailed feedback on our Poplar; we’re glad the quality and precision cuts met your high standards.
We also appreciate your honesty regarding the delivery updates and the natural variation in the first pack. As you mentioned, timber is a natural product, but we always strive for perfection. We’re currently looking at ways to sharpen our delivery notifications so our customers have more visibility. We’re glad the overall batch did the trick, and we look forward to supplying your next project!
Good timber, the delivery can be improved
No complaints about the timber and the cutting - all arrived as described, well wrapped and accurately sized. But the delivery company compromises the service. They give you a fixed delivery window of early morning to late afternoon and it's not possible to reschedule or to get a more precise time, even on the day, so you end up spending a whole day at home waiting for the delivery.

Thank you for the feedback regarding the quality and accuracy of your timber; we're glad to hear our workshop team hit the mark. However, we are very sorry for the frustration caused by the delivery window. We understand that waiting in all day is a significant inconvenience. We use external couriers for our deliveries, but we know their service reflects on us. We are sharing your feedback with our delivery partners to see how we can provide more precise tracking for our customers in the future. We appreciate your patience and hope to serve you again soon

Excellent packaging and very high quality products
I ordered some joined pine board from Timbersource as I couldn't get the particular size I wanted locally. I was a little apprehensive about getting it delivered to me in Scotland because of the chance of getting damaged in transit as it travelled the length of the country. But I needn't have worried. The boards arrived after a few days, and the packaging was extraordinary, with every edge of every board protected with strong cardboard angles, multiple layers of strong plastic wrap and more cardboard in between the layers. It was so well protected I would think it would survive even the most careless of couriers.
Once I had unpacked it all and left it to acclimatise, I checked it out thoroughly. Not a single nick on any edge, not a single dent. Every surface was flat, square and really smoothly finished, and the joins were perfect. Also, there were no end-to-end joins on any boards, which was a pleasant surprise especially on 3m long pieces. The difference in all aspects of care and quality compared to similar boards you'd get from typical hardware chains is huge - it's like night and day.
Thank you!

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience! We completely understand the apprehension of shipping timber from Somerset all the way to Scotland, but we’re thrilled that our 'extraordinary' packaging gave you peace of mind. We treat our timber like the premium product it is, so hearing that it arrived without a single nick or dent is exactly what we strive for.
We’re especially glad you noticed the lack of end-to-end joins on those 3m pieces; we believe that visual and structural integrity makes all the difference. It’s wonderful to hear that the quality felt like 'night and day' compared to the high-street chains. Enjoy your project, and we look forward to making the trip to Scotland for you again soon!

Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad to hear the timber was exactly what you were looking for and that our packaging stood up to the task. However, we are very sorry to hear that the courier service didn't meet those same high standards. We know that the delivery is the final, crucial step in your experience with us.
