Lee and Lee exceeded expectations in fitting my windows in an old cottage where nothing is straightforward. They were very skilled and respectful of my property completing the installation well in time. Have already noted an improvement in internal warmth. Should have had them fitted years ago! Excellent value for money.

We recently had a full service of our windows and doors installed about 10 years ago and were blown away by the service provided by Jake and John. Not only did they work like trogons, they were most respectful of both our property and of my wife and myself. Whilst they did have another job to go on to after ours, there was never any sign that they needed to cut corners to enable them to get away. What a great couple of employees Excell Timber Windows have together with great office staff too. We cannot recommend them highly enough.

We found every dealing with Timber Windows to be professional and everyone was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about their products. We had fantastic service from all office staff and excellent service from Glynn and Tony who fitted all our doors and windows. Glynn and Tony fitted everything with huge attention to detail, they were professional and reliable and incredibly flexible working amongst other tradesmen and three dogs who were always in their way! Firstly, I should warn you that if you enter into a contract with this company, you are not entering into a contract with Timber Windows Ltd. Instead, you are entering into a contract with a company named ‘Wealden Windows Ltd,’ which trades under the name Timber Windows of Maidstone. If things go wrong (as they did for us), Timber Windows Ltd will not assist you, advising that your contract and complaint lie with Wealden Windows Ltd.
Wealden Windows, trading as Timber Windows of Maidstone, was contracted to provide us with a dark brown, hardwood patio door in June 2022. We clearly stated that we wanted the new door to match our existing dark brown windows. We selected a colour swatch from their range, which was a very good match to our existing windows.
However, on two occasions, the door they delivered was not installed as it was stained in an incorrect colour. Although they verbally admitted at the time, on both occasions, that the doors were unacceptable, when I subsequently requested a full refund, I was met with a solicitor’s letter refuting my claim and refusing the refund.
The initial door was a much lighter brown than the dark brown sample we had agreed upon, and the door provided on their second attempt was vastly different in colour, more cherry red than dark brown. On neither occasion did the door match our existing windows or the colour swatch we had chosen. Despite this, in their solicitor’s letter, Timber Windows of Maidstone (Wealden Windows) claimed that on both occasions, the doors provided were ‘of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose (to replace existing patio doors), and as described.’
I was eventually able to progress a Section 75 claim via my credit card company, and the independent Financial Ombudsman agreed with my claim that Timber Windows of Maidstone (Wealden Windows) had been in breach of contract. My credit card company refunded me in full in March 2024. This was a lengthy process, as Timber Windows of Maidstone (Wealden Windows) often ignored our correspondence.
Needless to say, I would not recommend this company. Should you wish to verify, the Financial Ombudsman’s final decision is published on their website

Very pleased indeed with our new front door. Right from the beginning, and our dealings with David at the Harewood House branch, the whole process has been professional, efficient and pleasant. I highly recommend this company. Jak and James, who fitted the door, were punctual and carried out their work smoothly with a high degree of skill and great attention to detail. No complaints whatsoever.

The company gave me good advice as to the style of my three replacement windows and everything went to plan. I am so pleased with the finished result. They look very smart and should keep out the cold well. I would use this company again.

We had a new door and sash windows fitted last year and new casement windows this spring. The windows and door were beautifully made and fitted with fine attention to detail. The workmanship in both manufacture and installation is of top quality. All staff involved were friendly, polite, helpful, professional, efficient, thorough and accommodating at every stage in the process and all of whom were a pleasure to work with. We are delighted with the results and very pleased we went to Timber Windows for it all to be done. Very highly recommended - we would look nowhere else for any future work.

I had a mixed experience as Timber Windows was in the process of taking over Cotswold Timber Windows, which was the company that my partner had recommended, so there was some confusion at the start. I had two bay windows and 2 other sash windows replaced in my 120 year old house and as there was a delay in production, the installation dates were changed a couple of times. The scaffolding had already been erected but Timber Windows was very understanding and helpful. The installation was fine, though the installers didn't appear to have read the instructions that I was sent, and they were keen to race away once finished without any explanations. There was a slight problem with the finish on one bay and the team returned to try and deal with this which was great. Many thanks for your help, Alex.

Excellent service from the whole team from start to finish. The installation team did a fantastic job, were extremely professional, tidy and polite, and paid a lot of attention to detail. They replaced every window and door in our house over a period of 18 months and it has absolutely transformed the look of it so we are very happy. The quality and integrity of the products so far has been excellent, and we have received a good after service support.

High quality windows with extremely good customer service.

Our latest order was for 7 new sash windows in a very old house c17th Century. They did a brilliant job including the retention of ancient shutters on 3 of the windows which still close perfectly. Previous jobs include two stable doors and two larger dining room windows plus a difficult to access dormer window. All were done with a minimum of mess and completed very quickly. I would recommend them to anybody. Prices are high but quality is excellent.

We are very happy with the windows that we had installed. We replaced 8 windows and the front door. The replacement windows and door were very well manufactured and are high quality. The installation was over 3 days by 2 fitters and they did a great job. Very clean and tidy, no mess and everything cleared away after they finished the job.

Communication, on time, good finishing and all left neat and tidy.
